i'm confused their hair looks the same :/So, you haven't watched the drama and the movie isn't out yet but from…
I just finished the drama and I take back what I said: The drama is definitely better than the movie! The FL in the movie may look prettier, but the one in the drama is more meaningful. Well, the drama is more meaningful, perhaps bc there is more room for characters development.
Let me guess: at some point you were a little tired of the controversy too. I enjoyed this drama immensely and…
I admit I was one of those who had some prejudice against it before even giving it a chance. Just bc I really dislike those FLs who play the victim all the time and I though Seol was going to be just one more of them. I'm glad I was wrong and gave it a chance. I really liked it bc the leads felt 'real' to me. I mean, there are a lot of people out there who face those same kind of situations and (re)act like them. The thing here many ppl don't seem to understand is that what really caught You Jeong's attention about Hong Seol was not her looks. He said himself he thought everybody was just interested in what they could get from him, in taking advantage of him. When he saw she wouldn't behave like that, he thought she was diferent and she could be 'worthy'. Same thing for her: she thought he was just arrogant and manipulative, but there was a lot more to it. They both saw each other as a 'victim' of the others and, at the same time, they both helped each other to 'react' and 'leave their shell'. They helped each other to improve and that was just fantastic to me. I wished there was a more beautiful ending, but it was not bad as well. It gives us the hint of how it's gonna be.
Tbh, I had some kind of prejudice against this drama before watching it. I thought the FL was going to be that kind of annoying one for playing the victim all the time. When I decided to give it a go, I thought it was going to be one of those dramas worth only by the ML's and SL's good looks. And In-ha was both funny and annoying, and I thought that was going to be all. I ended up finishing this drama in 3 days, bc I really liked how the characters are presented and how they are developed. It was really interesting how it was shown how one's childhood influences on their behaviour in adulthood (no surprise here, but still) and how it may affect one's relationship with ppl. As for the FL... she's actually a strong person, bc having to face the situations she goes through and having the strenght to stand them and move forward is not easy. And it's sth so many ppl out there face too. Plus, being able to put yourself in the other's shoes and comprehend and accept them the way they are is no easy thing. Bc of all of that I really liked the FL. She's not that "no matter what, she's always smiling and having an optimistic pov of the world". She gives her best, she tries not to bother with things, but she smiles when she's happy and looks down when she's not. And I really enjoyed everything about You Joung, how he feels about people, how he deals with his problems, and how he deals with the situation when he realises his behaviour. I think both the leads were very mature ones, despite having a lot more to improve (which they start doing in the meantime). And I never get tired of looking at Park Hae Jin. He looks like perfection!
I watched the first episode yesterday and it didn't seem bad, except that it felt like a déjà-vu of Ex-Girlfriend Club (which, funny enough, has the same actress as the FL) and I already have my bet on who's Ha Ni's father.
In my opinion, the film is quite interesting. I know that many people accuse it of the grotesque gore, but I liked…
I guess the plot was meant to show how kids may turn out to be due to their relationship with their parents, mostly. (and although we may understand what led them to such behaviour, I also didn't feel sorry for them) Aiba was a huge surprise to me and really disappointing. But I've gotta admit it made the plot even more interesting due to the unexpected. Did you manage not to cry in the end? I cried both when Shouko cried bc Haruka was bullied and in the end. Although Taeko didn't take action to bully Haruka in any way, she would watch everything happen and wouldn't do anything against it (perhaps she's used to have her mother bullied by her father and wouldn't do anything as well, so she'd be only repeating that cycle). Because she allowed her 'friends' to do what they did, she's as guilty as they are. Interesting thing is that everything started because of her, lots happened, she didn't lift a finger and she was the only one who was standing in the end.
Well, I think it was a nice adaptation, although I expected more of it. The actors played really well their roles and Matsuda's acting was just AWESOME. They should make the sequel bc seeing Kaneki's 'development' and wearing his mask is a MUST.
BAD! This was pretty bad, my god!!! And somebody had the 'brilliant' idea to turn it into a musical! That was one of the very few movies I forwarded bc I couldn't stand when the singing began. It just wasn't a complete waste of time bc there were some few funny moments. I loved the anime and I expected the plot to be 'followed' in this adaptation, but it was a total disappointment. It would had been better to rewatch the anime. Or re-read the manga.
How can you like Yagami. Dude was as bad as every other male in Chuwa's life.
Can't even remember the character, but I probably meant how well the characters were adapted in comparison to the manga, not if I 'liked' their personalities, since I didn't like both how the main roles were played and the terrible wig worn by the FL, as you can read above.
Woah, I really liked this series! At first it looked like just a videogame (like Resident Evil, Silent Hill) and I thought it was going to be a meaningless gory thing, but it was actually pure analogy. It's not a disease, it's not contagious. You simply develop it due to your instincts. You turn into a monster if you can't control your emotions/instincts. And that's just how it is irl. That made me go "wow, that's like a slap on ppl's faces that should be ashamed of their doings/lifestyles". Looking forward the second season. Hope they don't make us wait much.
What will happen to Hyun Soo and other survivors? Is the gangster guy going to be Hyun Soo's ally (or is he actually…
Good point! I had forgotten the monster had invaded the tank! I was wondering if Sang Wook didn't die bc he was turning into a monster and they just didn't show it to the audience, but it makes a lot more sense the monster invading his dead body and taking Hyun Soo along with him. It would also explain how Hyun Soo wasn't killed, since the army was already shooting at him once he stepped out the building. I also hope there's a second season. It was really good!
I wished there was a more beautiful ending, but it was not bad as well. It gives us the hint of how it's gonna be.
