The Duke Su fan better be made of Beskar or Kyber crystal in order to be this strong and resist attacks from swords, unrealistic fight scenes like this made sense in Xianxia dramas but in historical series, it makes zero sense.
Even if the edges of the Fan are made of beskar, the paper filler or the middle part will collapse when hit with other metal. The only way this whole thing will work is if its made entirely of beskar and at this point. We are looking at metallic plates with complex folding mechanism fitted inside them and the whole contraption will weight way to much around 5 kg to be worth any use.
While avg sword use to weight around 1.5-2kg and both swords and spear have not only reach and sharpness advantages over the fan, but they can also concentrate the whole force at the point or slash with their sharp edge. Not to mention due to complex opening and closing mechanism, the fan already has point of weakness, which good old pointed stick (spear) will easily exploit, for context spear can penetrate inches of full plate armour.
