When Japanese film makers decide to make something weird then they go all out. It was disturbing but fascinating at the same time.

It was on wattpad. It is a very short read.

So, Yai runs into a drunk scientist who says he has found a drug to make male rats pregnant. Yai takes this drug accidentally (if I remember correctly) and then begins having morning sickness. Dragon takes Yai to the doctor and its a false alarm obviously. It was utterly ridiculous.

Absolutely icky. The story is a toxic mess fest. Yai ends up being the victim of his own plan.

Understandable. I went through the trouble of reading the book so I am curious as to how they adapt it.

Intent was never SA. Blackmail with compromising video was the plan but it backfired.

I have also seen it and more than once. It's interesting from a psychological perspective. Did the captive have Stockholm Syndrome? Was the captor doing it all just to save the captive from suicide?

The book is worse and had a male pregnancy plot device. I am not kidding. I almost threw my iPad.

That is the exact impression I got of Yai in the book too.

From the book, Yai was never going to SA Mangkorn. He planned to take video of him passed out and in a compromising situation (still icky). Yai then accidental drugs himself and they have sex. This story is a toxic mess but does have some sweet moments.

Thank you for your response. I did not take it as condescending at all and I actually agree with you especially for the first time. I am not a gay man but would considered myself well versed in this type of play. There is going to be a bit of discomfort while "things" adjust. "Moisturizer" and massage are the basics for preparing the receiver. Unfortunately, there are limitations to what can be shown on TV or streaming platforms for mass appeal. The scene in question is unrealistic for a number of reason not just the lack of "moisturizer". For a fictional scene, it achieved its goal of entertainment.

It will be interesting to see where their relationship goes in the next 3 episodes. I believe their arc completes in episode 7. I bet any money Rain is going to balk (freak out or backtrack) for a bit. It would only make sense once he realizes what he signed up for.

It is a tricky area given their dynamic. Rain indeed wants to please Payu but he does not understand why. He loves when Payu praises him or pats his head. Rain is essentially in a D/s relationship without knowing it. This is a bit problematic because Payu certainly knows what he is doing. It's all fictional and should be watched by adults old enough to separate fiction and real life. In real life, I would question whether this was grooming to a certain extent because Rain is so naive. I would not have progressed the relationship to this level until Rain caught up intellectually and emotionally. I look at things from a different lens then most.

Coaxing is a mild form of coercion which does not equal consent. Agreed. Rain was given the opportunity to stop with the question of "Will you?" when being shown the "raincoat". He voiced that the did not know how and was told he would be taught. It's an improvement for Mame actually. However, it is not the resounding clear consent I would have liked to see.

I disagree. With appropriate prep, the first time can be smooth. Obviously, this cannot be shown in the series so it is left to the imagination.

Please be careful in jumping to a conclusion. Relying on a pre-moistened "raincoat" is insufficient moisturizer.

Love in the Air does have an 18+ rating and shows what it can within those guidelines. Somethings are meant to be left to your imagination. It is for entertainment purposes and not educational ones. However, I do see your point of including the "raincoat" and "moisturizer" together in the scene. Application of the moisturizer cannot be show obviously but is required as self-lubrication does not occur. There are a vast array of online resources to help answer your questions.
