I don't know- I am hoping so, you see I didn't read the whole manga but only just read the summaries of each volume except vol 8 which is not updated, that is provided with them. like you, I am hoping they figure out how to be together through all the nuances that come with their particular kind of characters. I just don't want a sad or open ending with this one, so bad. They should be together Hongyo and Terada.

It is so clear from his explanation of his feelings from high school, how much he cherishes her.

also, in his books, it writes "It is the story of me, the protagonist, and She, the immortal" -it has got to be about his encounter with Terada in high school, how he feels about it and her, that itself says that she is his most treasured and how much in high regard he places her, pretty much irreplaceable to him. almost on a pedestal, who is unnaccessible to him but to whom he is grateful?? does he wonder if he hurt her or gave her pain in some way(when he expresses how he wanted to apologize but didn't so as to not lessen the importance of their experience).. and whom he will keep on loving( even if at that time she was not in his life!?-when he was writing the manga)

at this point I am pretty upset at Terada, her mistake in adolescence was not enough?? for her still to be so.. distracted even now?!this whole thing is happening to her and Hongyo becoz she completely ignored and avoided him then, when they should have faced it and talked about it clearly but ok..I understand her!! I understand her frustration with not wanting to deal with her feelings or Hongyo, when he is not stating clearly what's on his mind, when to her her own feelings are so intense- but this is basically her just running away, ( she never gave him an opportunity to figure out their feelings in high school, which was probably his most significantly intense feeling of expressing himself ever, so he is shutting down now- as he says '.. wakata!' when says she will stop liking him) ....this would have still been ok in some sense- but this is not just about her! Just because Hongyo doesn't say what's on his mind and heart..

my heart hurts for Hongyo who is unable to express his most innermost and important feelings..

This guy needs someone who is brave enough to to take the effort to understand him, some one like Akari-, because he is probably very much very worth it all. But for him it's only Terada, whether with love, or significance, or even sexually.lolz
It is For him, and him alone that I am still on team Hongyo and Terada, Terada has just become a variable character for me, no matter how kind she is.

I like Akari's character more and more, honest, impartial, positive, she places things in the right perspective after thoroughly and reasoningly looking through them ..

indeed..that's what I am saying. he does have that vibe about him, he could go any way, such that I can't figure him out yet -Saya, but whichever he does he will be fearsome...and then Eunseom too, the way he enjoys certain things a little too much, -that, going by his simplicity he shouldn't.. you know?? ..
although, I am glad the characters are mysterious and not completely clear cut right now..

@dearD4NI and now, there are two versions of him:
the pretty, long haired, well-tailored, aristocratic, flower boy
( & probably calculative) version;
and the wild with the wind, rough and untamed, savagely barbaric, fierce (& instinctual) version,
and both are innocent, smart, sharp, severely handsome, and seriously Dangerous,
these brothers are deeply weirdly connected to each other in every way, they are fast learners, intuitive, probably have photographic memory and probably enjoy strategizing more than they should, sweet-hearted??, both as bad-ass as they can be- in their own individual ways, they are beautiful at heart but have an almost malevolent vindictive side hidden in them-the irony being that this is a good thing, they are the saviors sent by mother nature against the unrestrained & voluminously ambitious sarams, and they will bring all the good chaos in, like a tumultuous hurricane onto Arthdal; TanYa being their primordial companion, and power, in crime and in blessing.
and, Tagon and Taelha, will fight on the side of sarams, whom they don't even belong to, if not for their ambitions,
and to prove themselves, against the background their pain and agony of being used and abused, distrusted and unrewarded, by their own.(-and in doing so will they perhaps be betraying their own selves?! )
then, what will bring the balance, for it must be brought.

the smallest things make us happy don't they..LOL
on a serious note, I am also totally excited to see the story progression

let's see where this goes, here I am hoping hopelessly for a happy sweet ending..

but then ..so is Araman / Eunseom!! I can't wait to see how
Saya unfolds either! Oh my ..that was Gorgeous!
the whole last five minutes, along with the previews, and back stories..wow, and I am hooked again! that was beautiful & stunning

that is why I can't wait to watch happens next ..one more reason, or rather the most important reason :)
for the next season
