Yusen making a point of not wanting a long distance relationship, thus skipping the dreaded separation trope and general noble idiocy .

not rushing the ending and letting us enjoy the sweet moments.

the dad/daughter moments. They were the best squishhhhhhhhhh!!! Sooo on point and adorable when the daughter told Yusen that mom was strict with the points. 😍😍😍

I’m only on the first epi, but I am already loving the dialogue. I rewatched the scene where the ML laid out the perils of palace life to the naive young lady. I loved the weight and import of it.
The cinematography is lovely as well.

Wacky, sometimes cringy floofy fun!The occasional unexpected tug at the heart pops up. It doesn’t end where you thing it’s going to, but it’s total OTT escape. Enjoyed. ☺️

I started this on a whim. It turned out to be a nice gentle, slightly melancholic( in the best way) binge watch. Perfect to counter the holiday madness.

Does anybody else practically jump scare at the end of every epi because you are so intently focused that the match lighting is startling?
