the directors did the female lead dirty by giving her such a huge project to take on when she is a rookie actress…
Actually is her agency fault not only the directors. If she is a rookie actress why not start with small roles? She took a huge project and a complicated role to begin with. I understand that you need challenges to get better, but this one is a totally miscast. Her acting is bad, she acts like a robot, no personality and body language. The sister is doing a wayyyy better job with only a few lines each episode, even her body language is on point. I believe is important to make a self evaluation and be honest to yourself, before accepting certain jobs. Even in real life, if you don't have the skills, don't apply for the job or apply to be an intern.
From the trailer it seems like them working together actually "ruin" their marriage. KJW seemed to yell and be a strict boss and KSH seems to just take it and doesn't speak for himself. The family dinamic also doesn't help at all, he does all the work for his in-laws and I bet they look down on him and think he should be gratefull to be there. KSH's family otherwise seems warm but did they manage to bring KJW to their side? Do they make her feel included and part of the family? This are things that are in my mind...
