Its a transmigration story within a transmigration story.
In the beginning our FL was given a novel to take home and work on. the novels name is " transmigration: evil king favorite consort"
the story is this: 21st century girl Ma Chun chun transmigrates into a book and resumes the identity of concubine Xie yong er. She falls for prince Xia bou. together they defeat the mad tyrant king Hou dan and lady Yu wan win.

While reading it on the train FL wishes that she could transmigrate just like the novel character. So she does but she becomes Lady Yu who is the antagonist of the story and is destined to die. That's why she is so happy to know the king is also transmigrated cuz they are from the same world while SFL is a written transmigrator who is following another novel with a different name. something to do with flowers blossoming in the east. the name is long cant remember

The drama never answers that. There are many "why"s this drama will never answer. There are many open/loose threads that's left up to your own imagination. but they had planned to give the drama the same ending as the novel they have adapted from but couldn't pass the censorship. In the novel Hou dan dies first ( with illness ) and wanwin stays ruling the country for years. ML goes back to the 2016 and studies enough to be a CEO and buys the rights to the book of " Transmigration: evil king favorite consort " to turn it to a movie. He know FL works for this company and has to read the book so he becomes the reason she get transmigrated into it. Its a full circle. of course none of these are shown here because of censorship

The protagonist of the drama we watch are the antagonist of the book and vice versa.

Yong er is not from the same world wan win is. she is a written transmigrator. The book yu wan win fell into was a transmigration story on its self and Yong er was the protagonist of that story.

that sucks. but I believe most deleted scenes are from the first few episodes. because they're too fast and jumpy to a point all of were confused. Bur the ending episode aren't the same. everything was explained. we got everything we wanted from them.

I think the first few episode were too fast paced hence why all of us were confused with everything but later on it gets slower so it looks better. The battle field scenes are great and the coronation is just majestic

Their encounter in real world was really short but Im not mad tbh. It has a good wrap up
