Coz XS writing that letter basically gave himself a promotion and security, had nothing about HX. It was all him. SR was trying to figure out XS's plans regarding HX, whether he will betray HX, since XS has been bounded and stepped on by Hu for decades now. Given XS's personality, he 100% capable of throwing HX under the bus, especially since Madam Hu's actions were also getting more outrageous and audacious. XS has all the reasons to do that. SR is trying to now get close to him (since he has no other choice) by talking in hopes of XS slipping some info about HX or to make XS panic, which will bring his protectors out (If he still relies on HX). Also now that everything is out in the open, there's no need to pretend. He just warned XS to count his days since he cannot protect XS forever.

Hu Xing has so much influence in the court despite being super corrupt. Emperor wants SR to take down people behind Xie Shu, who is HX. XS wrote a letter to the emperor (could not really understand what was written) which has some importance. I THINK he wrote it to save himself since he knows YR/SR will bring him trouble. So emperor told SR to protect him/befriend him, let him take his guard down, lure his backers out and scoop everyone out

Yeah. Unlike other actors, that bad/wooden actor label follows him everywhere. Everytime a drama airs, people get surprised and say he has improved (cough cough eight hundred). In reality he has always been good. Its the marketing and bad scripts he was given. In my opinion, that tea-spoon feeding marketing method (pushing engagement of salty people disguising as passerby posts /hater posts/ bot posts) every single day is a lot more effective, both in terms of cost and viewer mindset manipulation. Hot searches are impactful too, but i feel like because of how traffic-driven hot searches are, people could forget about hot searches unless they are up in those lists for weeks and months consecutively, which does not happen with "bad/wooden acting label"

There's a joke among the fandom. People keep asking where can they apply to be a part of his team because its the most chillest job ever. One person like you can do an 8-person job and still get to sit down doing nothing enjoying life. Utterly useless

Ive been trying to find a reason for the past 2 years and this is all i could come up with.

Since debut, his agency marketed him as "bad boy" vibes. Then they heavily marketed his acting as wooden/bad during ALP, FIYS,MR. The marketing does not have to be in the form of a full blown hate campaign with trending hot searches (that happened too). They just have to push the engagement of posts of haters/pretending passerby that say his acting is wooden. And when a normal person read that posts and comments, they create a certain presumption in their minds. When those people go watch the drama with that mindset, they tend to find clues in his acting to confirm that stance. I dont know psychology, but there should be a term for it. Its like feeding people unbased opinions as facts little by little to the point people really think its true, despite watching or not watching dramas. Even though the acting is good, people still think its bad.

This could go the other way as well, where people watch his drama, find his acting so good and get rid of those marketed stances. The fact that his acting is super nuanced, detail oriented with perfect eye-acting and body language does not help either in an industry where to be a good actor, you have to do screaming and crying scenes. Although that's a part of it, it is not everything.

The production company is the broke one. Heard the producer has a spending restriction order or something (dont know if people are making shit up or its actually true). Iqiyi is not broke, but they are reporting back to back losses since the past year or so.

The family's first son who has a military honor and the heir just died and xie shu calls it a TRIVIAL matter???? I've watched plenty of housefighting cdramas and in most of them, a lof of villian dads somewhat like the sons, despite mistreating the daughters, BUT THIS Xie Shu is a new low for me

1. i dont know why they do it but ive seen multiple dramas where they wait a couple of days before the funeral. I assume its to prepare everything and wait until his armour arrived and stuff. idk
2) They should have let baoxian know about it (she probably knows its just not shown, usually dramas show the conversations between a maid and a master but with qingyuan and BX there is barely any. Mostly first and second madam maids are active. I personally dont think there is no point of telling it to anyone other than baoxian, not even to qinghe (not let her worry), to avoid further drama

It is only fair to compare S+ tencent drams with S+ tencent dramas. This one is an A+ or S level from Iqiyi (so damn broke) 😭. This production team can't even afford to do in-person promo in china. They could only piggyback on iqiyi internationals money for thai and viet promo. sighhhhhhhhh
