I've checked nielsen ratings few times over the years and noticed that youth and coming of age dramas are pretty underwatched in south Korea. seems like knetz mostly tune in for family/makjang dramas which are mostly aired in weekend slot targeting the middle aged people because mostly it's the time of the week they're free for entertainment. So I don't think it's the age of the actors but definitely the genre.

it's not a continuation of S1. S1 wasn't adapted from chapter 1 but it was adapted from the middle (ch 26-37) even the director clarified it in an interview. this season will start from chapter 38 onwards.
