The answer is yes. LeiLei went from people complaining why he doesn't do kissing scenes/romance to some now complaining that there's too much skinship and kissing in this drama. I find this completely amusing.
Feels like it's time to rewatch Love Like the Galaxy
LLTG was okay. There were things I did enjoy about it, but I really didn't like the relationship of the leads or the love story at all. It left me feeling cold with how one-sided and punishing it was. Personally, I enjoy good relationships where the characters can be unselfishly supportive, understanding, and pick each other up when the going gets tough. I felt like LLTG did the opposite. Shao Shang seemed to be only good to LBY as long as things were good and going well. Whenever things got bad, there was too much finger pointing, self-victimizing, and punishing. I mean, honestly, if you were angry enough to cut off ties for 5 whole years, might as well have just moved on from each other permanently. It was difficult to feel any true sense of mutual love in the story. I'm glad Wu Lei was able to do back to back dramas after that where he was in healthy, positive, understanding relationships with his female leads(Nothing But You, and now AASOL). He needed that after LLTG, haha.
I find his character refreshing. It’s nice to see how he tries to take of care in all aspects. I don’t see…
The reason I don't see it as controlling is that I think LYY is a complete softie and would totally give in to YG if she would insist or refuse. I feel like, for him, it's not about the issue of control but about wanting the best for everyone else so he's always jumping the gun and taking the initiative to do things for others so that they don't have to worry. It's not just with YG(though he especially pampers her), but he does that with everyone else too. It's prob a part of his personality because I think it has something to do with his unresolved past issues. Still trying to figure out if he feels some deep, deep sense of sorrow and guilt for having walked away/abandoned the people in his past or something and now feels the need to take care of others. Of course, this kind of thing can lead to other issues. I think communication is important and he should prob communicate with others first to make sure it's not too much before just going and taking care of everything...but I think a huge part of it has to do with him needing to overcome his past demons.
Seeing them like this makes me feel how single I'm 🥺https://youtube.com/shorts/hWHLW0RPSFU?si=ffam06pHMzzy3YnAHow…
Currently at the beginning of EP13, and while there have been so many good scenes of them together, that scene there in that video where he's playing with the lighter is my favorite so far. I watched it multiple times because the timing of the sweet music and how everything played out was just soooo romantic. Not gonna lie, I even got a bit teary-eyed and emotional because the moment was just too freakin' beautiful. And, yes, it makes me feel just how single I am too, even if I've always liked the single life.
is it just me or does anyone else also feel like they’d appreciate it a bit more if LYY talked to YG before…
I totally understand that he should prob talk to her beforehand...but his reasons for doing these things are mature and totally make sense(like sending her back because she needs to stay focused), so I can't even bring myself to be angry with him. In the end, I would have agreed with him on those decisions anyway. Also, only reason I'm okay with it is because I know LYY is such a softie. Like, I just know that if YG had insisted and objected, he would have totally given in and done whatever she wanted, lol. The things that he does comes off as more of gentlemanly gestures...someone who's so kind, he simply wants the best for others VS someone with the intention to control others. While I wouldn't be upset about it, I guess I would just ask for proper communication in the future. I'm guessing that part of his personality(wanting the best for others and always taking initiative without communicating first) has something to do with unresolved events from his past?
雪缘 (Snow Fate) - 王艺瑾 (Wang Yijin)《在暴雪时分 Amidst A Snowstorm of Love》Chi/Eng/Pinyin lyrics:…
Thank you for that. I was wondering about this piece of music after that scene where LYY was playing with that lighter. Sooooo romantic. This piece of music and the opening song(Falling in Love) are my favorites, though I really do love a lot of the insert songs and BGM too.
they really said wake up from your delusions!!!! 💀😭https://twitter.com/eowuli/status/1755172157674447019
I don't know much about Jinmai, but LeiLei is genuinely a realistic, humble, cautious, caring person. I've seen clips where he's telling his fans it's not safe to come out so late at night, reminding them to be careful about walking home alone, and just staying safe. Also, I've seen him point out in other dramas too about how certain relationships may be romantic but is not ideal in real life. He mentioned that while Shao Shang and LBY's relationship in LLTG may be romantic to viewers, he's not at all envious of them...and that he would call the police if he met LBY in RL, lol. It's great that they can still be so real about all of this, even as they're trying to promote and sell their works.
Apparently, 70% of Finns speak English as a second or third language? I guess it doesn't really bother me how…
Ah, I guess I wasn't paying attention? I didn't recall people having conversations on the streets. I was just thinking about those who were interacting with the main characters, and I imagine they would choose to use English with foreigners since English is used the world over.
It’s strange that all people in Finland are speaking English with one another. Their language is very different…
Apparently, 70% of Finns speak English as a second or third language? I guess it doesn't really bother me how they did it in the drama because it's not like every person on the street was speaking English. It's only those interacting with the main characters...and most of them are younger. I imagine most of the younger population would know English anyhow.
at ep 11 and I still don't know how I feel about this drama or the MC... my 2 cents...firstly, the foreigners…
Pretty sure he's supposed to be head over heels from the get-go, especially after he noticed her bag of cue sticks too. Wu Lei is doing his job, and he's doing it marvelously. Many other actors would fail to create that instant spark, especially if they had to do it with basically just their eyes and a few facial muscles. Maybe you're just not into male leads who are totally into their female leads from the get-go.
Avenue X just trashed it on her review 🤣 but she stopped watching at episode 8 so she gonna miss the development…
Doesn't that person trash just about everything? And some of the things that she really likes, I don't like at all, so I guess her opinions and mine will just never click.
Why it feels forced,. like everyone telling her, he is good for you, good man, good character, like it is even…
It doesn't feel forced to me because it was already obvious since the start that Yin Guo was naturally attracted to and also liked Yiyang too. She's just shy around him and inexperienced with relationships. The people around her are just reinforcing what she already feels about him. It's not like LeiLei's other drama, LLTG, where Shao Shang didn't like LBY, couldn't see anything good in him, and needed to be talked into liking him :P
That’s funny I live in Boston most people have more than 1 winter jacket I have like 4. Depending on the weather…
Same. I also have, like, 4 or 5. I feel like certain coats go better with certain styles or are suited for different degrees of cold weather. And, yes, one of mine is a dressier peacoat mostly reserved for more special events.
Woot! I'm not reading the novel(not yet, anyway) but that's wonderful news for all those who love and want to…
Why would they cut out so many episodes T_T But, yeah, going to wait until after the drama finishes to read it too. I don't want spoilers. I'm not reading any comments with spoiler tags, and I'm absolutely avoiding all the upcoming episode trailers. I feel like those spoil so much.
