actually.. in my opinion she is very suitable for the role because she is doing a good job. for me (at the moment)…
first of all if something had changed so drastically then the show would end. second saying that she didn't accomplish nothing is wrong: she made her corrupted boss to be fired, she is now a respected worker in her job, she found real friends, she managed to get her name clear, she is manipulating the people that made her suffer. SHE BEATED UP that bitch, she has now an ally. She is now leading them to destroy each other. It's not that a thing has to be SUCCESSFUL just if it's BIG. All small details bring to something BIGGER. Third thing: a thing that lasted for like 20 years it can't change in a blink of an eye, that would be the biggest unrealistic thing ever. The things are going at the right place.
A thing that many overlook is the importance of self improvement in Revenge. There is the idea that getting revenge is just being autodestructive, but there is also a more healthy revenge: to improve yourself and live your life at your fullest. Of course it all depends on the situations, but here I found it really nice that it's a double revenge, where the mains are not being autodestructive in doing so. They want to become better, to don't fail in regret, to have a real life, the one that they deserve. With some type of people that gaslight you into thinking that you are not good, you are always the mistake, that you wouldn't go anywhere without "them" -> improving yourself and understanding their gaslight and just showing that you are good, you are great, is a great revenge. I'm also speaking about it by personal perspective and experience. Anyway I'm sure, we'll get also the other side of the revenge. But I'm loving this side, it's not the usual makjang.
I've seen people displeased with how the FL is not taking action immediately.First of all she can't because she…
For me they are not even reading the subtitles... it was stated so many times that she has to be careful about how she acts 'cause it has to be done in the right way. Leaving him behind could actually lead her to an earlier death. Like she said the discovered he was violent just after marriage, but here before getting married he is already getting violent. A thing is destined to happen. But someone has to take her place. People probably don't even notice how impactful it would be for this to happen. I love the fact that while she is waiting the right moment she is changing for the better. Revenge is also becoming better of the people that destroyed it.
This drama is an obsession. I'm so in love with Yoo Ji Hyuk's character. He is such a GREEN FOREST. He is literally doing so much for her, how can you not root for him <3 I just want everyone to get what they deserve.
The charm of Park Ji Hoon's acting is that his eyes have their own soul. He is probably one of the best of his generation, and when it's about to speak with eyes he is probably one of the best. It's a talent to have eyes that speak the character's emotions. He doesn't need to speak or say anything. His eyes teel everything. He is such a talent. I really hope he will have a brilliant acting career.
wait. he’s married already? I think the hell not. I’m out.
it's an historical setting. Princes were FORCED to get married. They didn't even had the choice to choose who they wanted. It was sadly normal for the past. Just because you were a prince you needed a crown princess just with the goal to bear a child, you didn't have any choice. There was no love. We're not in 2024 (even if sadly some things still happens). As soon as a prince was of the right age (usually really young - 14? around that age) there was a selection race for the crown Princess. In no way you could have said "no" to that. It was your Duty to do so. You would have put your nation in trouble, why? 'Cause what is important in a Nation is to have a stable royal lineage. Of course to this King doesn't matter a lot of his Nation, but he cares about having his own place on the throne. Also a Crown Princess meant to get an allience with her family, it was a political marriage. Usually was of a strong party, because more strong were your allies more you had protection and power. Don't know if this is probably your first historical drama, but I've watched tons of it and I've got interested in its history and it's sadly a common thing. It was different from 2024, there is no "cheating" issue for royals. Just look at the concubine part of it. Even the most brilliant king of Joseon literally had tons of concubines. It was a cultural setting part. Some just enoyed having many concubines, some used the system to have more heirs, some were forced because of political alliences. We're an historical drama, there are rules and culture reasons. Anyway I shouldn't even worry about this drama, 'cause will be less realistic over that matter. Since it will be probably a true love story between the main leads.
I really like PMY and I'm loving her role here. I like to see female characters that fights for their happiness, and that has the courage to change in better. I can't wait for her revenge... I hate the husband (how it's possible to hate Yi Kyun's characters.... but it happened), but even more that snake of her "best friend". I'm a fan of Na In Woo since Mr Queen, and I'm pretty sure you should have faith in him. I really hope this will be a breakout role for him after some... not so good dramas. I know he can shine. Also his style is outdated because of 2013 plus if he was "too attractive dressed" he would be literally noticed everywhere. I don't get why people expects right away for him to be super hot, when the same Heroine stated that he didn't stand out that much. If he was super popular and hot then all in the company would try to seduce him. Plus he looks someone that likes to fly down. Even if always handsome. I'm loving this <3 I'm hooked.
Husband is so bad that he doesn't even feel real. But, I'm hooked.
My aunt got cheated by my uncle (now ex husband) while she was fighting breast cancer. So they are fucking real. At least he didn't abuse her or tried to kill her, but trash people exists and they are so real.
Considering how good this was compared to most of KBS drama this year it's a pity that was treated so badly at KBS awards. Still super happy that Seo Ji Hye and Lee Won Jung won both Best New Actress/Actor. Especially Won Jung, since I loved so much his potrayal of Hee Seop. They should have also won best couple tbh...
Toki is the Aoki I needed <3 I just love chaotic characters, and this is even more wholesome since for everyone he is a "dangerous yankee".... wheeeere? He is a chaotic small bean <3
I assume this season was more an introduction to season 3, but felt so long. My problem was with the pacing and use of characters I didn't care about. The only new character I liked was the one acted by Jinyoung. The rest I felt like watching a totally different drama, and with a confusing pacing. It gave interesting material to work on on next season, but I just felt bored most of the time. I really liked Eun Yoo in this season, she was my personal fav in this part of the story. Season 1 just on a totally different level of this one.
This drama should be the standard from now on. Acting, production, writing, quality. It felt like watching a movie. I need more of this, I need more of everyone and see what happens next. This is such a breath of air in kdrama industry.
i'm not really into this genre.. is it still worth watching?
I'm not a fan of superhero stuff. I only like a few, so I came from a situation like yours. But this drama is wow 'cause it's way more than that. More you go on and more you're invested with the characters and their stories. This is more than what it looks. Can't say anything more.
This is a really well made Kdrama. I mean really really good, but for romance searchers like me, it wasn't the…
The couples in this series for me are way better than couples in romance stuff. They are real, epic and deep. Unless you mean that you prefere it to have tons of romance, 'cause quality wise this is superior (at least for me) to all romance drama that I've seen.
This was super entertaining! Akaso was so amazing in this <3 Tendou Akira is such a charismatic and relatable character. If this was a kmovie Zombie by Day6 would be the perfect OST (go to check it out to understand <3) I hope the score will raise. 7.5 is ridiculous. Should stay at 8+
