Well done! I am very impressed with The Eighth Sense. The cinematography is a masterpiece. This series is now the gold standard to which I will compare all future BL/Yaoi shows.

The ex-girlfriend (Eun Ji) is not worth the effort of trying to be friends with or any sort of conflict resolution. Also, the not-a-friend (Tae Hyung) was trash. He was jealous of Jae Won's wealth and connection. He only hung out with him for the benefits. I would have excised that POS from my life and never looked back so I disliked the reconciliation. I wished for more about the parents on both sides reacting to the relationship and whether Jae Won was actually going to pursue photography. These felt like loose ends.

I am surprised at the 8.2 rating. I gave this a 9/10. The cinematography is a masterpiece. It was well acted and had an engrossing plot. I was very into surf culture growing up in California so I may have a little bias there. The directors and staff are focused on engaging with fans which is great to see. I gave it a 9 because I thought things were a little too neat at the end but then again not (see spoiler). I really liked the emphasis on mental health treatment. This is an important issue. I highly recommend this series and would strongly encourage my fellow BL fans to watch it. It is now my new gold standard to which I will compare future shows.

It looks like the uncut version is on iQIYI. GagaOOlala has the "next break" insertions but is missing a flash back of the NC scene.

I respectfully disagree. Uea's reaction the morning after convinces me he feels awful about it and regrets it immensely. Uea definitely sees it as a bad thing. Frankly, so does King. He wakes up alone and tries calling to no avail. He knows that taking a drunk Uea to bed was a bad decision.

MDL has the official start date for the series as 2/8. It's only 2/7 in the USA so it's not airing yet per MDL.

Did this drama get removed from Viki? It's saying not accessible in my area. So strange. I was going to rewatch it last night and it came up but no go today.

It's a coming of age story so there are a lot of growing pains. I think the worst of it was when Eiw realized he was gay when he watched Love of Siam with his sister. I am usually very stoic but this made me cry a bit. Scale wise, its a solid 5. The beautiful moments even it out.

On the upside, it is a quick read. I feel validated that you agree with me. LOL It will be interesting to see what the series does with the story line.

More specifically brat and brat tamer. The brat tends to have a make me type attitude which is part of the play. Rain shows this attitude as well. He is quite feisty. He also likes to please and has a praise kink.
