I also felt like story and acting issues aside- the character of AE was kind of creepy, cold and manipulative. See AE teach his crush how to: smoke, get trashed in bars, try to sleep with him and then when he feels guilty- ghost the crush. If they had given him a drama split personality with no awareness of each other- that would have made more sense. As Enaga was goofy, fun and cute and a hard worker.
Just finished series and was glad to see someone mention your points 1 and 3 in particular- just lazy writing/plotting. Time skips are usually a bad sign. Also at one point I thought- so the interns are basically fair game for trying to bed/romance eh? And making the interns so inept. Only Tae would have lasted, the others stupid mistakes/attitude would have had them sent back to uni with a "we won't be working with your school again".... Still had lot of fun moments.
Thanks for review- I am struggling to get through episode 2. Like one more minute of laying around and being bored in the mall and whether to send another selfie or not..... I want heightened reality- not mundane reality lol. But it looks like things pick up then (ungelled fingers crossed)
this is comic gold: "Watch Suggestions (me trying to take out the angst and violence in this series would be like taking out all the scenes where Pharm says P'Dean in Until We Meet Again)."
I think you have to accept the world as is- if you want flluff- this probably is not the series for you.
I love the intro of the series. also the premise. The script, actors and director didn't always deliver- especially in the finale- things jumped about abruptly and the actors did 2018 K-drama fish kisses- compexities were not realized. But the art/scene design was great- anytime the magic shrine/world-jumping was involved- I was there for it. I'd give it a 7/10, acting 6/10. Worth a look though
oh Monster and Eternal Yesterday plus for fun My Love MixUp and Cherry Magic- looks like our tastes align quite a bit! I watched first episode of School Trip and will have to subscribe to Glala so I can support this and a few other series
I could write essays about how this is one of my personal favourites, its very beautiful, bittersweet and so realistic.…
Absolutely- this feels so much deeper and more realistic than most KDramas. Sexually frank (not a dead fish lip kiss in sight!), flawed and complex characters, no jealousy as One True Love, etc etc. Of course, this means this series is not for everyone. It hit me the way some Japanese series did (Where Does the Sea Begin comes to mind. Though this series balanced wildness and humor more- so not an exact fit).
I saw your profile pic- and thought "Well there's no way they'll ever do live action AOT- unless they have major budget----and there is this out lol. If its available somewhere- I might check it out. But the manga and anime are hard to beat...
He and another contestant final place on Makemate was disappointing- poor guy- he finished in top 8 everytime, but the "C Mates" votes counted for 60% and apparently they pulled rug out on him in finale. Their votes were never disclosed- which left a lot to be desired on transparency for this project. He has great pipes and dances well- maybe needs a bit more assertiveness- be the leader on a project- grab yourself the best part and compete!
GEONWOO: MISUNDERSTOOD OR JUST ACTING?When it comes to survival shows, every trainee ends up being judged not…
Yes fascinating stuff- he is very tall with a small face- this is what the proucers saw- and they know what they are doing- ZB1 is pretty successful. I do think some of those friendship moments are story lines to boost some over others. And with 160 mostly experienced and hardworking trainees for only 8 spots- it was hard to stand out from the crowd without screen time. I'm always suspicious of allegations that appear right as someone competes. And with how many hours trainees are expected to work daily- what leader is not abusive to some extent? So it is fascinating- and as you say- who can tell what is real.
Okay now that it's done, looking back at the thing as a whole, it wasn't actually a hard watch, but wasn't a good…
I think Idol Factory should take acting and developing their signees more seriously- Poom also had zero chemistry with his co star in the Sign. What a disappointment for Saint in his return to BL- he also miscast himself- I get he wanted to be a swashbuckling heroic type- errrrrmmmmm it was pretty flat. On the other hand- the intro song was great. Grandma was good. So was the scheming villager----the young chaos trio was fun comedically. The writing was weak and all over the place.

Fluffy: My love mix-up(japan original version), add GMMTV My School President
add Semantic Error (enemies to love- very well-done)
add indie: Eighth Sense- surfing, college, first love- some intense issues-
mental health
ghost story- one of the few bls with a sense of mystery- underrated:
He's Coming to Me- both leads can act well
warning: Until We Meet Again has a very intense opening- it is one of my faves- but maybe don't start that one for a while....
I want heightened reality- not mundane reality lol.

work shine.
