HJ did not approach BH nor SY. BH kept approaching her, asking about the ring. Not just HJ, he even went as far as to ask YS to show the ring she made. But it doesn't look like he has any hidden motives. It did not feel uncomfortable.

With SY, he was the one who kept asking to talk to her. She told him she wants to talk to YS so that he doesn't misunderstand. Even when talking to BH and SY, she was talking about YS only. She is pretty clear and has been honest with her choices from the beginning.

Her trying to fix SY's flyaways seems habitual not ill-intentioned.

Ikr! It was a little bit disappointing. Instead of doing this, they could utilize the time to show their sincerity towards the person they like. Talking about the issues and how they are willing to handle it in future is important.

At the same time, it is important for them to utilize this time to do whatever it takes to win the person of interest. So, per say, it isn't sth bad.

Sigh! Nobody knows the human heart.. it isn't always rational..

I'm still watching Ep 17 but MK is forgetting the whole picture.

She doesn't like YS getting closer to anyone else but that alone is not reason enough to get back together. Remember the advice that JH gave her? MK needs to remember the reason why they broke up in the first place and whether any changes can come in between them that can ensure the same issue will not repeat. If she can't see changes, there is no point.

Ex showing interest towards another person doesn't guarantee that they will end up together. To close one relationship and move on to a new love needs much more time than one can imagine. Not to forget, they had 7-8 years together. With YS, I see clarity. He always analyzes and is so thoughtful. He cannot be saying 'I'm not 100% sure about getting back together' without thoroughly thinking through if getting back together will solve the issue between them.

I don't blame MK at all. She has to face her feelings, face reality and sooner or someday she will understand and grow from this. Everyone is like that.

Why is everyone conflicted about episode 16? EspeciallyThe BH/ HJ talk on the balcony? I understand why BH came to find HJ to ask for an explanation. Right before the trip, HJ mustered up her courage and confessed. Maybe this confession would help her move on. BH did not respond positively to her confession. This is absolutely understandable. Both of them have memories from their past which they cherish. At the same time, they also remember the reason why they broke up. So, HJ confessing and BH getting confused in Japan is understandable. [Same dilemma with almost every participant there exept ig YN/ JaeH].

Also, from the balcony conversation, I could not see anything else other than a clear explanation from HJ. They cleared up their misunderstandings.

We all need to understand that this is a show where they put the exes together right? If it was an ordinary dating show, then the participants wouldn't be facing their ex or seeing their interactions/ interest towards the opposite genders. They wouldn't be as conflicted as they are now. But that is what this show is about. It is entertainment. Else, why would they restrict the exes from going on dates right from the beginning? They impose restriction because they want the participants to get to know others and then make a final decision.

The participants are not robots either and it is not practical to look for perfection. Everyone makes mistakes. Rather than saying they do not understand their own hearts, it is better to say that they are torn between the good and bad feelings they have towards their exes. They have shared a lot of memories together, and it is not simple to decide on the spot and to stick to it. Everyone's clock is ticking not based on their initial decision but their present situation.

Also, this is a short program with cameras, rules and restrictions. So, I don't believe they can be 100 percent themselves. There is heavy editing as well. We believe what we see, and what is see is manipulated by editing, which sometimes is dramatic. So, let's be wise and not overly invest our emotions in a show that is nothing but pure entertainment and drama. I belive everyone is doing what they need to do.

Let's also not forget that we are the observers while they are the players. We are provided with some content that the other participants do not know about/ see first hand. For example, their private conversations, emotions, feelings, dilemma. At the same time, due to editing, we have limited access to what exactlly is going on there. Many parts are cut off and the timeline isn't exactly arranged in order. If we are driven by emotions, we are just playing right into what the PD wants LOL!

The thing about JH/ YS is if he had given her a chance, things would have been better than what he has with HJ. This is just my thinking cos he was curious about her and they clicked well.

But in another aspect they are quite similar. They want the other person to show interest or lead. YS seems to text the person he spent time with on 'that' day. And JH likes YS but was a bit inconsistent with expressing then. Ofc she regretted that later. Yep, she over reads other people's actions, words, emotions. When HJ entered the house, she assumed that she was YS' ex and that YS was pretty shaken up. And so she gave up texting him on that day. Had she simply went after her feelings just like what JY/ YN is doing, things might have turned differently.

With HJ, she is interested in no one else other than YS, so she kept choosing YS irrespective of whether he chose her or not the previous day. Also she did not want to confuse BH when her feelings weren't 100% in getting back together, so she couldn't text him either.

With YS, thing is he himself admitted to MK that it was cos of her that he couldn't open his heart easily to anyone. With WK, he admitted that at first he had closed his heart to the possibility of finding new love during their short time.

He seems to be a very careful person, cautious and takes things slow. He even admitted to BH that he hadn't had a deep conversation about HJ's ex and her current stand.

Not sure how it's going to be going forward. In one of the dates (Keyword date I think), he admitted in the interview that what he felt was attraction and affection towards HJ. But still, I can't help but see it not working realistically.

I want to hear YS' thoughts on why he chose to get to know HJ more than JH. This happened right after the keyword date. He talked to both JH and HJ right? So why HJ? If it's just because of feeling excitement with her, thennn idk 😶

Hmm I can understand where you are coming from but.. in a way I beg to differ. While they were in the relationship, BH had given his all. HJ herself admitted that he liked her more than she did. HJ first started getting confused after the prelim meeting where BH spoke nicely to her. HJ is the kind of person who puts a lot of emphasis on the words and actions.

Both of them had given it their all which is why initially she said she had no regrets at all with BH (when she had a chat with SY). But this changed after her prelim meeting with BH. And the final thing was she ofc confessed that she still likes BH right before their Japan trip. But at this point, BH was already growing closer wtih YN. He can't just abandon his feelings he has for the new person just based on that one conversation. Also, BH said he is bad at multitasking meaning that he can only focus on one person. He chose YN and it is still a good choice. She makes him happy.

The thing I see common to both BH and YS relationship is while YS had a 7-8 year long relationship, BH had a 2 year deep relationship. Both are unforgettable relationships.

Whether BH develops a steady relationship with YN or not does not define his success or failure. Whatever he chooses, he gives his best. He makes a choice he won't regret even if it fails. Having a trauma is not a wrong thing. He doesn't want to hurt or get hurt. It's a normal feeling, right?

BH and HJ have strong feelings towards each other. But they still broke up over no big reason at all right? Their love is stuck at one point and keeps repeating, the reason why they kept breaking up and getting back together even during the 2 year old relationship.

Sometimes, I do wonder (based on their balcony conversation) that if they have a nice clear communication like this, won't their relationship be smoother if they choose each other? But ofc, I can't say it'll be that simple. Sometimes, ego clashes, pride clashes, misunderstandings reappear, etc. etc.. This was why I mentioned that both BH and SY miss one or the other needs of HJ.

For any lover, their expectation from their partner is to prioritize them. Both her exes miss out on this key aspect. Let's see how it goes in the upcoming episodes. But one thing has been consistent. HJ has been very very consistent and has a very clear understanding of the situation and her needs. She is also empathetic and very observant. She is also quite cautious. Let's see how the boys behave lol!

Not sure about her work. I have seen other dating shows where one of the cast members was a pilot. Forgot the name of the show. I'm not defending anyone at this point but I don't want to make any comment on what I do not know. It doesn't matter to me either.

And yes, we both agree with HJ/ YS. So far, I can only feel physical attraction. Can't feel any emotional connection or depth so far. I cannot imagine a future between them practically speaking. I can see too much potential in BH/ YN. There may even be a possibility b/w BH/ HJ or even BH/ SY tho it's slim. I cannot see her geting into a real and steady relationship with YS. It's heartbreaking (for me personally). It would be nice to see a deep conversation b/w HJ & YS. I look forward to it irrespective of what choice they make in the end.

Ahh had the same thoughts regarding BH/ YY. I was worried actually but then BH is very expressive and honest. That could keep the couple going strong if they choose each other. He would explain it well for her. This is one possibility. Otherwise, if he feels overwhelmed by the thoughts of his ex or his past or feels the need for some time, then sad.

Hmm about HJ/ BH, loved their conversation outside of her room, how they communicated each and every feeling and the reason behind their decision so far. Whether they want to get back together or not, this will greatly help clear things for them. This may help them make clearer decisions going forward without the misunderstandings and unnecessary confusions. At least it could go down a bit. Can't wait for the next episode TT

Hmm.. I understand your point.. tbh if it was my personal wish I am completely honestly of the same wishes/ thoughts as yours.. I love the dates and interactions between YS/ HJ and BH/ HJ. Both give me butterflies. From the get go I was like please please please let HJ be either with YS or BH. And of course, seeing how much BH is full of love, I wanted their pairing to work.

But when I think about how YS is curious about JH as well, I'm actually a little worried. I'm also worried that with HJ, YS feels excitement. Honestly I thought what if the excitement dies down? Oh I trust YS. He seems to be a cautious person which is good. Even if he takes things slow, he puts a lot of sincerity to it, so in this way he is admirable! I only hope the choices are made after lot of thoughts. Don't want anyone to hurt.

With BH, I'm worried about them having communication gaps and understanding gaps. He is an amazing lover except sometimes hears only what he wants to hear. But ofc, their talk was so nice. They might have cleared out a lot of misunderstandings. That was nice. But BH, as I see, hmm.. his priorities are.. not on HJ at the most important times. That's why I mentioned both BH and SY are lacking in one or the other of what HJ wants. And, objectively speaking, what HJ looks for is absolutely normal for anyone in a relationship. I'm rewatching the episodes, so I'll come back to correct any mismatched opinion hehe. Oh btw, watching the episodes again makes me understand BH & HJ a lot. What both are saying makes perfect sense. And except for the time when BH badmouths HJ, I really like him. He seems to be a really good person :)

Also, by age gap I didn't mean it from my perspective but rather the stages of life of both HJ and YS. I'm a bit worried tbh. I have thought about it this way too - YS is focusing on his career, HJ will also be away at times when she is flying far. So when both are busy, maybe their relationship could work better than how it was b/w YS and MK. Just speaking from the perspective of their busy schedules. I'm actually a lot worried about YS/ HJ pairing although theirs give me so much butterflies and giggles.

Realistally speaking, I honestly dont' know if they will match well. I want them to, trust me :) If YS has learned from his breakup (not to make your partner lonely), then it'd be good. I wish he fights for what he wants and not give up so easily. If HJ and BH have learned from what initially made them fight and argue, they would be perfect! The boys need to know where their priorities lie and what is important at least at eventful times.

I am rewatching older episodes. This gives a lot of answers.

BH -> I understand why he was confused. He always seeks a 'yes' or 'no' answer. But it is a show where even when you are firm, you can still be conflicted. When you see your ex, all of your buried feelings come out, jealousy pops up, there is confusion in understanding their own feelings. This is a place where they face a choice: to get back or find someone new and how to take it after the show. Just a few days is not enough to have a crystal clear answer. It is rare. And it is normal. Looking forward to their ex-date. Let them talk it over and let go of each other. I hope BH carefully makes a choice so as not to hurt himself, nor the other person. Not to mention YY.

HJ -> HJ is clear with her feelings. She initially did not want to get back together with BH but after meeting him, the way he spoke to her affected her. She decided at 50-50. And she is consistent. It is hard to see her ex comfortable with others and showing interest in a new person. It is like that for every single one of them whether they express it/ show it or not. The more I watch the episodes, the more I draw far away from YS/ HJ. I can't see it happening. They are both docile and there is the age gap. She wants to get married. He is busy with work. He wants the other person to express a lot. She is quite passive. Not very sure. And there is SY. I have written about him in his section. I can't see SY and HJ working out in the long run. At this point, I don't see a single male cast who matches her well.

JY/ WJ -> Girl is admirable. She is confidence queen, mature and I love how articulate, gentle and wise she is. She was the most decided person and WJ is knocking at her resolution. If WJ realizes what 'exactly' he did that caused JY to decidedly move on, then things would be beautiful between them. He is a very loving person. Both suit each other very well imho.

WK -> I really love him. He is a no-drama person. He is very consistent and clear in what he wants. He appreciates JY and also values his feelings. He wants to know if it can work between him and his ex. It is definitely not one person's fault in their breakup cos if it was then JH wouldn't be so tormented by her feelings. I hope they both can calm a bit, understand each other's expectations and see if their values match. If they are able to understand and compromise, well and good. If not, I hope they can heal and move on.

JH -> Ahh here comes my observation. Such a lovely girl, lovely personality, adorable and admirable. It really breaks my heart when I observed her in the show. That is, she is clearly not over her ex. She has grasped the show well and utilizes it best. That part is admirable. However, she clearly has an interest towards Yoo Shik and Yoo Shik clearly had an interest in her. If only she kept expressing her honest feelings for Yoo Shik in the text, things could have really worked out more than it did. What made me sad was whether it was her ex (during their relationsihp) or Yoo Shik (her new interest), she over analyzes and steps back. Her feelings are important. If she had expressed her interest towards Yoo Shik without stepping back whenever he doesn't text, things could have been sooo different. I can see lot of potential in JH/ YS than HJ/ YS.

YS -> He clearly hasn't gotten over his ex. The problem is see is he doesn't express well. He is quite similar to JH. He doesn't pursue if he doesn't get an assurance. He did that with JH and his ex in the show so far. If he had received a text from MK, I really wonder how things could have turned. I still believe that if he and MK have a heart to heart conversation, there is a possibility that things could change between them. I think he moved on from JH a bit once JH chose SY for her Japan date. He focuses on 'that day'. Ofc, YS is still trying to get to know people so it is too soon to fixate on one person. It is a bummer seriously! Ahh and I honestly cannot see YS/ HJ happening. I can see YS/ JH and YS/ MK happening tho. Not sure how it will be if the new female cast joins in.

MK -> Lovely girl, no drama. Very good. I think MK became friends with WJ. Their dates were cute. Very much waiting for the ex-date. MK said she has a lot of things to talk with YS. I want YS to face his feelings, to face MK and not run away. I don't understand why YS is afraid to face her.

SY -> Hmm I understand his frustrations. He is clearly not over HJ but man, he feels one thing and says the other. The problem is he is not good with words. Honestly I can't help but compare him to BH. I know I shouldn't but clearly BH shows a lot of affection and attention to HJ than SY. If I imagine SY and HJ getting back together, I don't feel like things would be any different for them. HJ seeks affection and quality time. Both BH and SY lack one or the other. So, at this point, either SY has to introspect and see the gap. But that is who he is. If he has to match HJ's love language, he has to put in effort like a 'hard working romantic'. Honestly, will that work in the long run? I can't help but think he will get exhausted and HJ will feel suffocated as well.

YY -> YY is a very lovely sweet and ambitious girl. The feelings that BH and YY share towards each other seems genuine. I would like to see them match together. I think BH suits YY more than HJ cos YY is very cheerful and leading as well. I hope BH faces reality and chooses wisely.

JH -> Honestly I can't wait for JH/ HJ date but I can't see it happening either. I just wish that JH is himself, instead of trying to impress others and trying to seem confident. I'm not sure about how he is without his guard. He has not expressed interest towards HJ and he is also clear that he wants to talk to her irrespective of who he likes. Hmm that is good.

Ji Hyun's room has only one bed right? I'm excited to see how things will turn out once the new female member joins the house. Will she shake things up for Jae Hyung/ Se Yong? The rest of the boys seem pretty set.

I wonder how it'll be when they all watch the show.

Ji Hyun was my favorite girl from the beginning. She was funny and conversed well.

Hmm.. regarding her romantic interests, this is what I observe: She is a beautiful girl, talented, funny but she puts more focus on the other person's feelings rather than her own. For example, she was curious and interested in Yoo Shik at first. But she assumed that HJ was YS' ex and assumed/ observed that his heart was shaking for his ex, and so she chose BH.

Same thing in her relationship with WK. She saw that all of WK's friends were from good social background, she let that affect her too much. Ofc, they were discussing marriage, it wasn't just a casual date, so she could have become more insecure and felt small. However, what does WK's social circle got anything to do with her relationship with WK? I'm also afraid what made her quit acting and pursue to become an announcer? Did she choose it for herself or so she could fit in WK's circle? I'm genuinely worried.

I just hope she loves herself (I'm repeating this for the seconf time here) and accepts herself just as she is. This is a complex and she is doing well for herself. No need to feel this unncessary complex. Girl, you deserve as much love and happiness as anyone. Be proud of yourself! I know it's hard especially when you feel like the odd one out, but for all the hardwork and efforts you have put in life, you are precious and valuable! ^^

What BH and HJ are feeling right now looks like they are reminiscing their past and those feelings from the past overwhelm them. I am guessing they would overcome this soon and move on in the future episodes.
