I really appreciate the subtle acting of the leads, and the micro expressions from Seo Hyun Jin. Notice how Young Do’s voice faltered desperately when usually he’s so calm and measured.
Beautiful episode, warm and healing. And even though this drama has a trope about childhood connection, I really don’t mind at all because it’s done so tastefully. Kim Dong Wook and Seo Hyun Jin are a perfect pair. Their acting complements each other.
Episode 6 is so beautiful albeit a bit painful for me because it’s too close to reality. The scene with the Mum whose baby was diagnosed with a congenital disorder reminds me of my own experience with my baby. So yeah I know her feelings. And all the stories about all the interns and fellows show us that it takes years of hard work to be a good doctor and surgeon. Sadly this past year we have lost hundreds or thousands of medical experts and health workers in their battle against the pandemic. RIP for all of them.
I have only watched 4 dramas from your list here. And among them my favorite is the classic ‘It’s Okay That’s Love’. Thank you for including that drama. And can you give the link to the Part 1 article? Thanks
Here we have 16 years old boys who are very mature in confessing their feelings. While in other dramas there are men in their 30s and 40s who are awkward and having troubles in communication.
I actually know a group of real life ‘Hospital Playlist doctors’. I was friends with them in high school, they already formed a band at that time. Then they went to the same medical school and graduated together. They all now are brilliant doctors/surgeons in their respective specialized fields and they still perform with their band from time to time in special events. And no one is married to each other in their circle, lol. The lead female vocalist is more like Jeon Mido in real life with high range voice. And the keyboardist, just like Suk Hyung, is also a famous gynaecologist. He owns a fertility clinic.
The scheming way Ikjun is looking at Min Ha-Suk Hyung during the tteokbokki lunch: “there’s something between you two, let’s see if I can get you to be together”, lol. And the way he rushed to see Song Hwa tells us that he’d drop anything to be with her.
