Change the title to A Spiders Journey..
The rating 7 is all for Cheng Yi.. if he wasnt in this i wouldnt even watch this. First i dont know anything about the novel.. but ive watch all the series.. Love in Pavilion being my fave one.. so i was super looking forward to this one bcuz i wanted to see Fugui's story after his parents...well that didnt happen.. the writers and whoever else was behind this screwed it all up for us viewers.. Cheng Yi was barely on screen.. his characters story didnt have a chance to develop or shine.. due to what seems like the focus became the FL. No exaggeration.. she probably had 75% screen time on this show. Even in moments her character had no significance.. she managed to be in the scene.. like when Fugui and his father were closing their chapter she was standing in the room like for what let them have their intimate moment as father and son.. maaan how much money did u pay for that.. that whole 15 episodes straight of just her and her brother.. wow.. im sorry but this was such a disappointment for cdrama.. would i recommend? Only if you are a fan of the FL cuz this technically was HER show and not about Fugui.. as for me.. i cant believe they used Cheng Yi to promote this show when its not even about him. 💜Was this review helpful to you?

Nice story..
I liked this show.. the characters had their own individual flare and it was quirky.. its your typical going back into time and coming back to the future.. i dont think this show was trying to be extravagant or ground breaking.. but it did keep me going from episode to episode.. I wanted to know what was gonna happen next. My only thing with it was the romance was a veeeeerrryyy slow burn.. almost like a carrot waving in my face the whole entire time.. but the ML/FL were very endearing during the show. Strong start..
It pains me to do this review since i love Neo so much as an actor. I know its not his fault.. more of a directing and screnwriting issue. This show was so good in the beginning then it just fell off and dragged and some parts i ended up fast forwarding cuz it was just so boring.. it began i think around ep 23 or so.. the misunderstandings and the lying and keeping secrets from eachother dragged on all the way to the last few episodes.. im sure there are other viewers who felt as frustrated and tired as me.. but i kept pushing through and finished.. so many characters in this show.. and their misunderstandings were fixed by the main couple and closed in less than one episode but the main couple just kept on with their misunderstandings and kept adding more lies and secrets to their story.. Even as a Neo fan this was a tough watch for me but i endured. Would i recommend? Sure, maybe you will like it. As for me to rewatch probably not 💜Was this review helpful to you?
Arthur Chen.. has made me a believer ?
First off.. just to let you know none of my reviews will give out spoilers. My reviews are based on whether or not i personally enjoyed the show. And what i liked and disliked about each drama i watch.Lets begin 💜
I really took a leap on this show becuz for some weird reason i never found Arthur Chen attractive and his shows interesting. I avoided him like the plague. But wow.. thank goodness i took this chance. This show was so good. Plus Arthur Chen looked so handsome in this and so did Gao Han. THIS is what i call a beautifully executed love story. The ML and FL no fall outs.. no misunderstandings and splitting up for years etc.. their love was so organic and flowed without conflicts. These kinds of love stories really make your heart want to explode. Every romantic scene got me screaming and giddy. Which there was so many!! Their love conquered 3 lifetimes. Watch this if you want a love story that makes you want to root for the couple all the way 💜

A Must Watch..
This has to be one of the best stories so far in 2025. If i could go higher than a 10 i would. As usual i don't put spoilers on my reviews. Im not gonna base my review on the actors/actresses either. This review is based on the show as a whole. The storyline with all its twists and turns kept me entertained and throwing my phone. The main/supporting characters' stories on this show were imo executed beautifully. Some shows kinda fall short when it comes to making the audience feel and understand these characters. ML/FL chemistry was nice and liked that it was a more mature romance. The relationship between the ML and his siblings was a breath of fresh air.. no rivalry.. no schemes. It was heartwarming to watch. The villians were just wow.. real villians to the core. Speaking of.. to me the relationship/story between the sister and the emperor was the highlight for me.. the way the actors and director pulled that side story off was just incredible! The arc of those characters omg they did a brilliant job! Enough of my rambling! Would i recommend? YES 500%!! Go watch it right now!! Trust me u wont regret it. Hear me out on this one..
**sigh**Ok.. first this show stressed me tf out.. there were so many things and misunderstandings going on left and right ONLY with the ML and FL.. the rest of the characters seemed like they were more grounded and had very little conflicts with eachother.. it was so frustrating watching the ML/FL go from one misunderstanding to another.. other viewers say oh its a trust thing cuz she was being manipulated by everyone.. ok i get it but its a tv show we have very limited time on episodes so they need to wrap this sht up..
It was around ep16 i think where the story got a little less stressful between the ML/FL so i began to relax and enjoy the story more.. was then upset that after all i went through the writers couldn't even spare me in the end.. and thats all im gonna say about that..
And just some other side remarks.. this show had the noisiest foot steps 🤣 like elephants walking around.. and the weapon of choice here is poison.. idfk how many people and how many times the characters got poisoned and every time its a "rare" poison but somehow everyone survives then gets poisoned again 🤔 😮💨
I literally watched this all becuz i love the entire cast.. ive watched their shows and theyre great actors/actresses but damn the writer of this story i just want to kick u in the throat..
Would i recommend this to a friend.. mmm..yes but with warning. Would i watch it again? Probably once was good enough to traumatized me.. i mean try it.. some may like it.. tomatoes.. to-ma-toes 💜

A Break From The Usual Watch..
Personally enjoyed this show. It was a breath of fresh air from everything that's playing right now in general.. IT'S A STORY.. I'm glad it wasn't focused on romance for once.. and just a story about the lead and his journey to cultivation. The show stuck to that theme. It didnt divert. I didnt read the novel or knew anything about it. So i went in with zero expectations. It was a.. for lack of words.. an easy and smooth watch. Do i recommend it? Yes. Would I rewatch it? Yes. A Nice Surprise ?
This was pretty impressive for a short drama! Could be comparable to the big budget long play dramas. Qin Tian Yu's acting was on point. Loved him in Starry Love.. he was great in this one as well. Chemistry between the leads were chefs kiss. The story started a little wonky and confusing in the first episode but once the story got going it made better sense. The story flowed and stayed on track. The love story was sweet. Would I recommend? Yes watch it. I loved this.. as much as the previous two stories from the series. I love the friendships and bonds the characters had.. no backstabbing or schemes.. just you got my back i got yours no matter what.. ride or die.. It made me want to give my bestie a hug lol But seriously this was a great show to watch.. kept me on my toes and excited for the next episode. Couldn't really find a character that annoyed me or wondered their existence. Each character.. mains and support were wonderful in their own unique ways and personalities. Dont expect too much romance or kissing or any of that kind of thing since this is a martial arts story and not a love story.. Highly recommended if you are into these types of shows which i am so i loved it 💜Was this review helpful to you?
Ouch! This one hurt..
Lets start with this.. I love love Cheng Yi and I'm not gonna blame him for this 💜 I've watched almost all his shows.. but this one ughhh.. i finished it.. i believe there were too many characters and story was kind of all over the place.. just an example the FL.. she disappeared for several eps and her story just like disappeared into air and never went back to explain what happened.. there were so many characters who were represented poorly.. like who are you sir? Then he's ded. Wtf. And my other fave character Suifeng.. his story as well was poorly executed.. i dont blame the actors/actresses they are just following what they're told.. i blame the directors and screenwriters for this one. Would i recommend? Yes and No. Yes if you are a big Cheng Yi fan like me to show support.. and No if you're not cuz it will bore you and drive u nuts 💜Was this review helpful to you?
The first quarter was good.. then ehh.
This show had a really good start and the story was interesting. Not familiar with any of the main leads. I enjoyed it at first.. but then the flashbacks began and the show got draggy and boring. One episode started to take me a whole day to watch cuz i would get bored and turn it off. So i had to drop this one.Was this review helpful to you?

This show was so good when it started.. it was hilarious.. i loved most of the cast. I would've given it all the stars i possibly could give but.. the FL kinda killed it for me.. I've watched literally all of LYN shows and loved him and the FLs.. but this one was just not it for me. Practically the whole entire series she just showed she didnt care as much for the ML as he did for her like she only cared about her drama and thats it. She spoke about how the characters were real people but her role was so detached from everyone. Like it was already a few episodes till the end and she still hasnt convinced me that she was truly in love with the ML.. idk maybe its just the lack of chemistry?
