Wow! wait until you see episode 28. It is going down with an exorcism. XH and JL work together because XH wants to bring down LW. Now, you will see that JL takes a pill and she acts like she is possessed with Aunt Hu's child.
We have 40 episodes people!!!! Can we please stop giving us one episode. We need 2. This drama is too much. Loving every minute, aren't you?
@aera is it? This drama is off the chain. It is so good. From the first episode up until episode 25 it has not stopped. It holds your attention, and the pacing of the plot is well done. Both the ML and FL are nicely matched. You will not be disappointed.
HZH of course, he now sees that ZGD is not even willing to compromise for HYM. We all knew this. It is about him. Again, nothing ever revolved around her and what her needs and career consisted of. You notice he pushed back on HZH and said can HYM come to France. That wasn't the question. He again reversed it as he always did in conversations with her to put her on the receiving end of, he desires and not hers.
This relationship would not work ever, in my opinion because he would never be willing to compromise in any given situation in their lives. What he wanted would always be him first, career and then her.
The killer is that if he loved her so much and after she broke up, if he truly wanted to be with her, he would have got on a plane and gone to her, but he didn't. I am glad to see she got the strength to move on in her own way. I can so relate to her on this. I did the same thing except I left and went to Europe. I get it and totally understand her feelings of not wanting to speak and immersing yourself in your job and not dating. I feel like she is doing each phase of my life here.
This new guy, I am not sure about him. I believe he is the one she eventually marries but I think he has some issues. He seems a bit stalkerish, yet quite possessive right now. But he does say he wants to break up with her in one of the teasers, not sure what that is about. HYM, I think she is going to be mad when she finds out that he purchased that apartment for her. It is going to come out you know.
Liking the relationship unfolding between HZH and SGS. It was funny to see his expression when he woke up the next morning and she had left. It was like, you had your fun and you left me? But I think SGS family is a trip. Not sure what the stepfather did to her, but we can all kind of guess what he did. In episode 18, SGS gives HZH pajamas for him to use when he stays over her place which means she is opening up more to having a relationship with him.
But you know, XA text him a picture of some perch she cooked meaning what? HZH better set some boundaries with her and make it clear because SGS is fragile in her own way where relationships are concerned.

Here's the breakdown. EPR thought she was going to make the biggest bad ass announcement by saying JL was XFF. So, we saw the shocked look of the announcement on the faces of SYR, JYB, Chancellor Li and then the emperor. Those looks seriously were priceless.
EPR even thought she had the upper hand by pulling in the chick from the nunnery that we already knew that JL told her she better watch herself. We knew she wasn't going to listen. But JL is lucky she has XH in her corner because she countered again with her own witness. That was too good. Ok, next move EPR.
Next play by EPR, I know that SYR will tell them that this is his wife. HAHA...NOT! He stepped up and had a set today. He said, "Hell naw. That isn't my wife, and don't you think I would know if she was." Damn, now that was the biggest counter yet. He owed JL that.
Last play by EPR, dig up the bones. Say what? Well, my fine-looking emperor was done and told EPR, to start to steppin back to her crib because her ass was now not allowed to leave unless the emperor said otherwise. But you know, EPR was going to trip out, grab one of the soldier's swords injured one and almost got JL until Daddy JYB stepped in front but it gets better when XH has his fan to stop it going any further. Love him and that fan. So cool.

This is one of the most well-written and performed dramas that deals with relationships that I have seen to date. Her current relationship, I can totally relate.
The problem was it was all about ZGD. He didn't see her. He saw only himself and she was just the added bonus to the relationship. He never (in my opinion) viewed it as a couple but him and then her.
ZGD made all the decisions with his career and pretty much how he felt hers should be. The statements he made about her job were so misplaced. He gave her no benefit in her job or that success she could achieve with her own merit. That was so wrong. Before they even went out for the day, he should have explained to her that he did try to get time off and he would try to limit his calls as much as possible, but he still was on duty unfortunately.
I do give ZGD credit at the party for introducing her as his girlfriend but that is all I can give him. He didn't really stay with her but left her to herself. Not paying any attention to her but talking to his friends. Furthermore, he could have NOT gone to the party and stood up to his mother because that was their time to be together after she had flown all the way there. Plus, he could have told her that it was an evening gown affair.
I have to say, I was proud of her for just not saying anything but going with the flow. But enough is enough especially when you can see how his mother was with "LuLu" and the look she gave her as she was standing outside looking in. That was how she was always going to be, on the outside looking in.
When she left, and he saw that she was gone. Why didn't he tell them he had a situation that he had to go and needed to leave. He could have made up a story and got on a plane and showed her the sincerity he had for the relationship and her feelings. But we all knew that wasn't going to happen. His career is what he was about, and she knew after the party that it was time to part ways. She kind of knew when she was going there to see him, I believe this would be a make or break for them and it turned out to be the latter.
The funny thing is, he acted like nothing happened and continued to call her like everything was fine. Never thinking to make the situation better, but it would never be that way until he decided to let her have a voice in the relationship, make decision together, or at least discussed them and not let his be the only voice to be heard. It again, was time to move on.
ZGD will never concede to be the person to show that he has a flaw. He saw what happened to his parents and he even said he didn't want her to leave him. Which we know he has issues from what he has seen with his parents.
I have to say, he definitely was a passion man. Those kisses and the seduction he had would pull any woman in. Now she will move on and good for her.
With regards to HZH, he should have turned down XH's father. I feel it was wrong for him to approach HZH to go to see how his daughter was doing. I felt that was so unfair of him to put him in that position but again, he could have told him respectfully, which he did state they were no longer together, that he did not wish to cross that bridge again. Sometimes you just have to shut things down.
Something must happen with the new guy that she wants to move out of the place she has in episode 15.
He then gets into a fight in episode 16 but they get closer.

JL said that story today. Yes, she did. Gurl, was fire!!! We had the folks from the town give their deal, then we had the guys who work for JL's daddy say if they were lying annihilate their clan. Say what? They all were not playing. Do you hear me? Annihilate. Wow.

Working my nerves with her "Baby Jane" lipstick. Between her and JSR, I don't know who makes me madder, oh and now we have consort that will be added to this trio of evil.
Did you see how stupid SYR looked when his father-in-law wasn't having none of him acting like he was so concerned. I know the man may seem like his mental state is rocked but he still knows faces. He knows what he did. Love me some YSJ who stepped in and handled that situation.
I still would love to know why SYR aka (Pussy Whipped) is with the Princess, what gives with that.
And the emperor, he was not having any of their crazy. Smackdowns were on! Yes, love seeing him and XH working together. I have to say the emperor is nice looking too, especially when he smiles.
I still say the XH knew about her, and he moved her body from that grave. I don't know why. But she asks him to go find the body to prove that she is JL. I think she gets away with it according to how it looks in the previews.
Completed this drama. Good ending as best it could be with this drama.
Well, I stick to what I said earlier. The FL and her baby-like voice, silliness, and just overall being so ridiculous at some points brought this drama down for me.
While I have liked both the ML and FL in other dramas, this did not bode will with me due to how they portrayed mainly, the FL character. We seriously need to have a talk with these writers and stop making FL so baby-like even if they are playing young, so unnecessary.
Please put the ML in better dramas to showcase his talents, can we say like, Song of the Moon

I will reiterate once again from my prior assessment how I was so looking forward to this drama only to feel disappointed. The expectations were high for me due to the casting. The caliber of talent of the actors/actresses for this drama should have met up to their level. The writers to me were the issue with a plot that was so bland. In my opinion they did not do this cast the justice they so richly deserved and should have received. Truly a letdown, even to the ending which was just, "ok."
I cannot say it is one that I would consider to even recommend, let alone rewatch that is how disappointed I am.

The funny thing is, he acted like nothing happened and continued to call her like everything was fine. Never thinking to make the situation better, but it would never be that way until he decided to let her have a voice in the relationship, make decision together, or at least discussed them and not let his be the only voice to be heard. It again, was time to move on.
ZGD will never concede to be the person to show that he has a flaw. He saw what happened to his parents and he even said he didn't want her to leave him. Which we know he has issues from what he has seen with his parents.
I have to say, he definitely was a passion man. Those kisses and the seduction he had would pull any woman in. Now she will move on and good for her.
With regards to HZH, he should have turned down XH's father. I feel it was wrong for him to approach HZH to go to see how his daughter was doing. I felt that was so unfair of him to put him in that position but again, he could have told him respectfully, which he did state they were no longer together, that he did not wish to cross that bridge again. Sometimes you just have to shut things down.
Something must happen with the new guy that she wants to move out of the place she has in episode 15.
He then gets into a fight in episode 16 but they get closer.

First of all, the whole scene with her beating on the drum was too much. So emotional. Then everyone else coming up and beating it too. They brought me to tears.
Did you all hear the 'Dun-Dun' of the jail cell closing just like we were on an episode of Law and Order when the trial began. Folks were going to go down hard! I was just looking for Sam Waterson to come in and do the final smackdown.
JL said that story today. Yes, she did. Gurl, was fire!!! We had the folks from the town give their deal, then we had the guys who work for JL's daddy say if they were lying annihilate their clan. Say what? They all were not playing. Do you hear me? Annihilate. Wow.
Did you all notice when the mother and the little girl were leaving after they talked, the look the little girl gave when she was walking out. That backward glance. I was wondering what that look she gave was about and who she was looking at. Did she recognize someone?
The killer for me, and I don't know how you couldn't feel for her, when the emperor told them to bring in her dad. He broke me down. It was so sad to see how they took a good man and brought him to that mental state of mind.
How ya like me now? Yep, XH was on that. As soon as he heard that was SYR's father-in-law, he threw that whole framing thing out there. He is so on it. Love me some XH.
But here comes, the wind blowing from the west bringing in the evil Princess W aka Regina. She tells everyone that she made a fool out of the emperor because she looks like SYR's ex-wife. Working my nerves with her "Baby Jane" lipstick. Between her and JSR, I don't know who makes me madder, oh and now we have consort that will be added to this trio of evil.
Did you see how stupid SYR looked when his father-in-law wasn't having none of him acting like he was so concerned. I know the man may seem like his mental state is rocked but he still knows faces. He knows what he did. Love me some YSJ who stepped in and handled that situation.
I still would love to know why SYR aka (Pussy Whipped) is with the Princess, what gives with that.
And the emperor, he was not having any of their crazy. Smackdowns were on! Yes, love seeing him and XH working together. I have to say the emperor is nice looking too, especially when he smiles.
I still say the XH knew about her, and he moved her body from that grave. I don't know why. But she asks him to go find the body to prove that she is JL. I think she gets away with it according to how it looks in the previews.

Well, I stick to what I said earlier. The FL and her baby-like voice, silliness, and just overall being so ridiculous at some points brought this drama down for me.
While I have liked both the ML and FL in other dramas, this did not bode will with me due to how they portrayed mainly, the FL character. We seriously need to have a talk with these writers and stop making FL so baby-like even if they are playing young, so unnecessary.
Please put the ML in better dramas to showcase his talents, can we say like, Song of the Moon
He snatched that phone and deleted everything related to her. Then he said, "She said she blocked you. So, do not ever used your rude eyes and foul mouth to look or speak to her."
Then SGS was wrong with regards to the dumbbells she did not pack that box right and HZH was totally right.
I just see we are coming to the end of ZGD's time. But HZH does reach out to ZGD to get them together again. She is getting ready to meet her husband.

I will reiterate once again from my prior assessment how I was so looking forward to this drama only to feel disappointed. The expectations were high for me due to the casting. The caliber of talent of the actors/actresses for this drama should have met up to their level. The writers to me were the issue with a plot that was so bland. In my opinion they did not do this cast the justice they so richly deserved and should have received. Truly a letdown, even to the ending which was just, "ok."
I cannot say it is one that I would consider to even recommend, let alone rewatch that is how disappointed I am.
Can we talk about XH for a minute please? That man is all that when he is working that fan with his Captain American throwing self. And then his two sidekicks coming in all bad ass. Yes, that fight was all that! But you know, he had to get injured right? Oh, and she did too. But we had to have him take his shirt off to get bandaged by the lake. Yeah, we aren't complaining. With his slow talk and panther-like walk. Yes, loving me some XH!!!
But did LJ's daddy beat him with that rod didn't he. And they add more sticks to his back. Dang! I can't stand Chancellor Li with his sneaky self. Put the pressure on JL's daddy who is a weak link because he listens to that snake of a wife, JSR. I can't wait for her to get a major smackdown.
I believe in episode 23 Princess W tells JL's identity. She gets thrown in jail too.

1. LTJ rolling up in and taking over the unit. Does he really think they will tell him anything. So annoying.
2. PJU that is one psychopath. The attitude when he went into the station, oh let alone when he was at the club. I wish he would get hit by a car. Nothing he does will change what he has done. His commissioner father, he's a piece of work too. Teaching his kid absolutely nothing but enabling him. Can't wait until he gets his and the commissioner too.
