Jdrama was the first genre I started watching. There is a difference between Jdrama and Kdrama. I like the former…
I started with j-dramas first too! Later on when I watched a few k-dramas, I realized they're really diff in terms of quality and content, but it's also a fact that good j-dramas are rarely widely available and you have to really search for themπ
I didn't know about this term, but I had an idea that such a culture exists in Japan. Nice article! When I got into Japanese shows/movies, I started with LA adaptations and a lot of fl in them were the typical "naive/innocent" girl, and I found then really annoying. I guess I was also annoyed because I started to think if these are the kinda girls men like, it'll never be me. I saw myself in the other girls better, who didn't end up with the ml. LOL. But, I did find some of them cute, like Karirin, as you mentioned, from, "I'm underage..." She was so cute. I didn't expect to like her when I read the summary, but I was genuinely surprised. I think the otana-kawaii factor worked on meπ My definition of "strong woman" has changed a lot over the years. Now I feel the characters, not just fl, but the male characters as well, are better written. I like the change. And I hope that this burden on women to always stay, "youthful and happy", subsides.
I'm confused, was she lying when she said she liked Minato as "family"? Because if not, then things kinda make sense... Tsumugi: She is not wrong for not wanting to break up with Minato because she never did anything wrong. She truly loves Minato and is not to blame for Minato's insecurities. Minato: When I think from his pov, I kinda get it. If what Tsumugi said is true, then it makes sense why Minato might wanna break up. Since highschool, he's had a crush on her. For Tsumugi, he was just a friend. When a friend is so close to you, they could either become something more, or become family. In this case, he was like a family to her. However, Minato's feelings were romantic. He often draws comparison between his and Sou's relationship with her, because what they had was different. Tsumugi and Sou were involved romantically, which is what Minato wanted for himself. But he can't, 'cuz not all "love" is romantic. But it's weird that she doesn't have romantic feelings for him and was dating him, so, now I'm confused...π
very great points.. by the way , I think in the episode 4 preview Dan will realised that he likes / love Asuka?…
I think she might at first, but will eventually start to like him. Or there might be a time leap of sorts, I don't really know, but I have a feeling they'll end up together, 'cuz it's a rom-com
Ep 3: I get that it's important for them to be independent, but Sumire was wrong for blaming Asuka. It was her job to do everything for them, how is she at fault if they're dependent on her? I'm glad that she understood her pov at the end. The scene where they both talk was sweet. Both of them have a different perspective, but they both see the good in each other. -I was scared that her sis will forgive her bf, but I'm glad she didnt. Also, the entire group standing up for Asuka and her sis was so sweet! -I think Dan already likes Asuka, but he only asked her out because he wants to write a love song...I wonder what'll happen when he realizes his feelings for her...π
If you're looking for a lighthearted, fun show, then I would definitely recommend it. The songs are good and the characters are also likeable. So far, each episode has left me with a smile at the end and I look forward to it every week!
I looked right away at tags for show only says friendship nothing about nana relationship is this based on novel…
I mean, it is a rom com, also the last scene and the new promo implied the leads getting closer, so, it's highly probable they'll fall for each other...
So, like, this is the one thing I definitely didn't want happening in the show, but I saw it coming... Minato, is a good guy, no doubt and I get his feelings as well. Knowing that the one you love is not the same person that they were with someone else, can be hard. BUT, what I don't get is, that, how can Tsumugi, in any way, reassure him that her feelings are real. I'm now convinced that Tsumugi is in love with both the guys. But, can you really blame her? And she is still a good girlfriend. She never crosses any boundaries with Sou, spends most of her time with Minato, tells him that she loves him, never implies her feelings for Sou, never does anything to make Minato feel insecure, I mean, what else does Minato want. It's not Tsumugi or Sou's fault. I'm not blaming Minato either. But he really should've talked to her before he decided that they are meant to be. Oh god, Minato, why would you do this to yourself tho? 'Cuz we know that if Tsumugi and Sou end up together, he'll be the only one left behind...
"Continue, run away or give up, either is fine. You just shouldn't regret it"
I wish to see more of her as a teacher, 'cuz it seems like she was a very encouraging teacher to not just Dan, but in general. I liked the first ep. All the characters are interesting and the songs are good. The acting is...fine. Tsubasa might've overdone it at some places, but people are definitely hating on her a lot more than she deserves. I hope as the show progresses, the actors get a little more comfortable with their characters. But I'm pleasantly surprised by the 8loom members, 'cuz even though they're new, they're doing pretty good. I want to see more of their personalities and their backstories. Also, the "not falling in love with the members" condition is definitely going to be a trouble later on, 'cuz the leads are definitely going to fall for each other...π
