Wait a minute. TTJ wasn't gonna kill XL. I never wanted him dead. Despite the fact that TTJ kills his father which I can see we all felt he should have died WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY earlier. I never wanted to rule alone. He want him to be a part of the peaceful world he was creating. I have no doubt in my mind they would have ruled side by side. TTJ is far from stupid. He is extremely calculative. It is what kept him alive all those years. He looked up to XL he was also an extremely important part of how he saw the world. TTJ may have wanted to kill everyone who hurt him but he also protected the ones he loved too. Even when he didn't have the power to do so... XL is one of those people...

He wanted to hurt him to make him stay and that is all!

The problem isnt the love or even the fact that she really trusted him. She watched him massacre all of her loved ones. For LSS she is betraying herself and all the people that died because of him. She was sent there to prevent that from happening. She died in the end for the love of all things. Including him.
