Totally 💯 I am enjoying this story (Flourished Peony continuing as In the name of Blossom on Episode 17 without skipping any parts!). Some of the comments here have been unfair I felt. The only bit which I felt could have been avoided in the script in a part of one episode! Again it's not totally unworthy being there as it helped Mudan reflect on her own purpose and goals for personal and professional development... It's a historical drama set in the Tang dynasty. Trading, culture, politics, behaviour and interpersonal relationships are all in line with the era. Acting is top notch especially YAng Zi. Amazing cast and breathtaking cinematography! So many positives 😀 😀 And there is plenty of romance - as others mentioned it's not physical but it shows in innumerable other ways in both seasons! Glad to know it's doing very well in China. Ppl should judge it themselves!

Very well said 👏👏👏 I don't know if this is applicable to his fans in China but I will just add that in various platforms/discussions about him, people seem to think he only does CEO type roles and that he is typecast! It is misleading for people who want to know and follow him and gives the impression that his acting skills are limited! Having followed him for years and having seen 90% of his dramas I can absolutely say that is not true!He has played, green, grey, red, black shady characters. Just take these for example - My Marvellous fable, 19th Floor, White Cat Legend, Lady revenger returns to fire and Flourished Peony. None of these are romcoms and he doesn't play a CEO in any of these! But people seem to remember him more for the dramas where he played a boss because his acting in these roles were so good that they probably can't see anyone else playing these roles so perfectly! Only if more people watch many of his dramas (past included)and give a fair rating that more people will come to know about him and that can boost his popularity. And the rest will follow! I don't understand the ABC listing in China but I do believe he deserves better scripts and major roles!
