I don't blame him cuz Crown prince has the legitimacy but lacks any real talent is very "Cruel", second prince has the talent but lacks legitimacy or any other real backing, forth prince is dumb, only ML has great talent, scheming ability, legitimacy through his mother identity and the backing of overwatch consul. He is the only good option for him and no to mention, Emperor is obsessed with immortality and FX is his only key to the "God Temple/War Museum".

I have not watched the today's episode, but I believe it's the "Second prince and Elder princess" doing cuz they want to destroy this marriage. After the marriage ML will inherit his mothers lucrative business from the royal family, its currently in Elder princess possession and she is using it to fund second prince rebellion and various other wrong doings.
Its in their benefit to make sure ML marriage with Lin Wan Er never happens and ML is unable to inherit the Ministery of revenue. Emperor gets nothing out of it !

He will sleep his aunt and got the STD in the process, which Emperor will found about leading to his downfall and imprisonment in the palace. The paintings found by the current Empress in the crown prince room are of her in the Empress clothes. (sry for rude language, crown prince personality and this story cliche makes my blood boil)

At his last moments Emperor remembered ML mother had a very powerful weapon, which she used to assassinate the old crown prince (Emperor stole throne from his brothers with ML mothers help) but he never knew what the weapon was, until now.
The God Temple they are mentioning was actually the war museum containing weapons from our age, that why ML mother hid its location.

Bro fucking and supporting a contender to the throne are two different things and I don't blame her cuz crown prince is even worse than second prince.
He massacred the entire town and commit genocide just to turn ML against the second prince !
All I know is in the novel crown prince slept with her, got an STD and Emperor found out. He then imprisoned the crown prince in the palace.

Well ironically, she will have the last laugh and save the ML life in badass fashion.

I can tell you this much....he would pay dearly for his mistakes in the board day light in view of everybody.

I think he should have asked Emperor to give him the hand of Fan Ruo Ruo in marriage instead of the other guy cuz it would have tied ML hands, and it would be very difficult for him to argue against the marriage with prince.
by doing so he would have more chances to meet his crush !

It would be but second prince doesn't know about ML ancestry and let me warn you, according to the novel. There would be incest between the Elder Princess (Li Wan Er mom) and the crown prince.

He is acting like ML is his boyfriend or something and is cheating on him with multiple woman....I have not read novel but I suspect second prince has feelings for him and considering his inherit obsession and passion for ML. I won't be surprised if he tried to dress-up as woman in effort to seduce ML and use it against him.
Almost all of the royal family members have screwed-up brain, Emperor is sexually attracted to "Control", Crown Prince is after Elder Princess (Lin Wan Er mom) and Second prince is attracted to ML.

I personally believe Lin Wan Er should keep an eye on second prince cuz he is insane and obsessed enough with ML to dress up as woman in effort to seduce him. I know Fan Xian is a good tactician, but second prince passion for him transcends the realm of politics and into crazy lover, like he wants him all for himself !
Unpopular opinion, Lin Wan Er lacks chemistry with ML and their love story is boring as fuck. ML has better chemistry and understanding with the "Saintess of Northern Qi" and they look good together.
