I think Khutan is a petty, horrible person and would most like to see her dead, but she's She'er's mother and that's the only reason I pay any attention to her at all. I've thought long and hard about how and if it's even possible to make her a better mother, but I guess it's easier to kill her. Less hassle and She'er could free himself from her toxic influence, but I'm still hesitant.

At first I was a little disappointed with the ending, but then I realized how wrong I was. I don't even know anymore if I should still call it an open ending, because would it make a difference if they showed them, I don't know, holding hands or something like that. The more I think about it now, the more convinced I am that the ending was perfect. Not exaggerated, symbolic, hopeful and peaceful.
