What you liked about the first season will really determine whether or not you’ll enjoy this season. If your favorite part was the games then you’ll definitely dislike this season. However if you enjoyed the story/characters in the first season while you might not like them more than the first season the second season would still be enjoyable for you. Because season 2 and 3 were written as essentially one big season that explains why the build up of these new characters has taken so long and why it took us like 3 episodes for the games to actually start. However there were definitely some stand out gems of characters this season. The main characters that stood out to me this season were the trans woman Hyun Ju and the mother and son duo (honorable mention -Thanos he was hilarious)
For me, I don’t HATE him, but I dislike him. He’s okay and they’re cute together, but he went into it KNOWINGLY…
We literally do not know the real reason why the Captain is going after Mother and her hit men tho? I actually don’t believe this is as simple as “he’s just doing his job” but I digress…Also the Captain told him to get close to Bison so that’s what he did which made accessing information a lot easier. So again let me reiterate since you keep thinking Kant did all of this to simply clean his record: he was forced to become a police informant so that his record could stay clean and he could PROVIDE FOR HIS BROTHER. Between providing for my family and protecting a literal stranger I’m choosing my family. I’ve also said I completely agree when it comes to Kant getting Style involved without telling him everything bc it’s fucked up but that’s the only valid complaint I’ve seen so far when it comes to why certain ppl hate Kant’s character. I’ve seen ppl say they hate Kant bc he’s lied to Bison and essentially is playing with his feelings but Kant definitely has feelings for Bison so I don’t get what this point means. To an extent everyone on this show has lied to each other and both Kant and Style have manipulated and deceived Bison and Fadel to get close to them for one reason or another.
Just because he doesn't have a choice or feel like he does not have one, it doesn't mean that his behavior is…
Your point literally explains why Kant isn’t a bad guy but instead is morally gray as are all the other main characters of this show. I actually don’t get what you mean when you say “He is deliberately manipulating, laying and playing with Bison's feelings and wellbeing” so that makes Kant a bad person when Style literally did the same thing? Oh so bc Style didn’t know Fadel was a hit man that makes it any better? Sure Kant deliberately got close to Bison as an informant but Style essentially did the same thing to Fadel bc he thought it would be funny and bc he would get Kant’s car if he completed the mission. I don’t think we are supposed to empathize more with one or the other but to see that all of them are in the positions they are in not bc they want to be. Kant was forced to become an informant by the Captain, Bison and Fadel are being forced by Mother to continue doing these hits on ppl even though they want to live normal lives and Style well his friend brought him into this mess and he’s in too deep now. Which again in my opinion is the only valid reason for why ppl are mad at Kant. Also Kant’s feeling for Bison are real so this is a situation that will be heartbreaking for him as well. All 4 main characters at some point in this series will have their heart broken bc like I’ve been saying they have all been forced into the positions they are in now.
For me, I don’t HATE him, but I dislike him. He’s okay and they’re cute together, but he went into it KNOWINGLY…
Okay but this literally makes it sound like you think Kant actually had any choice in becoming a police informant when he quite literally did not have any say in the matter. At the end of the day he was forced to do a job so that he could properly provide for his brother. I think a lot of ppl forget about this point. The Captain literally said he would unclear Kant’s record which would make it harder to take care of his brother. A criminal record would definitely fuck over what Kant had built thus far which is probably why Kant did a previous job for the Captain before. At the end of the day when Kant started this job he barely knew Bison and so he owed him nothing. It just so happened that Bison was a great person and so Kant got emotionally invested in their relationship along with Bison. Kant is definitely a victim here too when it comes to being forced in a position he didn’t want to be in in the first place by the Captain. That’s the actual person ppl should be mad at here. Does Kant want Bison and Fadel to be arrested? If he actually had a say he definitely wouldn’t want that to happen but what can you do? 🥴
Okay all Kant haters to the front ! I’ve seen many ppl who actually hate Kant l I guess when mentioning how he didn’t tell Style the full story regarding Fadel I can see how that pissed ppl off but in my opinion that’s the only thing he really did wrong here. To be fair since the beginning he didn’t really owe Bison or Fadel anything. All he wanted was his record cleared so that he could continue providing for his little brother. Mind you he was THREATENED by the Captain that if he didn’t help him he would unclear his car theft record and fuck everything up for him. What would you do in that situation? My question is what exactly makes you hate his character bc this it actually very confusing to me which looking at this show as a whole. 🤔
He did start if with impure intentions, though. And now he knows about Kant's deal, so by keeping quiet he is…
Sorry I don’t agree. He didn’t just do it for the car. He did it bc at the time he simply didn’t like Fadel/thought Fadel was too full of himself and wanted to hurt his ego and knock him down a peg. It was to help Kant but also he thought it would be funny. Style is definitely the most innocent party here but it’s also true he didn’t warn Fadel either which makes him an accomplice.
I thought about this a lot and I don’t like Ryeoun being in this as his character. He doesn’t suit the character…
I don’t agree with that sediment about Ryeoun actually. He’s pretty big and I don’t just mean tall and because of that I don’t think it’ll be hard for the directors to make him give off strong/masculine vibes
I was planning to check this one out, and I still will but the comments are so negative. I don’t mind romance…
I think I would be fine with the romance if it wasn’t a love triangle especially between friends and especially love triangles that ruin friendships I hate storylines like that.
I hope there aren't any actual gay scenes (praying) I've wanted to see Jong Seo in a romance drama for a long…
This comment is kinda odd considering the main romance aspect of the show are between a straight couple (yes Jong Seo is the FML) and if you read the synopsis you would know that. This comment screams homophobia
Okay so I recently watched a YT video that basically explained in detail BeomSeok’s charter and everything leading up to what he ultimately does to his friends which confirmed everything that I believed about him and his character arc (he’s one of my fave characters in the whole show bc of how complex he is) To be honest I think the reason why he sent all of his anger Suho’s way wasn’t really out of jealousy (the trigger of being left out was also a reason he acted the way he did) that was an excuse. I think he felt betrayed by Suho. The way Suho acted in the later half of the season probably triggered BeomSeok ALOT. Near the end of episode 4 BeomSeok gets told that Sieun and Suho aren’t his actual friends but instead because they are strong and he is weak he is instead basically their minion. I think this plus Suho unknowingly doing triggering things (telling him what to do, unintentionally leaving him out of meet ups and conversations, and putting his arm around his neck) sets him off. Suho doesn’t quite understand why BeomSeok is acting out which leads to an even bigger misunderstanding. Sieun on the other hand kinda gets a sense that theirs something going on and constantly reaches out to BumSeok. This plus the actions of Suho that triggered BumSeok leads him to believe that Suho never considered him a friend which is why he gets so mad at him. He feels betrayed/rejected. Sieun on the other hand offered him an olive branch numerous times which is why none of his anger really gets directed at him.
What I hadn’t noticed until I watched that YT video was the way BeomSeok’s style started to change after his fight with Suho in episode 5. Before then he would wear his glasses and light colors (representing the soft spoken, ride or die friend we knew and loved him to be.) However after their right he stops wearing his glasses and wears darker tones. This is a BeomSeok that is in a dark place. Kinda like he’s not his usual in these last few episodes. Interestingly enough the last shot we see of BeomSeok in the airport he’s in lighter clothes again. Sort of like he wants to become his older self again.
The writers did such a good job turning BeomSeok into a complex character who I just cannot for the life of me hate (might be because I study psychology and I believe that in a lot of cases there are there are reasons why ppl behave the way they do as humans aren’t one dimensional). Especially because in the WEBTOON he was such a fucking LOSER.
Consider me a hater, but i think Anh soo ho deserved that ending lol.
Idk why this comment is so funny to me. Usually ppl say something like this about BeomSeok (a character who I low key liked btw bc of his complexity 😂)
Idk seems to me that you took a harmless comment and made it into a big deal. Watching this show like it is a BL would actually be quite easy to accomplish when I think about it. If you take the mind games HDY is playing with SDS as a toxic love story to keep him from leaving lol
I get Nozami likes him I really do but I need her to free herself form that man so she can get the female lead role she wants so bad. I legit called this would happen after he picked her for a second time ep 2. From the first audition I could tell that he was kinda behind on his acting chops compared to the rest of the guys and needs more work. This is like the second or third time they have failed bc of him AND not to mention the teaser for next week shows him having a change of heart 😭
