On rewatch #____, I realized I don’t mind the last 3 epi’s. Not arguing that it could have been done more concisely. But there was an order to it, which I appreciated. It wasn’t 3 or 5 years, and it wasn’t a blind jump. I do think the writers made Ke Lan go out of character. I don’t think she would have stayed that cold that long. I agree the rating here isn’t what it should be, but that is greatly due to the awful subs on Mango. This is such a lovely series, that always leaves me with a happy heart. Hungry too. 🍅🥚😻😘🧵🪡
I recently rewatched the series, including this special. I enjoyed it all just as much. I think some didn’t get the dance at the end of the special. It tickled me to no end to see the cast celebrating; they had a great run.
Watched thru epi 7: It .kept me Intrigued to the end. This is one serious revenge series, Well done. I have a feeling it might have a tragic ending, Finale Update: It indeed surprised me; It did not go the way I was certain it was going to.She is not your run of the mill femme fatale.
The first episode left such a deep impression. I have rewatched it, and find myself coming back here to see if others have felt it as strongly. Indeed! It is magnetic. Top tier across the board. Anxiously awaiting epi 2!!!
I was quite impressed with the first episode. Shot beautifully, paced nicely, intriguing characters. I’m not one to theorize much, but I do have a couple of thoughts: 1. I think Wang changed the gps while mum was on the phone. This one sentence said it all; “I finally found a shortcut to you.” 2. The pictures.I keep looking at them. On rewatch I realized Wang took the pics with him. In instantly recognized Wang when they met. Was it because Wang looks so much like his dad? ? Did Wang only know him from Pics? I think when the mom said it had been 20 years since they had seen each other it was a generalization. In did say Wang wouldn’t remember, he was youn when he last saw him so they had spent some time together. . . Wang is Twenty, so….🤔 An aside: Loved all the globes in Wang’s room. Who wouldn’t daydream of traveling the world 🌎

The one point I’m disappointed in is that they made WYW go out of character by not telling him why she wanted to breakup. It’s her nature. OMO- she doesn’t hesitate to state facts- ever. She is hard wired to be straightforward. Granted she does get side tracked with the cases, but I feel like she would have spoken to him matter of fact, the same way she spoke straightforward with her birth mother. On another note: I think SY might be good for MW; she could help him face his petty self. For certain she won’t put up with his crap. Now, would it be worth it? Only the writer knows. Writernim; please don’t toy with our emotions!!!

Enjoy! I thought it ended up being a nicely balanced story. For me It certainly is more cohesive than I found Jinxed at First, Why Her, Heart of Genius to be. Even The Story of Xing Fu, though extraordinarily well acted, was extremely frustrating to watch. The antagonists had the upper hand over and over with very little consequence.

Mr. Lin gave up the fight. Mi Lu spiraled out of control, tried to run over An Yu and Moli pushed An Yu out of the way was hit instead. Mi Lu ends in jail. Moli was seriously injured , in a coma. Thankfully it didn’t last too long. He recovers (NO AMNESIA!), it ends with them together quietly walking. It was a quiet, but fitting happy ending.
I thoroughly enjoyed this series! The story had a nice progression, the leads had good energy.solid cast all around. For once, there were consequences to the antagonists actions. Thank you writernims! After all the recent writing debacles elsewhere this was appreciated! PS: My only quibble with production is the music editing needed some fine tuning. At times the underscoring was too loud… well, that and the scarves on the men.
On episode 4 and i love it so far. I hope the FL will soon learn everything the ML has done for her. I can't get…
Love how business savvy ML is! Such a nice reprieve from the “ big boss” CEO’s that can’t see past their nose and get taken for fools. . Mo Li is always one step ahead, a great strategist. The leads make a great understated power couple.
