Did you figure it out? Qing Qing basically announced to her parents and grandma that they were a couple when her grandma was in the ICU. Lu Fei was too nice to refute her because grandma's wish was to see Qing Qing settled before she died. It's a weird aspect of "dating" in China where announcements like that in front of parental units equal that the couple is contemplating marriage.

Just finished watching this show. The leads are so sweet and perfect together. I hope you give it a try.

I just finished this drama. Yes I always noticed Coffee panting heavily and looking freaked out. Poor cat!

I dropped Yanxi as well. Did not like the female lead or the story at all.

Some recent shows that are historical/fantasy. TMoPB will be closest in theme and quality. Nirvana in Fire is amazing as well. The others have their strong points:

Totally agree! Battle of Changsha is an excellent show. It's not an idol drama. All the characters are well rounded. Wallace and Yang Zi have great chemistry in it. The supporting cast is filled with experienced "serious" actors/actresses.

They played opposite each other in a series called 花非花雾非雾 (sorry don't know English title). They were both only 18 y.o. at the time and it was Deng Lun's first acting job.

lol... there's a really funny epilogue in the book that takes place after they are married and she is afraid to get married. apparently, it takes a lot of mutual cultivation for them to make their little bird baby.
