Title Our Youth
This was a solid ep 1. It has some important changes from the manhwa, as the whole bully thing, but I've kinda enjoyed it. I especially like Minase actor, I think he is perfect for the role. And I think they have a good chemistry (even if I would like less fanservice unreal scenes - as the fontaine scene), but I'm glad was not a bad adaptation, since yeah it's an adaptation and makes sense to have changes. Until they keep the original soul in it ;3
I can't wait for ep 2! I'm so happy they decided to adapt one of my favs stories <3 It looks good so far

would add that it was not just that hurt Shin, since it was an accident and was a stupid ritual bands had. The problem was when he was left behind at the hospital, and felt betrayed, because saint acted as a coward.

Not everyone are ready for such a realistic drama.
Hands down to one of the best queer drama I've ever seen. Yes queer, this is not a BL. This is about reality, not dreams. Don't expect your classic perfect characters made of fantasy dreams.
This is real, this is raw.
Nam Yoon Su was superb.

I'm actually liking it a lot. I'm so glad to see Sky back, he is doing such a good job.
Kay as always is so good and underrated, I always feel he is so wasted in gmmtv, since they never gives him chances with new roles. He is better than most Bl actors.
I want him to see in different roles, but as a bully he always slays X'D
Mark as always is amazing.

Does anyone feel like they are shown too mature or grownup, they don't feel to me as high schoolers. Maybe it's…
it's not just you. I wanted to see their misbehave moments or act in a more sibling way.
Maybe we'll see more in next eps :3

it's super subjective. Some are liking it, some are hating it, some like me are conflicted. It's not bad, if not…
Of course The original it's one of my fav drama of all time, so I understand it too.
I tried this expecting nothing.
I just discovered they changed their jobs - he is not a pastry chef anymore, but a basketball player, and she is now a backer and not a wood sculptress. Tbh this made me unsure if I will like this drama.
These are no minor changes, since we all know how important was the sculpture she did of them, and also why he decided to bake cakes. Let's see how they will justify this.

Someone who watched the original, please tell me if this is worth watching. After the failure of an adaptation…
it's super subjective. Some are liking it, some are hating it, some like me are conflicted.
It's not bad, if not I would have dropped it at ep 1, but since it's an adaption you cannot expect changes.
This fits more korean standards - the FL lead is way more feminine, doesn't have a tomboy personality in the past, and is more in need to help from her brothers, unlike original while they had to intervene because she was impulsive and fought against people.
This is I think the biggest change they did.

For the rest it's almost alike, with the difference that there is way less build up.
Chinese drama is longer after all, and in the original you see way better them bonding to became a family, while here is a little more rushed.
Also in original I felt it less clichè or with teenage vibes. It reminded me more of Reply 1988 vibes, while here it has more true beauty vibes.

I think the casting, at least for children and parents, is super on point. Of main cast, Bae Hyeon Seong is for now my favorite. He is great with expressions, and he is really into the character.

I can say or you can wait, to see if there are going to be changes you could hate, or give it a try.
If eps were longer, and had more reply 1988 vibes, I would like it more, but it's pretty okay. Not a disaster for sure, at least for now.
It has things I like, some I don't like. I had no expectations, so I got what I expected.
I can say it's cute for now, not love at first sight.
But it's up to you to try it or not. We'll see more in the future what type of course it will take.

Does hae jun love ju won? Is the fl character similar to the Chinese version fl? I didn't like the fl in go ahead
If you disliked her, here she is different, so maybe of your taste (not of mine sadly).
In korean she is more soft spoken and kinda more damsel in distress, not a rebel or tomboy. Let's say she fits a lot the korean type of FL in school romcom.
I would say she is childish here too, some scenes were kinda- face palm, but they are teens.
And no, unless they change from og, there should just be the love line between her and San Ha. Hae Jun for sure love her as a sister, and not as a woman.

well Zhao Hua Guang was also cringe
I'm actually kinda ejoying it, as said I had no expectations. I said some parts were well done, others not really. About the FL or final scene, I would say the same even if I hadn't seen the original.
I would be more disappointed if it was in his head, because it would be another overused clichè. At least I'm giving it a chance, unlike many others. For example I'm interested in the friend change of crush, so I hope them to became a couple (unlike in og - where it didn't existed), so I'm not comparing every detail -
I'm actually loving a lot Bae Hyeon Seong interpretation, I think he understood very well the character, and I like how they are potraying him.

well Zhao Hua Guang was also cringe
but at least he didn't came like in the final scene, with that cringe outfit, and saying in high voice "I am your father", while grabbing his son in that weird way. In original he was for sure not overreacting or dressing as a clown.
I hated his father, but he was for sure not this cringe X'D

This is okay - I mean the childhood part was nicely done, while it totally missed the point in the teen part (also why Hae Jun's father is so cringe in this ver-- what was that scene).
FL is suuuuuper different, and while I can handle different plot from original (it's an adaptation after all), I dislike when they change the characters. I loved her toyboy personality and how mature she got after. She is just the classic fl in kdramas, a pity since the child actress did an amazing job.
This will be more a rom com since It has cheesy vibe. Feels less realistic as chinese ver.
Of course it's hard to not think to the original, so forgive me, it's soo difficult to not make confrontations.
Anyway I had less than 0 expectations, so I can't say I was disappointed. It was exacly what I expected.

ps: I already think Bae Hyeon Seong will be the star in this drama, just as in chinese ver. I just love his blubby personality and whole storyline.

Thanks for sharing your insight regarding the OG version and remake version. I am actually planning to check out…
I suggest you a lot the C-version for Steven's character. His character was for me, and for many, the star of the drama. I was amazed by how good he was to potray such a character. Maybe there is not love interest, but his story and character will be dear to you more longer than any love for any otp ;3
I can't forget him, one of my fav character ever.

Title Family by Choice Spoiler
Hello, everyone. I never watched Go Ahead because the love triangle between the brothers was off-putting. This…
There was no love triangle in Go Ahead. Just 2 eps of him confused of his feelings because he wanted to belong to the family, and not, to her as a romantic interest.
When the friend says to him if he ever imagine himself kissing her, he was "that's disgusting", because he sees her as a sister.
Fun how was the friend that made him think he liked her as a girl, just because he was jealous. he was jealous because he ws scared to lose his place in the family. All he wanted was to be with her to have a connection, a family, a place where to belong.
So, no, there was no love triangle.
