Yu Wen Yue isnt that much older than Yan Xun in the novel or show. They are meant to be around the same age, basically young teenager/adults. In the show Yu Wen Yue just took over the family business when his granddad got poisoned. Chu Qiao is a lot younger than all of them. She is supposedly to be a teen that just hit puberty in the novel.

Yan Xun ends up alone in his castle of darkness with a bunch political marriage concubines that he never cares about. Yeah you remember all those weird clan leaders and rich merchants that he either bullied or killed during the last few episodes, he marries their daughters

Please name the actress you are thinking of because most of the girls are picked by talent agencies for their pretty faces and bodies.
