looking at the so so ratings and watching the trailers. this didn’t look very interesting but I was doing housework and left this running on Viki and ended up binging the series. oddly entertaining. and I found the characters interesting.

my advice is don’t let the other comments deter you from checking it out. you’ll know within the first 4 eps if you like it or not.

2 random disciples execute some petty vandalism (throwing explosive lotus seeds at TianCi’s place) and get expelled forever. snow goddess repeatedly tries to kill/harm a true god: demotion and still gets to basically live another 1000 years.

crazy fox lies to prince and tries to harm upper god. gets demoted to guard some lower realm area. but still gets ti live for years more.

wu huan pretty much the worse person to live: gets to live forever 🤦🏻‍♀️

I read on fb that you have to watch ancient love poetry before watching this series. is it true? is this the sequel?

I’m on ep 6 and can’t really get into it. I find the FL annoying and the story doesn’t really seem to be going anywhere. does it get better at some point?

TSJ definitely knows. he suspected it the first time he met FFB. but CX has no clue, I don’t even think CX knew until FFB took XY from her wedding.

XY mom agreed to go to war if the emperor promised the throne to CX. but he wasn’t going to give it to him until he was ready but the plan was that CX was always going to get it.

the saddest part for me was that both emperors intended to give him their thrones so he really didn’t need to plot and connive to that point.

you can basically say that all 3 ML have died or almost died because of CX 😝

CX becomes the emperor. XY leaves with their grandfather.

TSH put her up to it. so she is trying to ruin TSJ life out of love for TSH
