I guess it is all in how one percieves their actions. They did not support his career choice and seemed to talk down to him. Instead of Dao supporting him she used her parents money to try to control him. Naran would not have been happy . They would have had him in a financial chokehold. That is like emotiinal castration. Naran needs a true partner. Someone who accepts and loves him for who he is. That person is Krailert. When I married my husband had nothing but dreams. My parents offered us a property they owned. I refused. That was a wise decision. Years later my parents realized whatever good intentions they had it would have put a strain on our relatiinship. With my unwavering support my husband realized his dreams and we purchased not one but three homes together.
I am still upset over ep7 but I have to say this. I love how Naron responded to Dao. I was so proud of him. He did not stutter or stammer. He made his position perfectly clear. Not only did he like someone else but that someone else is a man. He protected Krailert’s identity and he took that hit from Dao without flinching. I am still rooting for he and Krailert. Yes, I am just amazed at how the euphoria and the despair of that time is so brilliantly portrayed. Nothing feels sugar coated or whitewashed. This is how it was. When Victor left his family for the protest I still remember leaving home with my duffle bag and telling my parents not to wait up for me. All they could say was be careful. This series is grossly underrated. It is a gem. The entire cast has been outstanding.

I am watching all six episodes for the third time. Each time I watch I am just blown away . The scene with Victor literally striping away any pretense and revealing his true feelings for Trin is nothing short of perfection. And the way Trin responds is so heartwarming. Here is a young student declaring his love and his sexuality. Trin is sensitive to Victor’s feelings. He is kind and respectful in his rejection. He is not dismissive. You sense how much he really cares for Victor but as a brother, not a potential lover. Apo continues to raise the bar.

You are so right. I am loving the character Tanwa. We all are more than what we appear on the surface. We are not one dimensional. We are complex. We would spiral out of control without someone or something to help us find balance. Tanwa and Trin complement each other. They provide the balance each one needs.
What a perfectly beautiful ending. Together beyond eternity. Those of us who believe in an afterlife know that death is not the end but the beginning. Outstanding. This will definitely go on my rewatch list.
I am really glad I dont pay alot of attention to ratings. This is really a gem. How many times would we like to go back and rearrange a situation….not completely change it but tweak it a bit. I am loving the dynamics within the group. I must commend the writers in how the female roles are depicted. Generally I have a problem with how the female characters are written in bls. They can be either toxic or unbelievably fickle and obnoxious. Not so in this series. I actually like each one and they are an integral part of the storyline. It is wishful thinking but I want a happy ending for all of the couples.
I just love Wang and Chance. They really make Jun and Tuo come alive. I am rooting for the two of them. They belong together. Wen may try to break them apart but it won’t work. True love is not light and listless. It’s not just a bed of roses all the time. Sometimes it’s rough and rocky but it is worth it at the end. The brother’s reaction was a welcome surprise. I bet the mother already sensed they were a couple. I can’t wait until next week. Finally, everything is out in the open!

Nobody is talking about Nuch and Victor. There are so many layers within layers that represent the pain and the reality of life. Victor has also come to grips with the truth about his sexuality when he comes out as queer to his friend and his girlfriend. Her pain and acceptance is heartbreaking. Another good performance. The women are not just window dressing or foolish foils. In times like this there are physical and emotional casualties. It is inevitable. Freedom is not free. Justice is not always just. I am not looking for the usual happy ending . This is not that kind of bl.
