Although there were some silly stuff, I really liked it. I cried, I smiled so much my cheeks would hurt, and I disliked Audrey's bf so much lol I thought 2 hours would be too much, but I barely felt the time. It's a nice watch to warm one's heart. <3
Have you read the novel? Aha, basically the original source of this franchise. I couldn't get through the manga…
I see your point. I also don't understand some odd translations given to movie/series/dramas titles. I notice that a lot from English to Portuguese (my mother tongue) and it just makes no sense to me. But... some adaptations made in plots also don't, so I don't even try to understand those ppl's ideas. lol

No idea there was a novel. Gonna look it up, bc well, since I've read the webtoon and watched both the anime and the drama version, I just need to compare everything lol. Thanks for the tip! Btw, what did you find about the drama?
Kind similar to Avengers Social Club is V.I.P., which I've recently watched. It's about infidelity and it got me willing to slap some faces of some characters. lol
I remember City Hunter was one of the first K-dramas I watched. Kim Na Na showed me the first type of female character I can't stand. The drama was a drag to me.
I've recently started watching Black, but I've been trying to find reasons to not drop it. The main idea of the plot is interesting, but I didn't see anything like that in that drama so far.
I've also started recently Another Miss Oh, but I think I'm about to see 'the pretty Oh Hae Young' going pitiful. For now, she just talked about how she was about to give up running the marathon halfway. I'm finding it entertaining so far just bc I like the craziness of the 'ordinary Oh Hae Young' and her mother. They've made me laugh so hard!
As for Shin Se Kyung... I didn't watch Six Flying Dragons (although I have on my watchlist, but now I'll probably reconsider watching it), but I've watched Fashion King and I STRONGLY disliked her character at that time. But ok, that was just a character. Then I watched When a Man's in Love, Blade Man and The Bride of Habaek (just bc I had read the manga, but I was already expecting the disappointment) and girl... she's always crying and suffering and being pitiful I just can't stand watching anything she's on anymore. I know it's not the actress' fault. I think she's beautiful and sweet, but I can't stand the characters she usually plays.
I've had already added this drama to my watchlist, but now I got even more interested on it. Thank you for taking your time to share your pov about it. And in case you haven't watched it yet, I suggest you watching V.I.P. I've binge-watched it recently and it's got strong female characters as well.
True. Objective comments can lead to nice discussions but mostly a lot of people don't take kindly to unpopular…
Well, haters gonna hate, right? If I liked a drama very much and someone didn't seem to like it and dropped it, I sometimes do try to convince them to keep watching, by telling them how the drama follows (with no spoilers), so perhaps they may change their minds, but it's a common sense not everybody will share the same preferences, and that's totally ok. I hope your article reaches more ppl who may reflect on the point you wanted to highlight here. Congrats for it!
If I'm not mistaken, I think I've added only Her Private Life to my watchlist, but haven't felt like watching it yet. The others didn't catch my attention. Although there are different povs (gladly), I still read users' comments. Not bc they say they like this or that, but bc some are more 'objective' and focus more on what happens or not (for example, I tend to dislike dramas with a never-ending vengeance or with second leads who spend their whole time plotting agains the main leads). Bc there are too many dramas out there, we've gotta try to 'filter' them somehow, and the best way I found that works for me is reading reviews and comments (and sometimes spoilers). I find them pretty useful and they may even be a starting point to discuss a pov/interpretation on sth. Ofc there will always ppl who disagree, but that's normal. I think the point is trying to guess what comment seem to share a similar way of thinking about some subject as you do when you go through them (for example, I'm not someone who gets bothered bc of age gap in relationships, so if a comment express that, I don't give it importance).
Oh... my mood goes where the drama I watch goes. I might not be in the mood, but if the drama is good and my type…
I actually understand the reason for the flashbacks. In My Secret Romance, which I used as an example, they wanted to show the characters were constantly remembering their sweet moments with each other, as a way to reinforce to the audience that they were 'reeeeally' in love. The problem is when they overdo it, like they did in that drama. What was supposed to convey 'sweetness' ends up being a nuisance.
I don't usually drop dramas, since I tend to choose them carefully. I know myself well enough to know what my current mood is so I choose a drama that suits my interest atm. Sometimes I remove a title of my watchlist when I think I won't enjoy it nowadays (and perhaps I would if I did it when I was younger, like Boys Over Flowers, for example) and add sth I previously thought I wouldn't enjoy it (usually as a result of how good it was scored and by reading the comments of ppl who have watched it already). I do drop dramas sometimes, bc I don't really want to 'force myself' to watch sth I'm not enjoying, but that doesn't happen often. Sth I didn't use to do and now I do is skipping some scenes, if they are not really 'needed' to the plot (like the huge amount of flashbacks in My Secret Romance, since there's no point to me watching a replay of scenes showing the same perspective. That's just a waste of time).
I'm currently on my THIRD watch of this and it's even better now than the first two times I watched it. Your comment…
I totally agree with you. I mean Daniel is 'pitiful' bc I felt sad for him. His love was selfless, but he still felt hurt for not being the one in Ellie's heart. I guess it was a rational decision of him when he took her back to Geon, bc he was aware that no matter the time and distance, her heart still wouldn't be really his. I mean, she had 3 years to recover and he stayed by her side and still she couldn't accept his proposal. So he realised there would be no point trying to insist on sth that wouldn't happen (making her love him) and gave it up. He could have just left to France with her and tried to keep approaching her, but he still had done that for 3 years and he didn't get 'anything' (in terms of relationship) out of it. So I don't mean he was pitiful for what he did. Far from it. He was pitiful just bc it was sad for him from the beginning to the last episde.
I know it's too late, like, I really respect all of your opinions. I just want to say mine.Maybe, this drama was…
That comment of your should be a Review. It's really great. It would just be nice if it was marked as a spoiler, bc it gives a way too much information for someone who hasn't watched the drama yet. Hope you don't get me wrong. It was your comment that made me decide add this drama to my watchlist.

When Daniel took 'Ellie' to France, I wished they would be together, romantically speaking. I wished she moved on from her painful past and had a fresh start both in her love life and in her career. Daniel was so caring, so kind, and liked her very much. But I knew that was unlikely, since, well, we usually know from the very start who's gonna end up with whom. He was pitiful from the beginning to the last episode, always looking for his sister and having his expectations going down, meeting people who tried to take advantage of him, being turned down by the one person he fell in love with... there wasn't a single moment he was truly happy. All he had was expectations. Really, if he hadn't met his sister in the end, I wouldn't had rated this drama that high.
