I agree that Love Upon a Time was a disappointment.

I will support August in his future projects. But Leng? No thanks. If I see that he's the lead character in anymore BL series, I'll skip them.

Leng is a horrible actor. I wonder how he gets these roles?

Did they go over budget....run out of money...and were forced to cut it short at episode 10? LOL. What a dud ending. I lowered my 8.5 rating to a 7.

Despite the anticlimactic ending, I did enjoy the series. No...it certainly didn't rank as an all time great historical drama...but it did have it's interesting points. And...watching that handsome August in each episode did help make the series worthwhile.

Okay...I've got to clarify a few things about bromances. Just like romances, they can vary in emotional intensity. Even though your bromantic best friend is not your romantic partner, you miss him when you're not with him. When you are together, the world seems whole again. It's not romance. It's a type of karmic bond. And for some guys it lasts a life time. Outsiders might view it as gay. But it's not. And...a bromance can be between 2 straight guys, 1 straight guy and 1 gay guy, or 2 gay guys. You really have to be in one to understand it. It's more than just a best friend. He's your soul mate...your life partner...but without the sex or romance.

How do I know? I've been in one for years...and years. We met when we were both 21....the years have gone by...we both have our own family lives...but the understanding is clear.....he is mine and I am his...and nothing gets between us.

And for those of you who are thinking that there's sex involved...or a suggestion of sex...you are wrong. Having a bromance partner is like being given a gift in life.

Okay...I understand what you're saying...but in real life women often insert themselves into the bromance relationship because they feel as though they stand a chance at romance. And even in bromances with strong emotional feelings (what you referred to as gay undertones) there is often a woman who places her time and hope on one of the guys.

Great post. Maybe the UK doesn't have bromances...but the USA does.

And...I really LOVE that it isn't. Guy bromances are amazing...and last for a lifetime. How do I know? Because I've been in one for years...and years. I met my bromance guy when we were both 21...years have gone by...and we are still together. We have our own separate family lives...but he is mine and I am his. And no one gets between us. No sex has ever been involved, mentioned, or suggested.

LOL. I have to agree with you. I got so worked up over episode 5 that I had trouble sleeping last night. I had to keep reminding myself that it is just a drama. But...then...that little voice in my head kept telling me that there really are mean nasty evil people in the world....and that situations similar to this most likely have happened. OMG. Super AI will look at humanity and most certainly decide that the planet has no use for us.

Well...I have to agree with you that she did steal the sheet music. And...contrary to what others have commented, I most certainly do believe that it was intentional. She had every opportunity to slip it under his door....but chose not to. Bad karma follows people like her.

Maybe...but I just get the feeling that Choi Jeung is the son of Kang Pi O's grandfather. But...you are right. Something...some strange twist...is lurking just around the corner.
