Out of all the female participants, only HJ and YY gave their exes who they wanted for their date. Both of these girls decided based on who their exes sent their message to. We know SY had good dates with JH. Even tho he is currently leaning more towards getting back with his ex, they can't choose their ex for this date so JH is the best choice I think. I hope Jae Hyeong wasn't expecting Ji Hyeon. But even then, I believe YY chose HJ cos she knows that he texted HJ, and believed he was curious about her. How sweet of these girls! :))

I agree with you. If you remember the conversation that HJ had with SY, she told him clearly that in the ex meeting, she had no regrets towards BH and she had no desire at all to get together with him.

It's the same for MK as well. She decided to find a new guy but now she wants her ex back. That's okay. They face their ex, remember their past, old feelings do occupy the mind and so the heart sways. That's completely normal. After all everyone has once loved each other a lot.

HJ also mentioned that after meeting BH, she saw how he spoke to her. Basically his sweetness is what draws her to him. Its rather kind of a fantasy not reality - in the sense the reason behind their breakup despite all of this longing and feeling.

They have met each other as adults right? I'm not judging or comparing but as an objective viewer, I can't help but see that they are still the same. In a way, she is mature and he is passionate. I can still observe misunderstandings. She is conflicted. He wants her to say 'yes' or 'no'. She can't do that cos she explained clearly that it's not like she can't do without him. That's normal. His desire for a firm answer is normal as well. I feel bad for them but it's not really clear as to what exactly was the cause of their breakup. Arguments and fights as a result of misunderstanding/ lack of listening is what I see.

Again I'm absolutely not judging anyone. How much they have loved each other is very clear. BH did confirm this point - that he has misunderstood her and only thought what he wanted to think. That is exactly what I see here as well. Communication/ listening is important for them as much as anyone else.

Honestly at this point, I am unable to see that things would change even if they get back together. It's still the same now, it'll still be the same in the future if their misunderstanding/ lack of understanding continues. Again I'm not saying they should or should not choose each other.

This is truly heartbreaking that they are unable to overcome that barrier. They are stuck. I believe this could be one of the reasons why HJ said she has no regrets and BH said he wants to find someone new and, in the latest, said that it would still be the same if they got back together.

Who hasn't enjoyed their date so far? Idc about outcomes. I'm still excited and looking forward to it. I like them both and want to see how their date goes :)

Baek Hyun crying broke my heart.

It makes sense now, why he was behaving so weird and crazy all this while. He knows their relationship is doomed but he can't get over her. He is suffocated. He has been holding up so long, now he broke down.

I hope both he and HJ recover soon and move forward with healthy choices and be happy!

I noticed that too. It was disappointing. Both of them are talking the same thing over and over. Communication is their problem sadly. But from their interactions, what I understand is that she wants freedom to choose what she wants and not feel suppressed by his desire for stability. This is what I hear 'If we get back together, I may want to enjoy my freedome. I know my responsibilities. I need you to trust me.'

From WK's side, I can't see anything other than the need for stability or rather responsibility. Since she already has a stable job, he might want assurance of stability going forward as well. If she is able to give him that assurance even while pursuing her desire for variety, if she is able to clearly give him a plan, then perhaps their relationship could work. I don't know honestly at this point.

Ofc, to get to this point, they both need to understand each other's expectations of each other and respect that, apologize for the way they had handled things and then talk about their plan for their future. Clearly, they have feelings for each other. Communication, understanding and respect is key.

Actually I agree both ways. WK wanted stability. JH wanted to find her dream. It is a normal thing for both of them.
Initially i was disappointed that WK broke up with her for such a reason. At the same time, I can understand that sth more must have happened between them for him to make this kind of a choice.
I also honestly agree about JH. That is exactly why I said 'I hope Jh decides on what she wants' cos even now I find her kind enough to even talk to him and show her lingering feelings. This is why I felt that she is blocking the way. I know it is really hard to make a choice since their love was deep.
If she could not forgive him at all, that is perfectly understandable. If she forgives, that shows her kind heart. Both are absolutely okay since she has been hurt. They are both good people. It is precisely because their personalities mismatch - her looking for someone who has broad interests and him wanting stability - that I felt JY might be a perfect match for him - confident, articulate, calm and expresses her thoughts well. Ofc, there are several other aspects to consider as well when making a choice.

[Ep 16] Ehh.. Hmm I understand why Baek Hyun is frustrated. It must have been confusing for him. I do not blame Hyun Ji. They all are ex couples right? It will be confusing for everyone regarding their own feelings. Every single one of them is struggling. After all, their ex is someone they loved a lot at some point.
However, Baek Hyun always said he did not want to get back together with his ex. He said he would wish his ex well and expect her to do the same. He said it during the interviews and in public with the housemates. So, in this aspect, Hyun Ji, who was already struggling to watch Baek Hyun, understood his words and actions as if he did not ever want to get back together with her.

As viewers, we know how much Hyun Ji struggled and cared for Baek Hyun. We also know the conversations they had together. But Baek Hyun must know what he said and did as well. Despite his conflicted feelings and struggles, he chose to never show them to her or anyone. He did not want anyone to find out that he cared about his ex more than he wanted to. So he can't say that he became firm because she confused him. Privately, to himself it may be right. But that was not what he said - either to her or the housemates or during the interview. That is not right.

Oh I do not blame him either. He is as confused as anyone and as much hung over her as anyone on their ex. But he is denying them all. Lol. He wants to know where her heart lies. Why must he know that? Didn't he already firmly decide since the beginning that he would follow his heart? He says one thing but his heart is on sth else. I don't blame him. People can be like that. Maybe he needs her to choose him? Maybe he needs assurance from her? Or he simply wants her attention? Oh Baek Hyun, boy, what do you want really? >u<

But in all this, one thing I observed is, Hyun Ji is mature, knows what she wants. Like what SY expressed in his letter, she is so honest and innocent like a child. She goes through phases but is honest towards her own conflicted feelings and confusions. I like how well put she is with her feelings, regrets and choices. Anyway, wish them the best! Hope nobody gets hurt :)

Ahh I just finished listening to their conversation. I can't help but notice that maybe he wants lots of love from HJ. From the way he acted throughout the show so far, I think he wants HJ to make the first move, to choose him without hesitation. When he mentioned that he wants HJ to be born as him and he as her, I once again could feel his longing to be loved. But I could be wrong as well.

I just cannot understand why Won Kyu is hated? I am watching ep 16. Up until this point he has been pretty consistent. He has wanted to check his feelings towards his x and then make a choice based on his feelings. He did not get a chance. It is equally hard for him too. I know he broke up with her over a text message but I do not believe that it was that simple and that his love was insincere.

The more I observe, the more I'm convinced that he is a level headed guy and knows what he wants. I'm not blaming Ji Hyeon. I mean what can we, as viewers, know everything that happened. Even if we know the entire story, we can't understand it as we are different people altogether. So I don't judge anyone but I only hope Ji Hyeon decides on what she wants as well. It's like watching her blocking his way. She wouldn't choose him nor let him go. Ofc, isn't this natural in a relationship, especially when you like your ex a lot but also gotten hurt a lot? It's difficult to make a choice.

I hope they both, especially Ji Hyeon, can heal a bit, find peace and move foward with their decision :)

I just realized it's better not to read other viewers' comments lol. Let me say it in Yoo Shik style - 'I don't want to be biased against anyone in the show. I want to see and judge for myself'.
I'm going to watch and enjoy - and try to lower my expectations from anyone. :))

What I like about Ji Yeon is her confidence, maturity, articulation, wisdom, clever, calm. She knows what she wants and doesn't let her heart oscilate like a pendulum. I do not blame her at all for her outburst with her x. It is a very natural thing for any human who has been hurt so much. They are all as much humans as we are. I like Woo Jin as well. Yes he made mistakes in the past but I trust that he is genuine with wanting to win her back.

I loved the date JY x WK. It was so healing to watch. They both are calm. He is a bit goofy. She finds that cute. She is gentle and he can be calm around her. Just loved that part. In my head, I'm already imagining how it would be if they date/ marry for real. Just based on their date in Ep 16. Haha. They can choose whoever they want. They are both precious.

I hope whatever they chose in the end, they'll be amicable towards one another and cherish their memories for a long time.

I only wish they can heal at least a little bit during this show - facing their emotions, expressing their feelings and hurts, a little bit of growing, a little bit of maturity. That's enough.

It's okay to make mistakes. Nobody is perfect. Not the participants on the show, nor the panelists, nor the viewers and fans. We all are human and make our own mistakes as well. [Easy to point at others, difficult to follow what we preach. So let's be a little kinder] :))

Let's not forget they are in front of a camera all the time. And let's also not forget that time is limited to know a person fully.

If you think about it, it is hard to develop deeper feelings for someone in just a short span of time. Considering the kind of situation they are in, it's even more difficult. This is pure entertainment and each have their goal. And miracles like Hyungyu and Haeun do happen. So better take it with a grain of salt.

Good thinking. Actually I think there is some 'other' reason why people participate in this show. But I don't want to judge their motives. It is rather wise to just treat it as pure entertainment and not get emotional. But honestly it's hard. Haha!

oh I didn't feel anything special about her dates.. even her Japan date was so short.. the other dates like the cruise date between SY and YY, water game date between MK and WJ, amusement park date between JH and SY, Zoo date between JY and WK (this was the best) etc. stood out more.. but maybe it appeals differently to different viewers

Hmm I don't think so. I am yet to watch ep 16 but so far what I have observed, everyone has gotten their screen time. If you remember the episodes right from the beginning, you can observe that there were some participants getting screentime, at times, more than the others. And rn HJ is getting some spotlight. That's all.
