But U Jin is collaborating with his mother to take over the company
*Bio Mom* I think you mean her mom not the Bio one. I understand your frustrations. Even I was seriously annoyed at her stubbornness. But thinking about it practically, if we were in Eun Oh's situation, we'd be momentarily confused too. Anyway, the preview to ep 31 looks promising. Seems she has come back to her senses.
She won't win all though. Evil bio mom's goal includes U Jin taking over the company and pushing Seong Jae out.…
That's true regarding her ultimate goal to make U Jin Chairman of Shoe Joy. Ofc, evil never wins in dramas. I am curious to see if Eun Oh will escape or sacrifice. Let's see
But U Jin is collaborating with his mother to take over the company
I have a lot of doubts - Bio Mom has never mentioned, even in the monologue/ mind voice, about her knowledge of the friendship between Eun Oh and U Jin. Otherwise definitely her mind voice would've been like - 'Eun-Oh ya, can you bear to see your best friend die, when you could have saved him with your liver?'
She could've also 'slipped' up about U Jin 'accidentally', so Eun Oh knows the liver is for U Jin who she would never refuse.
Bio Mom would've also passed this information to Good Mom - that Eun Oh and U Jin, and that Eun Oh would never refuse her friend.
So all this put together makes me think that this missing piece of information about their friendship, would turn disadvantageous for the bio mom.
So what if Eun Oh finds out that she was indeed abandoned? So what if she finds out her evil bio mom staged everything? The biggest challenge would be Eun Oh finding out that her twin brother is none other than her best friend 'U Jin'!
Though she might cut off her bio mom, she would not be able to deny U Jin. In this case it would be a win situation for her bio mom. Not like her bio mom ever cared for Eun Oh anyway.
So, unless U Jin is innocent, and refuses to accept Eun Oh as a donor or something else happens, the bio mom will succeed.
Yeong Ra has stepped up to investigate her mom's whereabouts. Will we be able to see anything from Seong Jae's side? He could be pivotal in this matter as he knows all three of them - Eun Oh, his step mom and U Jin! But man is in his own dreamland. Doesn't even know about what's happening to Yeong Ra, doesn't even care. Lol!
But U Jin is collaborating with his mother to take over the company
U Jin is afraid of death and desperately wants to live. He is also aware of his mother's doings, though he doesn't know the donor is Eun Oh or how his mother could have secured this donation. It does make me question if U Jin is innocent in this matter. Was his friendship with Euh Oh true or planned?
The two characters that I absolutely love, admire and respect are Wei Jun and Chu Lin Yang! (Though Wei Jun lasted only for the first 2 or 3 episodes). Their command and presence is unmatched! True Gentlemen ^^
I missed that they were friends. do you know what episode they shared that?
Or maybe Seong Hui had not yet identified Eun Oh at that time. Remember she found Eun Oh only at the beginning of this series and Eun Oh was already an adult and had started her interior designing profession.
This is hard. Even if Eun Oh suspects her birth mother of ill intentions, if she knows that her twin is none other than U Jin, she will try to do whatever it takes for his sake. They are bffs after all! Unless he is onboard with his mother's devious schemes, which I hope not. He doesn't seem to be aware of who his donor would be.
I just have one question.
Why did U Jin not tell Eun Oh that he is back in the country? Was it for her sake? Did he not want her to know of his illness? They were bffs and yet she did not know about his illness at all throughout school. The birth mother said he was a sick child. Meaning sick since childhood. Then how come Eun Oh did not know about this during school. Did his condition worsen at some later point?
If U Jin is innocent, then the reason why he couldn't tell Eun Oh about being back in Korea could be these - 1. He doesn't want her to know about his illness - she would worry a lot, or perhaps he could find a donor and recover too. 2. His mother - his mother wouldn't like him to befriend people from lower status. If Eun Oh knows, then she would be curious - the reason he's back, where he lives and what he does. But his mother has made all of this a secret right. So he won't be able to afford his friend crossing his mother and getting hurt.
I only hope U Jin is innocent in this matter and that his friendship with Euh Oh is 100% true.
There are many reasons why I like this drama. Ofc, sometimes the story did not go as we expected, so there were disappointments. But, overall the vibe of the drama is really good. Euh Oh's birth mother is needed to give some tension right? haha, so that part is needed too.
The ambitions of every character is really worth noticing. 1. Eun Oh and her dream of interior designing. 2. Ji Hyeok is full of fire. Congratulations he found a good Chairman and a good company and faced the head on. 3. Seong Jae is full of fire as well. Congratulations to him becoming the VP, gaining the trust of his father (and throwing a heap of coal on his step mama's head lol). 4. Ji Wan on using his golden physical strength and getting settled in a chic and desired profession - Chief Body Guard. Fighting! [Also, appreciate his great support to Yeong Ra, bringing her out of her shell, seeing her potential, encouraging, being a great anchor for her. He is such a sweetheart!] 5. Yeong Ra on realizing from Ji Wan, her potential in webtoons. Thanks to her trusting Ji Wan, gurl is glowing while growing. 6. Subin is full of spirit. Finally gurl has found her thing in content creation. She is her own CEO too. Proud of her character development! 7. Ji Hyeok's father, even after retirement, has not lost his spirit and will power. He is a hard working man, always rising above criticisms and societal pressure. Fighting! 8. Grandmom and Grandpop for finding something fun to do together, not letting age demotivate or keep them in low spirits. Fighting! 9. Ohh how could I miss Gang O! A rising star, pushing his mom out of her comfort zone with the family's secret recipe. Kuddos to his massive character development! 10. Of Ji Hyeok's Mom, doing her best to support her family, willing to do anything though she was a dignified teacher once. Respect!
The passion that each of these characters show towards their profession/ work is commendable!!!
I'm glad how all the characters are now enjoying happy vibes. Father-son understanding each other, being proud of and supporting one another. Grandpop is going to the US! Eun Oh-Ji Hyeok's bad blood is calmed down. We will get to see more of their happy times even if it takes time to heal her wound. Can't wait to find out how they would react when Seong Jae and Eun Oh find out their relation, excited and scared for Eun Oh and her twin brother U Jin's reunion.
I'm enjoying the show as is. I have no complaints. Love everyone's passion in their respective careers. I also love how the drama shows interesting details of their careers (the research is appreciated). I do not recall seeing that in any other drama.
Every weekend I wait eagerly for the drama to air and watch it on time. If I had complaints, why would I do that? Haha! I'd rate this show at least 9.5/10. I just love it!!
I like the way his father has grown. For a while, his father's pride had prevented him from providing true guidance…
They were both stubborn. They cared but their pride did not allow them to be honest with each other. Through circumstances, they are now coming to know about one another's true care behind the mask.
For Ji Hyeok, he understands that his father did care for him, that he understood his heart when he ran away. Also, after his father came to know about the possible buyout failure, he immediately protected his son from his family's worries and said not to say anything. So everyone treated him normally, he was able to focus on his father's wisdom (meeting the Chairman).
As for the Father, he understands that his son worries and cares about him. The shoes were a perfect example.
JH & His Father—From Fear to FoundationJH’s father spent decades in the corporate world, gathering knowledge…
I believe we'll see the father-son dynamics will change for the better. One has experience, the other has courage. Together they will form a great alliance, a comradeship - trusting and relying on each other. This is what I expect to see, the development towards this sort of bond, in the coming episodes or before the drama concludes.
I love Ji Hyeok's father. He cares about his son. In the father-son dynamics, obviously both care for each other. More than anyone can understand. I love how the father understands his son when he failed to buyout AP and is provoking him on purpose (to reach the Chairman) so that his son wouldn't have regrets even if it fails in the end. He is making his son to be stronger by pushing through the difficulties (move the Chairman with your sincerity; Money is not everything. There is a human who operates the money. Money has value only if it's in the right hands). Not stopping just cos of money politics but doing all he can. The father gave his son the solution without saying it so.
No matter what anyone says, I just simply love this drama. I'm super addicted to it. I love the cast. I'm curious to know how the story is going to unfold in the future. I'm watching episode 17. I love Victoria Song, Ding Yuxi, Joe Chen, and every single actor and actress (the sisters-in-law, the friends, assistants, etc., etc.) I'm just so in love with the drama! ♡♥︎❤︎𖹭♡♥︎❤︎𖹭♡♥︎❤︎𖹭
Oh btw, I don't care if the leads don't have the romantic spark YET. I just love their comradeship!! ♡♥︎❤︎𖹭♡♥︎❤︎𖹭♡♥︎❤︎𖹭
Feel the same energy. So far, I honestly think he is out of her league ( or world, if it is makes more sense).
Oh yess.. agreed about the ML' FL dynamics going forward.. also double yes to the FL's brothers story.. he is a really sensible and wise character.. the girl (Tuan Tuan?) also matches this personality.. 😊
Feel the same energy. So far, I honestly think he is out of her league ( or world, if it is makes more sense).
Aahhh that's a really valid point. Completely agree with you.
So this is my thought. So far, The ML has been babied by his father, mother and elder brothers. So, he is less experienced in life and politics. Ofc, he is a skilled soldier but less experienced in other aspects. Could be that he was always protected by his family. I'm not saying he is irresponsible. Absolutely not. But now that he is the sole heir of the Wei family, I believe this experience of life will push him to grow up - be it strategy, maturity, politics or love. This is what I'm hoping to see as the episodes proceed.
Thank you for pointing out about the FL. Maybe I tried to match her with the ML' and concluded that age barrier could a reason, which is not. It's about their synergy.
Hmm alright the drama has ended. Disappointing. Amazing cast entirely but wasted potential. ML is a bit of a downer. Either his character wasn't given importance or the actor still needs to learn a lot. JYB is an amazing actress, they literally wasted her potential. The story was super sloppy. Villain actress was fantastic. Her story, her delivery wow!! Ending was rushed. Given how Lee Don did a sloppy job keeping Bu Se Mi hidden in Muchang, he shouldn't even be hired for that reason lol. I'm not complaining about his capabilities, just this reason is a bad one lol, given Ms. Incognito was anything but incognito lol.
Hmm.. are they trying to promote the cameo actress? She is currently acting in 'My Golden Days' (Subin), and she made a cameo appearance here as well?
Also, there is this thing I noticed. JYB keeps acting with casts from her other dramas. For example, Yang Kyung Won (Gil Ho Se) from 'Vincenzo', Moon Sung Keun (Chairman) and Seo Hyeon Woo (Lee Don) from 'Our Movie'. Not sure, but this is the first time, I observe something like this.
Alright, coming back to the drama, the entire cast was amazing as I mentioned in the beginning. Great actors, so watched for them. The story itself is a major plot failure. So, do I dislike this drama? Regrets? None at all. Otherwise, I wouldn't have finished it.
Let's not blame the actors. The actors (entire actors) carried the drama well. The script was bad. I feel so bad, sorry I keep repeating this, for the actors. Such talents they have wasted.
Anyway, let's be happy with Muchang village, the strawberry farm and the sea, which were pleasant to the eyes.
Feel the same energy. So far, I honestly think he is out of her league ( or world, if it is makes more sense).
Haha.. are you a Ding Yu Xi fan? Tbh, I like the cast individually, no complaints. In my eyes, the FL perfectly suits Wei Jun. Both of them are mature. Also their real ages match. Ofc, there are plenty dramas where older FLs nicely pull off the chemistry well with their MLs.
In this drama, there could be few reasons why we don't see the romantic chemistry yet - one is FL grew up in the borders where there was war. Even Wei Jun calls her courage 'equal to a man'. So, the FL is supposed to be less feminine as compared to the women who grew up in their home studying literature, arts, music, cooking, etc. She is also totally inexperienced in love, although she had once followed Gu. She has not grown any feelings for the ML. Perhaps still sees him as a younger guy. I think it's precisely because of these reasons, I have no regrets in any of the episodes. I have enjoyed it as much as any other dramas. I'm watching ep 11.. waiting to see how their dynamics will change in the future episodes.
