So my problem with Zheng is,
We know Yan elder handed him the token himself to stop the rebellion in camp and he asked the permission from the elder before banishing them and Yan elder agreed in jail.
So as the investigator, he didn't knew the full story, yet he went to spew poison to the FL and sow discord between the ML and FL out of FREAKING JEALOUSY. There is no denying the fact that, he did that cuz he was jealous of ML and FL closeness at the banquet....you can argue ML was jealous in the past to, but he didn't told the half-baked truth to FL leading to huge cracks in their relationship and loss of trust in their relationship.
Now in next upcoming episodes, he will use the half-baked truth to advance his romance with the FL and exploit the rift to greatest extent, I am not against their romance but still it won't change the fact that, he used a lie to create misunderstanding and then advanced his lustful propaganda.
on the side note FL is an idiot to believe him !

I don't agree with the Male chauvinist part but SML did come across as someone, who consider himself to be morally and ethically superior to everybody. He clearly saw that, Emperor took the token from him and yet it didn't click in his mind that.....may be he was ordered by the King to find the token and the King wants the Yan family power back by using the Xei family.

Then again with his condescending attitude, he can't even think that....to soldiers and generals, these tokens don't mean a SHIT. They are Yan family army and they will listen to the command of every last Yan family member. That's how rebellions happens, soldiers are loyal to their generals not tokens and imperial edicts......ML knows this, even Emperor knows this and that's why Yan family has to be banished.
He can't fathom that simple logic cuz his pea size brain, slave to his own self-proclaimed moral superiority is unable to see the reason behind anybody else logic. Yan family greatest foe is the freaking Emperor and ML just saved them from him.
as for Yan army, ML managed to keep Yan family members alive and army will still only listen to the men, that raised and trained them...so the only thing Xue/Emperor managed to achieve is, they managed to take away the name of Minister of war from yan family (which is great example from history, idiot Emperors did believe trash like this), reality is different as we saw in first life, when army followed Yan to the palace.

We don't need salvation cuz apart from Yan family everybody profited from his demise and if ZZ is that innocent, he can investigate the 300 kids case and find out the truth.

I have been calling ML simp for the longest time but this time, he allowed Cui army soldiers to be killed for his Zheng army, tried to make sure young trash dies, captured FL and manipulated her father to help him and saved his own ass/Zheng army from being killed by his own family and Cui general.
It was pretty smart of him to do this and Cui family should hold young trash accountable for his betrayal and ignoring real general orders.

I just have enough FL stupidity and lack of communication skills and secondly I don't think she even likes him that much, considering She can't stand her ground in front of her mother or make it clear to new guy. Yeah so does ML but again we see, this timeline tries to correct itself and restore the things as they were. So against the FL and ML wishes I think, the past life events will pop up leading them both to commit unwanted crimes.
I personally believe Zhang will do something stupid and extreme and that will lead to his death/demise and in novel the character of ML is very bad to the point to extreme obsession due to jealousy of ML relationship with FL. He didn't like that she schemed to be the queen and SML is against her scheming and meddling with law, we will see that in upcoming episodes. I don't hate these guys cuz ML is kind of a bigger demon as compared to them.
If we follow the novel plot he is extremely obsessive over her to the point, where she preferred getting kidnapped overstaying with him, in first life destroyed the realm and then mockingly pick a homeless kid from the street and made him the Emperor and then committed suicide.

So I don't hate the ML's cuz everybody is a villain but SML and TML are the one of lesser kind, while Leads are of worst type and hence deserve each other.

Then don't need to create any understanding, FL and SML are extremely incompatible with eachother. FL has paid bribed the guards and directed the whole "Earl of You" family drama to help her friend in You mansion. The SML is law purest and he will be against it at minimum and probably charge her with crime of some sort, and then he remembers his past life with FL. So he will and is trying to actively go after ML by finding any possible reason, this will not sit well with the FL and we will have the breakup.

The problem with SML and TML is they love FL for her beauty (or certain aspects of her) and want to change her into something they like, only ML lover her for who she is !
