It's a bit arduous to feel any emotions that ML delivered here unlike shunsuke did in JP ver. He should be bit more expressive when doing romance or melodramas, stoic acting comes handy in other genres not in melodramas (just my observation and opinion).
same happened in sword rose while it was airing. People are not giving chances to actresses to work in different genres in every industry. They just want actresses in the industry to romance an Actor in a romantic drama but not have a story of her own.

Atleast the age gap issue is out of picture now because they're only 6 years apart. My only complain is that they better make him wear the baseball uniform more than school uniform.
