imagine that the crazy ex got lost after the break up, we never got to know his family, 2nd couple had more screen time+ romance and there was no antagonist /uncle. Im convinced that even writers hate what they write nowadays. They said ROMCOM???? here... damn 😒whatever
taking a break helped actually. do not binge this at all. Also do not watch for romance. be warned that main couple are a both unpleasant but the rest is good. the palace drama is great. and it looks good
She wasn’t homeless in Love Next Door, but, yes, even in Playfull Kiss she lost her house 🥺😳
I loved it. I dont know your taste so I dont know if I recommend it but its 52 episode family drama and its very tropey ( identity swap, fake sibling, Rich guy/poor girl, annoying in laws etc). Somin and Lee jun have insane chemistry there and their kiss is so good

I mean in love next door she technically wasn't but she was still searching for home. not a house but a home. she didn't think she had one in the US nor with her parents. That seems to be a repeated thing for her characters. Even in my father is strange where her character had amazing supportive family and lived with them to the very end, she wanted to leave the house for a period of time but didn't have the money. I love that drama so much
I love Choi Woo Shik and liked Somin's earlier works so I was excited for a good rom com. The problem is the writing…
genuinely asking as there any romcom that's not predictable and tropey? not just korean ones but any romcom. this is a bad year for kdrama as whole but I love Somin and marriage of convenience is a trope I will always love so Im watching
Im so happy to see the princess find a backbone. What if she gets to be the one taking both Xia brothers down? that would be so badass. Also the current Susha emperor dont seem that bad for real
"This drama should help Ryan Cheng graduate from web dramas for good" and it did. That's how I found this drama. This is a great review. I agree with everything you said. It felt like the 2 female spies were support characters for Gong bros
ep 25 ; that scene when main leads make love looks SO similar to the one in kunning palace. Also the huge random lights I remember not being able to watch SOKP because the cinematography was ass there like the camera work, the lightening, the make up, the editing etc was so incredibly fugly it hurt my eye. I had no idea this had the same director 🥴 those first episodes were great but its getting worse every episode. its starting to resemble SOKP for real still invested in the story tho
