I am really enjoying this series. I came across it by accident and I’m so glad I did. I recognize some of my favorite bl actors and they do not disappoint. So far I am enjoying watching the potential couples evolve. And I was glad to see the homophobic salesperson put in his place. I can’t wait to see who actually ends up with whom. So far it’s more of a Come of Age vibe. I expect some drama in the next few episodes as people figure out who they are and who they really love.
Yang and Jiu to the rescue! What I am most impressed by is the steadfast devotion of Yang for his brother. I really don’t care about anyone else but our two couples, the children and the third wife(mistress). Hopefully they will wrap this kidnapping/Ma takeover up in the first half and give us a little tender loving care in the last half. After 16 episodes of bickering, snickering, angst and mayhem I don’t think that’s too much to ask for.
I don't feel bad for chan at all. She only realized her mistake when Ma was about to kill everyone. Before that…
I don’t feel sorry for Chan either but I do feel sorry for her sidekick, why she the only one have to die. If anyone needs to die it’s the mothers. The only good thing each one did was birth two loyal, loving sons.
I love Porsche and Arm so I was glad to see them in ep 9. To me it showed that gay families have issues just like any other families. Of course the issues may be different. We argue and disagree but if the love is real we find a way back. That’s why I’m glad they took us back five years because we know Ai and his parents have a great relationship. We also see why Ai doesn’t want a relationship with his biological mother. Hopefully we will get back to the warm, fuzzy parts.
I really wondered when we would find out about Ai’s biological mother. The only thing that I questioned was how easily he accepted what his mother said. I understand how Jaonan felt. I have two adopted children. Both were adopted as babies. Jaonan is hurt. Both of my children are adults now and when one had questions I tried to take the high road but secretly I still feel hurt. By the way I also have a biological child. My husband and I call him our miracle baby. He’s the youngest. His siblings love him and vice versa. They are each mine. What I don’t like is the biological mom character. After watching several other BLs in 2022 I thought we were done with the homophobic parents. It doesn’t make it any better knowing this week a shooter opened fire in a gay club and 5 innocent people were killed. I really like the main leads so maybe we can get back to the good stuff in the next episodes. Take care everyone.
Epi 15…. Nothing matters but the scene when Tian looks up and sees Jiu…..everybody scared for their lives and this son of a b is grinning….and the first one Jiu runs to is Tian…lol.. .the look on his father’s face is priceless….this is sho nough some kind of love….even the two wicked witches have to finally recognize it is what it is…just sorry for Yang’s mother’s sidekick….she was not mean, just dumb and devoted. Only two more episodes and I can concentrate on my bls.
Lol…Ma killing everybody! Time for Li to do what she does best….lol…Yang’s mom getting her due but Li and the black witch not touched at all…what a mess….poor Yang and Tien…they still love their moms…Yang even fought for his mom. What a great episode. Can we all say dysfunctional family. Time for the two black gladiators to spring into action…Yayyyy…My man Yang!!! Alright Jiu …that’s what we needed…
Finally coming to the end…lol…not one episode without the two wicked witches of the East and their sidekicks. Only two more episodes and I’ll be put out of my misery, This should have been titled The Mothers from Hell. Poor Tien and Yang.
I am binge watching the entire series and loving it even more the second time around. It’s a world I wish was the norm for those who are viewed as unacceptable by society…. supportive family and friends, sincere commitment and unquestionable love and devotion. I laughed and I cried. Earth and Santa were awesome. Kudos to the entire cast and production team.
My brother currently living in thailand, dated his chinese bf in thailand and it has to be hush...hush...because…
I recommend Love In the Air, The Eclipse , A Tale of A Thousand Stars and KinnPorsche. I also like Choco Milk Shake and My Tooth Your Love but they just started. Oh yes Semantic Error and Cherry Blossoms After Spring are Korean favorites.
