Sorry, but why are you punishing the actors and makers of the drama? it's fault of one or two people's how are…
This is about matter of perspective. Personally, if I was told that my character was originally gay, but they changed it to straight, I would immediatly decline such acting offer. Also, I doubt anyone who really knows S. Korea would argue about series airing online or on national TV - we know it is impossible for now. What does matter is that no Thai LGBT series have changed the sexuality bcs of "popularity" but the makers of this drama did exactly that. Also, I dont see ppl here actually doing boycotts in "korean scale". No one is in streets protesting, ppl are just not planning to watch this and spreading information about why are ppl doing it which I dont think is wrong.
For everyone who is struggling to suspend their disbelief, at the difficult plot, just a reminder: This is Joseon…
Depends on which stage of Joseon we are talking about. The re-marriage ban officialy came in effect with Seongjong's rule in 1477. Before that it was allowed, but frowned upon but the ban was very crucial for the Joseon period as not only were affected the women, but if they had male offspring, they couldn't take official governing posts.
A well-written and well-executed fairy tale in which the women of the Hua family are the heroes and work together…
Finally a show which shows the power of women without taking away the romance factor. Idk why so many Disney movies think that the key to female power is getting rid of the love interest.
But there is actually one death in last ep!! And also it turns very violent after ep 5 and we have some bloody…
For me, personally, it wasn't as violent show like Squid Game or Night Has Come which people were comparing it with :) It focused far more on the psychology and sociology, rather than killing. As you said, we had only one death, and this is why I disagree that this show is similiar to Squid Game or Night has come, which sold themselves with violence. This show never advertised itself as bloody or violent.
Each character has different ending. One person died, one person went to prison and as for others, they are living well, but most are down the earth after the experience.
I see this comment often. People who read about a death game immediately think of Squid Game and I say, it's only because of popularity, because there are other dramas and movies with death games :)
I'm not sure I agree with you about it being across Asia. Certainly cram schools (Hagwon in SK) are across many…
The problem is, that the uni entrance exams have questions that one would know only if they got extensive tutoring aka hagwon, so unless the level of difficulty changes, the hagwons are going to stand strong. S. Korea being S. Korea I doubt the level of difficulty ever changes, since they don't even accept foreign medical staff and not bcs of racism, but because they know the education system in their country is truly the world's top and they refuse to accept someone from less ''educated'' country.
Why the melodrama tag? There will be the schoolteacher turning into a psycho stalker with his revenge and that's…
An Pan Seok is known for his melodrama dramas, so I guess this won't be for you, even if I truly wish it would, cause this director truly picks projects that portray life in a very realistic form.
So has racism.
So, since they have been around forever, shall we continue supporting them?
I just know I spent those hours well.
I need Batay in my life.

In most dramas 911 is called.
