I get what you mean. It was in the Youku 2025 Spring investment promotion conference, and there’s a lot of buzz around dramas that will air during the summer today just before and after the conference. My guess is that since they are still in post production, the drama is expected to air in Q3 or Q4 (most likely Q4- Oct, Nov, Dec). Dramas that are expected air in May like the one with Xiao Zhan, Cheng Yi, Wang Churan have either acquired investment or are still looking for them. So it’s too early for FI to ACTIVELY look for investments. I think the dramas they released a lot of materials today are either gonna air soon within a month or two, or the ones that are going to start filming (they also need investment to start projects)
But since this is an investment promotion event, I also expected some new materials, at least some pictures (at least I haven’t found them). But I’m not surprised since it’s a suspense drama with government involvement (they tend to be highly secretive post production).

Update- Apparently when xie qingyuan moves back to the xie house, they treat her so poorly, no good accessories, pale clothes etc. Only after she earns (money through a business maybe- not sure) she start to wear colorful clothes. So I think by now or next few weeks FL will have prettier clothes.

Other fandoms make way too much noise probably 10x more than xukai. Their marketing teams are running full time 24/7. Good thing they release numbers like this , it’s more like a reality check for them that’s marketing its everything. Also XK fans are loyal. All the annoying one’s probably left a long time ago to chase traffic stars. Anyways congratulations kaikai and let’s hope he gets all the good things in the world
New rumour is August 🍉 . They just keep pushing it. I need a xu kai drama so bad coz if they release this in August (and if Fire investigator won’t come out before MR) it’s going to be an year without a XK drama (ABAY finished airing in August 2024).

Historical dramas with CGi and stunts generally take longer post production compared to modern dramas which do not have those. TFF is the first frost. But release of the drama depends on investment, platform, promotion, schedule clashes with other dramas with the same actors or genres etc.
