Im officially in a space where Im fast forwarding this drama. The story is just off the rails.

yes the one kiss with huge lamp shining on them and the they end up on the bed and the canopy closes up

ep 25 ; that scene when main leads make love looks SO similar to the one in kunning palace.

I remember not being able to watch SOKP because the cinematography was ass there like the camera work, the lightening, the make up, the editing etc was so incredibly fugly it hurt my eye.
I had no idea this had the same director 🥴 those first episodes were great but its getting worse every episode. its starting to resemble SOKP for real
still invested in the story tho

Watched it for my love Cheng lei and discovered two other actors to obsess over. Jia rui and Yu xiao caught my attention for their amazing performances. And omg Esther is not acting 5 for once. more of these roles please.
But in all honesty I shouldn't have done that. I had read so many comment saying the story is unfinished and there is no plan for season 2 and yet I still caved in because of its amazing cinematography and characters styling. ( tiktok is to be blamed..... and Cheng lei)
It just doesn't move forward. Everything is so slowwww. Lots of talking and alluding to stuff without anything actually happening and none of the important questions get answers. Also the slow whispering delivery of the line gets pretentious at some point. All style no substance drama

I'm not connecting with them nor am I rooting for them. Are you ok in your head? I said I'm interested in their story and how it plays out
