As a recovering self harmer and someone who suffered depression severe enough try to do something I shouldn't,…
After watching this movie, would you mind sharing your pov about it? Although it's not a 'positive' subject, it would be interesting (to say the least) getting to know about how well this movie portrayed such reality.
Oh god, I hate this trope of 'omg so ugly cos i'm fat but hey, imma undergo plastic surgery because skinny is…
I guess it may be bc the beauty pattern in Japan (and Korea and China) is being skinny, as we can see in most dramas/movies. Most are so skinny they look like they're gonna break.
Well, since I don't wat to spoil the development of the story for you, I'm just gonna tell you she herself ends…
Lol! I guess you got hooked by it just like me, then! So... did you change your mind already? I mean, not about the romance not being necessary, but about 'him' developing feeling for 'her'. ^^ It's not like they 'love' each other, but like they're each other's treatment, so they need each other to feel fine/happy.
I don't think Hee Jee feels concerned about the relationship btw the doctor and the patient; I think she feels…
But it's still interesting, don't you think? I liked this drama bc it portrays how some real ppl behave. I mean, I like 'fairy tales' and happy endings, but dramas that are similar to real life are so much more entertaing! *_*
I'm here to let go of the frustration the last couple of episodes put me through, so if anyone read this I'm sorry...…
Don't be frustrated, Natalia! Don't! You see, the relationship thing is not only about the transference, but it's also a way to picture how people may get into relationships not bc of love but due to psychological needs (like the doctor and his trauma and Woo Joo and her abandonment issue). Unfortunately, many ppl are like that but they're not aware about it. It's just like Dr. Lee said: everbody is sick. Some just don't know it yet. As for Woo Joo thinking she can back to normal life already by herself, many ppl who have some psychological issue thinks like that. Most deny having a pathology, which is pictured really well by the drama, and when they get to know they have it, they think they're fine and they don't need any treatment. And as for Dr. Jee Young not telling Woo Joo about her diagnostic, she says herself it was due to uncertainty. She seems to me she doesn't think she's good enough on what she does, which I think is confirmed when she refers Woo Joo to Dr. Lee (and also bc she thought she would be helping him to overcome his trauma at the same time), since she couldn't gey any progress in her treatment. In the last episodes aired, she tell Woo Joo she won't be loved the way she is, etc just out of jealousy/envy, since she also likes Dr. Lee. That was unprofessional of her, but it was her behaving like a woman. Dr. Lee told her she had problems since he met her. She realised it herself later. And the way of treating psychological problems is finding out what caused them, but it's not easy to get that from the patient, and that's one of the reasons why psychological problems take a long time to get treated, Plus, even when the patient is aware about it, it's not easy to overcome the problem. I can tell by experience.
ahhhh.. I finished episode 20 and I'm crying right now.. It's just that, their relationship gives me so much pain..I…
I don't think Hee Jee feels concerned about the relationship btw the doctor and the patient; I think she feels envy and perhaps even inferior towards Woo Joo, bc a borderline was able to get in a relationship with a doctor when she herself didn't get any progress with Dr. In, who's in love with a woman who's in love with the doc who fell in love with a borderline (and that'seating her up inside as well, since she's his psychiatrist, knows him well, and probably is in love with him since they were classmates).
I wish it didn't have any romance... At least on his part. I'm not on episode 10 yet (watching 8 right now) but…
Well, since I don't wat to spoil the development of the story for you, I'm just gonna tell you she herself ends up saying why she fell for him, and the same thing happens to the psychiatrist. There are sth here and there that happen that makes him realise how he feels towards her. And despite the romance not being necessary, perhaps it was used to picture a situation that may actually happen irl. If I may give you a suggestion, take your time to watch this show: I binged watching it, now it feels it takes a lifetime to the next release.
I think you bring up a good point about moving on to a better show if you don't particularly like something about…
But it's not that I don't like the storyline; it's just that it feels I'm watching the same drama twice. Ofc, the cast is different and there are certainly some differences in the story, but, to me, it feels repetitive. I may watch this drama someday, but I like to vary the plot a little (and that's why I tend to watch more than one drama at a time). Not complaining about the drama itself; it's more a complain about the timing. XD
I'm only half way through but like...1. the only reason taepyung fell in love with that female detective is because…
That 'superpower the guy has over everybody except one woman and he ends up falling in love with her as a result of a curiosity about what she would have of so special that his powers do not work only on her' reminds me of Twilight. LOL!
Unlike most of the reviewers below, this drama brought me nothing but pure joy. I know the story is super cliché…
I got curious about the ending, since many mention that - most in not a very good perspective. Would you mind telling me about it? I'm not sure whether I watch it or not and I think knowing the ending previously may help me decide it.
You definitely won me with your article. I loved it and I got very interested in watching this drama, specially bc I love dramas about psychology/mind issues.
The main actor and actress caught my attention, but I started reading the synopsis and it sounded I was reading about Wait in Beijing (which I'm currently watching). Not gonna watch the 'same story' twice in a row, no matter how much I like Dilraba.
Is there a happy ending? Well, in a way. Many ppl die, many ppl suffer. It's dark and it may be a bit 'heavy' for ppl who are not into such kind of plot. How I interpret the 'point' of the plot of this drama: humans are the only source of evil. You can't blame god for bad things happening to you. You can't just sit down and wait for problems to get solved by some deity. And don't ever think you truly know the other person if you weren't in their shoes and didn't have the same life experience they did. If you read this and think you could enjoy this drama, give it a try. And be aware that the 'focus' of this drama is the end, although it may sound obvious. Good prevails bad, but it doesn't come easy.

Man, it's been 10 years and she looks just the same! woah!
