I'm in awe of how much thinking would've gone into writing the story. The movie on its own was a little underwhelming for me, but it was a fun watch regardless.
Oh, what a ride! I had been putting off watching the last episode for too long and now that I've finally finished it, I'm missing them already🤧 The last episodes were not as bad as many people made it sound. I'm glad that 8loom didn't break up and Dan and Asuka were finally together in the end. If the problem is the lack of romance, then one needs to understand that Dan is quite young and rn needs to focus on his career more, so it makes sense if they don't go on dates or make elaborate gestures. Just drawing a flower on each other's hands is enough for them and honestly, was enough for me as well. I really enjoyed watching 8loom grow and now I can't really say goodbye. But, that "let's 8loom again someday" gave me hope, and I wish there could be a season 2!
P.S: After re watching it, I'm like 99% sure now that Naruse had feelings for Dan. Also, Mori Shoot is a really good actor and I hope to see him and everyone in more projects...
Did the production team just imply that Naru had feelings for Dan, and that Forever or Never might have been from…
I kept wondering through the last episodes if Naru had feelings for Dan, 'cuz honestly, it seemed more than just him being frustrated that he wasn't giving time to 8LOOM, but then they didn't elaborate on that. I really need a sequel, so that we can get to know more of their back stories and Naru's feelings, if he did like Dan...
I listened to the song again, and it makes a lot of sense now! -firstly, it seems weird for Dan to be able to write a song like this himself, 'cuz he isn't frustrated about his feelings or anything. However, it would make sense for Naru, 'cuz he knows Dan likes Asuka.
-Besides the lyrics, " brown eyes, black hair", the lyrics- "before I start to despise you" and the "I hate you, I love you, I can't keep doing this" could also explain his behavior in the last few episodes. For him to become so bitter, so quick, it's got to be his unrequited feelings for Dan.
I hope this series would be available in international streaming sites like Netflix.
Before the broadcast of the show, multiple times they had made it clear that it'll be on Netflix worldwide, but idk what's taking them so long to make it available...🤷
My favorite scene was probably when Dan says "you don't have to aim for a full flower mark, what's wrong with…
Yup. She constantly put herself down for running away from the school, considering herself a failure, but just like she praises everyone else, she needed someone to praise her too. She said in the first ep itself that she'll work hard for a flower mark, and Dan made her realize that she doesn't need one. She is perfect the way she is...
This is a drama where there is no character I dislike. And Asuka is my favorite character here. She has always…
Same. Everyone is just so likeable, and it's refreshing to have shows without any villains, 'cuz there are enough problems in life, the last thing you need is unnecessarily evil characters to create problems. Asuka is one of the few fls who are nice and kind, but not naive and dumb as many are portrayed. Even in shows where the ml is younger, the fl is often made to be someone who constantly needs to be saved, but here, you can see that just like the real world, she is the most mature person. She is the one who often saves others, and others can only help so much. I like that they let the characters act as per their age, which is rare in the drama world.
Ep 7: Even though I've watched it before, the scene where Asuka falls to the ground outside the school never fails to break me...I had not expected her back story to be so depressing when I started watching the show... It's refreshing to see that even though Chayney is a rival group, they are not jealous or scheming, but rather happy for them as well. Also, I love how the boys were planning to thank Asuka even when they didn't know about her past. They are all so precious. Another great lesson this show taught me: Spend your energy and kindness on the people who deserve it, and it'll all come back to you.
So everytime Nana teaches someone sign language, she gets angry if that person spreads, shares that knowledge…
I don't think that's what she meant. It's kinda like how Sou reacted when Nana wanted him to make new friends. She didn't think of teaching him sign language as a way to spread awareness or educate people, but just to be able to talk to him. I guess she just misunderstood his intentions that created all the problem. Also in Aoba's case, she was just jealous 'cuz she liked Sou...😅

I love the instrumental versions of the songs, they make me feel nostalgic, even though I still haven't watched the last ep😅😂
