Yessssss to all the above! These are not silly misunderstandings/miscommunications /omissions just to move the story along. There is an impressive amount of emotional weight behind these.
18: I am enthralled by the characters, the acting, the unexpected emotional depth. These are some of the most intricately layered misunderstandings I have ever witnessed. Kudos to the writer and actors for so soundly ripping our hearts out.
It is so, so easy to blithely say “ just communicate .” but past experiences cloud sight and judgement, as does fear. Rationale and reason fly out the window especially in an emotionally charged moment. I think of WSW’s mum. He is going to suffer so much more by not being told of her pending death. Of course It’s not going to save him heartache. It’s that she can’t face telling him she’s leaving. Avoidance is easier. People underestimate the power of fear and self preservation.

Kudos to the writers for not following the typical epi 11 curse! Yes there was angst BUT NO BREAKUP, no noble idiocy. They stayed strong together. Also the dad’s apology went far beyond the usual weak I hurt you because I want the best for you or the bombastic I know what’s best for you. He was very sincere. That is worth a world of points.

Agree 💯. Pond most certainly has range. Serious range. It’s impossible to understand sometimes what a director is looking for in a character. I struggled more with Earth’s character. I’m wondering if/how much the director pushed the cutesy behavior.
The finale epi highlight for me was the donning of the snazzy coats by the 3 fellas. I still didn’t like anyone and felt sorry for Gang Ju in the end. Time to move on! 👋☺️
