Okay it is over and I can say this will definitely go on my rewatch list. For me it hit all the points I want in a bl. First, it was entertaining. The cast was outstanding. I came for Zee and Nu and they did not disappoint. I loved the characters and how their relationship slowly evolves. The societal issues were woven into the storyline in an interesting way without changing the overall tone. My main concerns were dealt with: The treacherous king dies A new king and a new era is instituted A statement was made for gender equality. The princess was a pleasant addition. She provided the statement that was needed for female equality. Ramil finally stood up to his dad and the reconciliation between he and Paytail was tearfully heartwarming. Prince Calvin and Jay finally talk and reveal their true feelings for each other. I thought their kiss was cute. They got the screen time they needed. It was nice seeing Net and JJ but I understood it was always about the main leads. Chakri provided the humor and the actor playing that role always knows his assignment. I got my happy ending and the proposal at the end was the icing on the cake for me. I loved the time spent on our main couple at the end. I personally hate it when they devote so much time to the side couples that all we get is a quick kiss at the very end with the main couple. We got what I hoped for. So for me the 8.0 rating is spot on accurate. Personally I scored it higher.
The first episode was so much fun! I am loving it! When he grabbed that lace to complete his outfit I couldnt stop laughing. This is going to be a fun ride.
Another entitled female. I see the fiancee causing more trouble . As much as I love this series I am disturbed by the images which unfortunately are very realistically depicted. I personally know of three arranged marriages. And these were in modern times. Each couple married to please their parents. They did like each other and thought that was enough. They felt love would come. It did not. They parted ways. With both couples in the series there are societal divisions which I fear will not be resolved happily. With that said the visuals are stunning. Both couples are giving amazing performances.
Short but so sweet! It shows how it doesnt take a big budget or empty fillers to tell a love story. Here we have two talented hunks who have amazing chemistry and did so much with so little. From start to finish I was hooked. My only regret is that it was not longer. Somehow I feel together they will be able to live life again. The last scene was so beautiful and filled with hope. One last thing…those pearls the gangster was wearing were to die for. We ladies know our pearls and those made a profound statement. No explanation needed. I hope we see more of these two.
I could relate to this. When my best friend was diagnosed with terminal cancer I wondered why I had not been able…
That is an interesting perspective. I have often thought about that myself. Whatever the motive this is a hard call. Even when my mom was having a surgical procedure she did not tell me. It was her friend who broke down and told me. Even my dad kept it from me. I rushed to the hospital and just seeing my mom laying there i collapsed on her bed and just sobbed. That is just how she knew I would react. Thanks for your response. It gives me food for thought.
The only thing that can spoil this series is a bad ending and by that I mean an open ending or one where they are not together at the end. I keep getting bad vibes from Thada and his flashbacks. That would be a travesty! Thada and Armin deserve a happy ending!
as much as i wish cc would just tell wsw’s mom he can’t keep her illness a secret from wsw, i also can’t…
I could relate to this. When my best friend was diagnosed with terminal cancer I wondered why I had not been able to reach her. We talked almost every week. She was like a sister to me. Finally I reached her husband. He still did not tell me but he just did not sound right. I know she had told him not to tell me. The same thing happened with my mom. I was her only child. Her sister and her two best friends knew she had a bad heart but no one told me because she told them not to. Like the mom in the series she knew I would be so distraught. Is that right or even fair? I dont know. Even now if I get sick I wont tell my children unless I absolutely have to.
My heart was all over the place today….miscues and misunderstandings at every turn…and then mom has terminal cancer. I dont really want to see tomorrow’s episode but I know I wont be able to hold out! I will just get my tissues out and prepare myself. This is so good and the two brothers are hot!
I totally do not mind the baby arc…twins even. I think it’s cool. I read of a woman in her 60’s giving birth.…
At this point I am just going with the flow. This is what they intended all along….one big happy family with babies and grandbabies running around and the parents and grandparents leaving a legacy of love and acceptance. I would not be surprised if at this point the professor relents and lets the baby momma have visitation. I can even see Tak at the family gatherings. Let us just all join hands and sing Kum ba yah! Lol.
I am loving this already. The whole tarot card/ dream concept is intriguing to me especially since I am into how dreams and reality overlap. I am so glad to see Jimmy and Sea. And having First and Junior in this is a bonus. Nut is in this too. Even though it is just a cameo I am glad to see him. I really liked him in Thame-Po…. Anyway, great start!
The good mews is we only have three more episodes to go. At fist I found the squabbling between the brothers and the wives kind of silly. Then I thought about my mother and her three sisters and her baby brother and my dad and his baby brother. At some point the sisters and the oldest sister in law were all pregnant around the same time. Four of my first cousins and I are only months apart. And at some point they all lived together too. I can look back on it and laugh now but that had to be a real mess. So this is actually very realistic. The good news is they will be fine and their relationship will be even better. Seems like the baby’s mom is not giving up. Next week should bring her in the picture. Regarding our two newlyweds I personally cant think of anything worse than going through pregnancy and menopause at the same time. I taught eighth graders and there was one whose dad was in his sixties. His poor dad had time dealing with him. He was not bad but just mischievous. We feared his dad would have a heart attack any minute. To each his own but I hope they just decide to enjoy their adult children and future grands. It was sweet seeing Gong Su being so protective of his sister. I can also see the baby’s momma using the situation with Seri’s dad to pressure the professor. Of course the older couple was so cute and I envision them reconciling at the end. Only three more episodes. I have come this far I guess I can hang in there.
I loved this episode. There is still the matter of Rachata and his never ending quest for the throne. He is still a brute and sadistic tyrant. I thought the matter between Ramil and his guard/lover finally reached its breaking point. Good for Paytai standing up for himself. The princess has made her point. I generally feel bls struggle with their female characters but this series got it right. Chakri is alive and well which put a smile on my face. There were back discussions dealing with class and political succession which as a student of history I found interesting. Of course the Khanin and Charan snuggling together is always a treat. I was sorry we did not get more of Calvin and Jay. I look forward to seeing Net in future projects. Whatever happens next week I just want my boys Khanin and Charan coming out as a couple publicly.
One of the shows I am watching had a wedding yesterday, so I am loving the back-to-back weddings. Another show…
Thanks, I was wondering if it was that one. I am really new to this whole omega, aloha, beta troupe but I love it when new concepts are introducedso I am loving this.
If anyone has seen my comments they already know I am a sucker for a happy ending. Right now I am in bl heaven. All my couples well and in one piece. The wedding was the icing on the cake and did you notice every one was included in the wedding scene. Why not? I loved how they started out guns a blazing. It reminded me of the final scene in KinnPorsche. I have loved this cast so much and Milk is so darn hot! His character Willy added a whole new layer to the plot. This definitely goes on my rewatch list.
