I think you are on the right track. I dont like the sister either but I do appreciate the fact that bl female characters are evolving. I got so tired of seeing the whiny, whimpering , Barbie doll caricature.

Ep 5 was so good I had to look at it twice! One thing I am sure of is Jet and his bodyguard …..they truly deserve each other… as much as I want to hate them they keep fumbling the ball . I still think the sister is the dark horse. I think she would pull the trigger on your father and either brother and not flinch! Pheem and Than remind me of Fei( good cop) and Tang( gangster) from the bl HIStory 3:Trapped…we are at the half way point and this roller coaster ride is just getting started. We are not done with Jason yet and I cant wait. I wish they would have had two episodes a week. One is torture for me!

Episode 5 was a mess…just the kind of mess we love to hate! It just gets better and better. It is a wicked game and everyone is a player! And every one is getting played!

Title Love in the Moonlight Spoiler
I rarely critique a BL series. I’ve never wanted to turn entertainment into a research paper. But for the past…
Thank you once again for a very astute summary of what has been one hell of a roller coaster ride. I love your definition of a lakorn. In my country to would be known as a soap opera and like a soap opera it toyed with your emotions and spun you and kept you on perpetual high. That is actual one reason I had to stop watching. But the lakorn has become my new drug of choice. I cannot refute anything you have said at this point. To put it bluntly I am mentally exhausted which I think supports your premise that the writers know exactly which strings to pull. There is so much I want to say about the finale but I just dont have the will or the motivation. Why not you may ask. The end game for me was a happy ending for
Saenkaew and Sasin. Obviously others felt the same way as evidenced by the upward movement of the ratings. It went from 8.4-8.6.
So no need for me to even try to rationalize the 360 degree turn with Pin and/or Grandma ascending as the voice of reason and compassion. By the middle of episode 12 I was thinking can we all just join hands and have a kumbaya moment. Kudos to the entire cast and production team. They played us like a fiddle. I for one cant complain because as I said before I got my happy ending. Again, it has been a pleasure. Now it’s on to Khemjira for me. I purposely waited for it to end so I can binge watch. Take care.

Thank you for sharing. Ironically the event I attended last week was to honor women who had overcome sometimes life threatening situations. One honoree spoke of how she was living in a shelter at one time. She said she was so glad her situation was not her destination. This same person went on to become a bank manager. Another relative of mine was laid off her job and became homeless. She returned to school at 50 and earned not one but three degrees. You have found the key to true success and it is in never giving up. Kudos to your mom. She sounds alot like my mom. Keep that flame of optimism burning. Take care and be blessed.

yes, they do keep some couples, e.g. Daou and Offroad work in this channel and they have been together for a while,…
They do feature couples for additional projects but I dont think they are into shipping couples like GMMTV. You will also see their actors in other series and in a variety of roles. For example, the uncle’s wife was in
To Sir With Love. Her character was completely different. And Pearl was in Laws of Attraction with a completely different actor. Pearl and Peak mesh so well together I think we will see them in at least one more project as a couple hopefully.

First I want to commend you on how you articulate your position in such a thoughful and respectful manner. I dont engage in personal attacks against the responder or the actors/actresses. Again thank you.
Secondly i commend you on taking a leap of faith and following what was best for you. I have watched people stay on a job they hated or one that did not give them the personal fulfillment that they craved. Their life was filled with I wish I could have or I should haves. You sound like you have mo regrets about your decision and that is what really matters. I have a young cousin who graduated with a BA degree three years ago. His parents and grandmother urged him to seek a position that was stable and offered financial security. But he discovered his passion was in photography. His grandmother is my first cousin. She expressed her concerns. I told her to be supportive and allow him to pursue his dream . Last weekend I attended an event and was pleasantly surprised to see him. He was hired to be the photographer for the event. I watched him with pride as he worked. When he saw me he was beaming and had the biggest smile. I gave him a thumbs up and later complimented him . Like you his bank account is not where he would like it to be. But that will come in due time. You just keep doing you and be happy. We only get one chance at this thing called life. Take care.

Thank you. I respect a rebuttal that is presented in a non accusatory manner . We can disagree and not be disagreeable . Your response reminds me of my youngest son . He and I go head to head on a number of issues related to the degree that cultural and sociological factors impact and affect our choices in life. Again, thank you.

I lied guys. I have to say one more thing before I call it a night. If I were Saenkwae I would take two bullets and die with a smile on my face before I gave Pin even a look at my pearls. I would consider that a happy ending. I would give Pin the gun and the bullets. I would wait and be reunited with Sasin in the afterlife . Shoot me and put me out of my misery because looking at that pouty whining face every day would be a living hell. Goodnight. Dont forget to spoil it for me tomorrow.

When Pin Becomes the Villain: Love in the Moonlight, Patriarchy, and the Market of SadnessI’m exhausted by comments…
Thank you. I respect your opinion but I stand by my initial opinion. Pin is a bitch. Using history and societal indoctrination to justify one’s selfishness and vindictive manipulation is a cop out. I am not buying it. The fact that the series chose to incorporate a lounge which served as a safe haven for gays and Pin was comfortable in that environment is a reflection of the change that was taking place during the 60s of which I am a product. The fact that Sasin ‘s friends held no bias against he or Saenkaew also reflects the change that was on the horizon. The inclusion of the lounge and the fact that the owner of the establishment was a woman was intentional. Pin ‘s response and subsequent actions were based on her own personal insecurities and manipulative personality. Her survival instincts kicked in when she saw the one area of her life that she thought she could control being taken away from her. She had choices to make and she chose the ones that she felt benefited her and only her. There were other options but she chose to ignore them out of her own selfish and self serving motivations. She is not a reflection of the times. She is a reflection of who she herself has chosen to become. To put all women in one basket and to blame our actions on society is in my opinion doing a disservice to the many women and men who were in their own ways fighting against the homophobia and sexism that existed. Lavender or Xinghun marriages go back as far as the early twentieth century. Again, Pin could have taken the high road but she chose to go low and based on previews I have seen tomorrow she will go even lower.

Yes, I think I would have felt different about her if she had not taken her to the lounge which obviously was a safe haven for same sex couples. But she was so giddy and fixated on Sangaew I knew she was going to be a problem. I dont think they really lied to her. The prince was nice to her but he never made any romantic gestures toward her. She herself could sense something happening between her cousin and him. I guess even when I was in high school I believed in being upfront. How do you really feel about me? I think as females we have to assume some accountability too and not feel betrayed when our feelings are not reciprocated. Be sad for a minute and then get over it! Anyway I have become too fixated on this series. I will be so happy when it is over and I can move on. Take care.

Title Love in the Moonlight Spoiler
This is hopefully my last post before tomorrow but I am seriously starting to believe that some of our bl writers are downright sadistic.
They really seem to derive pleasure from inflicting pain not only on their characters but on the viewers as well. If we went by their playbook then according to some bl representations being
gay was and still is a life filled with endless emotional, physical and psychological pain and suffering. I know it wasn’t easy but damn…. I have never seen these many tears since Until We Meet Again. Personally, I am wondering when the next History bl will come out so I can just smile and revel in the joy of being a gay gangster or a divorced gay professor. I grew up in the sixties and I still remember going shopping with my gay cousin . We had a ball. I thought it was funny watching him twirl around with a colorful caftan while the sales ladies giggled and snickered. I was most impressed when the nightclub owner and her club gave a glimpse of what life could be. And the reaction of Sasin ‘ s friends was definitely a high note. Pin has been to the club. She seemed very open and unbothered. So for the writers to portray her in such a sinister and malicious way seems downright sadistic to me. Obviously someone feels that they need to fire up the hatred and animosity toward homosexuals. And heaven forbid if there were any parents who actually supported their gay child. At least the writers of Rearrange got that part right. Enough already. I look forward to your spoiler tomorrow.
