Coming back after completing to say how much I enjoyed this series all the way through! What a lovely surprise this turned out to be. Yes, it’s low budget but there’s so much heart it didn’t matter.
A Mini reunion! Mam, the actress that played THE mother in 180 degree and Pond! She was excellent in 180. Still at the top of the most hated mothers list for me. 😆
Side note: anyone else being pulled into the cinematography? It feels like I could reach out and feel the textures, the colors often muted yet so rich,
Absolutely loves this series!!! Extra points for: not giving her dad an undeserved redemption arc. Yusen making a point of not wanting a long distance relationship, thus skipping the dreaded separation trope and general noble idiocy .
Double extra points for; not rushing the ending and letting us enjoy the sweet moments.
Triple extra points for: the dad/daughter moments. They were the best squishhhhhhhhhh!!! Sooo on point and adorable when the daughter told Yusen that mom was strict with the points. 😍😍😍
I’m only on the first epi, but I am already loving the dialogue. I rewatched the scene where the ML laid out the perils of palace life to the naive young lady. I loved the weight and import of it. The cinematography is lovely as well.
Wacky, sometimes cringy floofy fun!The occasional unexpected tug at the heart pops up. It doesn’t end where you thing it’s going to, but it’s total OTT escape. Enjoyed. ☺️ … oh- and it has a boppy OST. 🎶
