Looking at clips of the star Moonbin makes this series all the more relevant and timely. Such a beautiful and talented artist. I live in a country which prides itself on being at the forefront of healthcare. Yet mental illness is still so stigmatized. You will answer a myriad of questions concerning your health until the issue of your mental health comes up. You put on a fake smile and pretend all is well mentally when you are literally about to explode. I am convinced that a lot of them did not want to die. They just wanted the pain to stop. Thank God my husband’s attempt failed. I got to him in time. No one would have even imagined him doing this. Not him, the pillar of strength, everyone’s hero, the life of the party. I learned not to assume and to look beyond the surface. The stigma and shame has to be eradicated and that can only be done through open discussions and series like Eighth Sense. It’s Okay to Not Be Okay is not a bl but deals with the issue of mental illness in an amazing way. I apologize for my ranting on and on. At this point while I want Jae Won and Ji Hyun to end up together it is more important for Jae Won to get away from his toxic friends, especially the exgf.
Today was so good I had to look at each episode twice. Love how Miss Freshman stood up to Needy Senior… loved how Tae Hyung reacted to Ji Hyun liking Jae Won…loved how Ji Hyun took on the wicked witch…loved how Ji Hyun went to bat for Jae Won… love how Jae Won is being depicted. Those who suffer from such trauma do not get over it as easily as some would like…some never recover….many do commit suicide. He looks and acts like a zombie for a reason. Hopefully in ep 9 he will finally release the pain that is bottled up inside. I hope Ji Hyun will be the one at his side in the end. Unfortunately I am going on a retreat next week. I may have to slip into the bathroom to see the last two episodes. Lol.
I had to go back to the beginning…this is so much more than two guys having hot sex. It is more about the trauma and ramifications of being physically assaulted and mentally abused. Uea deserves a happy ending. I hope King and his family can provide the love and support he deserves.
Love me some King/Urea(Net/James). Can’t wait until next week. I have watched over 30 BLs so far in 2023. I actually have a list of 46 . This is definitely going on my rewatch list. The fact that they even attempted to deal with some very serious and real issues makes this a winner in my book. We all need an advocate like King. The mothers were portrayed realistically. Unfortunately there are mothers like Urea’s mom. King’s mom is more like the overprotective momma bear. There is hope for her.
I just have to get this off my chest. There are some actors who just have that certain walk that exudes sexiness. They don’t have to take off their shirt, they don’t have to have a mad passionate love scene. Just the way they walk is enough to give me butterflies…my top three are Jo In Sung, Song Jong Ki and Park Soo Joon…I just added a fourth…Cha Seo Won. Just pure unadulterated sexiness!
International fans might be sleeping on this show but at least it's doing well in Korea (and Japan)! It's ranked…
I am so glad to hear this. I am an international fan and I am loving this bl. Semantic Error was my favorite but this and the Eighth Sense are giving it a run for the money.
OMG if Hyun drowns or is in a coma somewhere I’m done. My heart just can’t take it! Now I don’t know what’s real and what’s not…is this all some crazy dream. I feel like I’ve been hit by a truck. Haven’t felt this way since History 3:Make Our Days Count.
