i don't know why i can't start to watch it, both main actors are my faves but i feel it isn't much interesting...…
I also felt the same way at first, but with no doubt it s one of the best. Even if it bores you at first, keep watching, you'll definitely not regret it.
This drama definitely deserves a 10, especially for the adorable duo fight scene in the final episode. It was epic, seriously amazing... like, wow. Iāve always wanted to see a female lead in a historical drama who could stand her ground, be strong, and fight like that. These two have one of the healthiest and most balanced relationships in all of C-dramas. Theyāre equals in almost everything, and watching them fight and scheme together was beyond satisfying. It was both beautiful and adorable! Absolutely loved this drama! Can someone recommend dramas with female leads who can also fight like her?
Huge shoutout to the screenwriters! Finally, a xianxia with the perfect ending, seriously. Big thanks to the creators of this incredible cdrama. Itās forever going to have a special place in my heart. From the very first episode, I was hookedāthe OST was so beautifully crafted, and the visuals were stunning. The food ASMR, the rain scenes, everything was just *chef's kiss*. And then the costumes and makeup! The work they did, especially with the female lead's outfits, was just breathtaking. The entire drama felt like an art masterpiece to me. I absolutely loved it.
And wow, the actors! They were phenomenal, especially the main leads. The moment when ML died, their sorrow written on their face and heartache were so palpable, it felt real. Their performances brought so much emotion and depth, I was completely drawn in.
There were so many funny moments too, and it wasnāt overloaded with angstājust the right amount. It had a perfect balance of everything, which is exactly why it hit the sweet spot for me. The story, the fights, and THAT ending? Hands down the best happy ending Iāve ever seen in a xianxia. How am I supposed to watch another one and feel like this after this?!
im on ep 4 but im really getting bored to death, when does it get interesting? every1 keeps saying its so good…
Trust me, it gets so much better! I put it on hold for a while too, but recently decided to give it another shot (I stopped at episode 12 initially). From episode 15 onward, the entire drama had me hooked, right up to the final scene, which was absolutely beautiful. I honestly didnāt expect to love it as much as I do now. Itās definitely earned a special place in my heart. The ending alone is so unexpected (in the best possible way)
Iām traveling, so Iām just going to answer one part of your question. The tree isnāt a pear tree, but Wintersweet…
Wow, thank you so much for taking the time to write out such a detailed and insightful explanation, especially when it's so late for you! I really appreciate it. The mirroring in the storytelling is incredibleāit's something I hadn't even considered before.
I was also thinking about the pendant as a hint that the ending wasn't just a dream. The fact that they showed it felt like a deliberate choice to signal that this moment was real and not just in her head.
It all makes a lot more sense to me now tooādefinitely a unique and refreshing ending! I totally get why some people might feel itās "sad" or not as satisfying because weāre so used to those classic, clear-cut happy endings where the leads reunite with a kiss, hug, or at least a face-to-face moment where theyāre smiling at each other. Thatās what weāve come to expect, so when a show does something different, it can be jarring.

Thanks for replying! It amazes me how much detail went even into those tree scenes depicting it's growth timeline which is super interestingāI hadnāt payed attention to that detail before. It really adds another layer of meaning to the ending. Looking forward to your longer response when you have time. Safe travels!
Hi Deni, you have a great opinion, the final scene left everyone kind of stunned and the reaction was so strong…
Thanks so much for the detailed explanation! It really helped me see the ending in a new light. Itās so intricate and poeticāI never realized how much thought was behind it. Your analysis really ties everything together. Appreciate it!
Could someone please explain the symbolism of the ending? I understand it's meant to be a happy conclusion, but it had a dreamlike quality, almost as if it were an open ending. I definitely don't think it is a sad one of course. While the special episode does confirm a happy resolution though, it feels somewhat disconnected from the original ending, as if something doesnāt quite align, maybe cause it's rushed. I'm also curiousāhas anyone figured out how many years are supposed to have passed by the end of the last scene?
I honestly have no idea why this one's rating is not at least an 8.5 because for me at least it was a very beautiful and realistic cdrama. Maybe because it's not solely focused on romance, but also on people, on life's ups and downs, the sacrifice of real life heroes like firefighters and doctors. If you love dramas that are a lot more than just romance, than this one's for you. Such a beautiful watch.

But honestly, thatās what makes this ending so special. It didnāt just follow the usual tropes; it brought something new to the table, something that stands out and makes the show memorable. Itās funny, thoughāsome of the same people who wanted more out of the ending are often the ones asking for something different from the usual clichĆ©s. I guess innovation takes some getting used to, but I think itās what makes the showās ending so beautiful and unique. We all kind of needed that refreshment, right? š
