I second Amy, Nine is her very best work as it has the best written plot & characters, one of my all time fav. W sadly has turned ridiculous at the later half. And Alhambra had the weakest pilot among the 3 (& still is so far for me).
Imo this writer tends to make her main characters feels like a two dimentional one ( lacks depth) like the one in W & this one (so far) (probably because the plot writing is already too complicated enough, lol) but Nine had everything, characters depth, engaging story, heartwrenching romance & mindblowing plot twist which isn't ridiculous, so I gave it a 10 out of 10 too.

When every single ep always tops the previous one & their next ep preview even looks more amazing, I died, this drama is seriously, crazily good, so funny, so heartfluttering, so fun to watch, fav! I had the biggest smile from ear to ear everytime I watched this drama, my cheeks still hurt from all the laughing, am having a blast, thank you writer nim!!

Don't worry, with this writer there'll be someone died & resurrect again, even the main lead character. There'll be some reset point within the drama too, trust me, I think I've watched too many drama from this writer, so maybe that's why I find it isn't mind blowing as watching it for the first time, kinda formula-ish :P

I love classical music/drama (with YAI which's a plus) so I think Secret Affair is a clear safer bet than SITR then (besides I want my tablet to be safe & sound too, lol).

But actually, you've made me want to watch that drama too, lol, maybe sometimes later after this drama ended. May I know which one do you recommend it more? Secret affair > SITR?

Oh wow, did I sound sarcastic? I didn't intend it to. As you may see, english is not my first language so my words might came out as wrong.

I never watched SITR nor secret affair, so I need to ask you to know what do you mean that the writer didn't understand noona dramas at all that those drama you mentioned seems understood it to you.

If that means a man - woman relationship and not a woman with his teddy bear or boy like you mentioned above,
I think we haven't reached that part yet as they're still in their early ep (early stage of relationship)
I wanted them to go that way but not from the get go, but gradually.
Tbh, I find their relationship right now are fresh & beautiful. Imo, they can always develop it as a man & woman relationship later as their bonding gets deeper (which I very much hope so)

If you follow this page earlier before the drama started, you may see that there's this kind of ppl who called/referred an actress(es) who acted on noona romance drama as cougar ladies (which I find very insulting).

That's why I'm really thankful for this drama to give a different approach on noona romance drama (with a more poetic way which I very much prefer) that ppl would not misinterpreted noona romance drama as a lust relationship between noona & dongsaeng which I find very insulting to the actress who played in the drama.

(I hope my words won't be misinterpreted this time as I don't want & didn't intend to insult anybody whatsoever).

Ikr, idk why there're so many immature fans keep accusing someone here & there and keep making a false assumption in this page, just so unhealthy.
Like trashing other dramas viewers who don't have the same "taste" with them or pointing fingers to ppl that they had purposely rated this drama lower, etc. Like dude, wake up!! this is not the only drama ppl have rated it as 1, every drama has that, even fav of mine too, & by a lot.

No need to bother too much about it because it won't matter at the end, esp given this is a popular drama with a high amount of viewers.
Like you can rated them as 1 or even a 10 but it won't matter if the majority is not, statistically the rating would gets higher or lower depends on the whole majority rate. So just relax & enjoy your drama. Too much focus on rating will ruined your enjoyment of watching.

So please guys, have some respect to those ppl who comment & posting about their thoughts of this drama and stop accussing people, giving opinions are totally different with spreading unreasonable hatred.
If fans didn't want to hear anything but praise for this drama then they certainly need to live in their own bubble.

True. Adulting is hard, you might get bitter, tougher & feel more insecure in the process but you're demanded to bear it all because that's what ppl expected from an adult would do. So it might feel rather suffocating especially in CSH situation. That's why I can relate why CSH drawn to KJH's bright & optimist personality because he feels like a breath of fresh air / a lil' room for her to breath & reminds her of her youngerself used to be or maybe something that she can learn to have it again from him.

Agree, I'd like to see them being emotionally connect first then built their chemistry as their bonding gets deeper rather than 100% intense chemistry from the get go.
Because with this kind of plot it could be easily misinterpreted as lust, which wouldn't leave any better message to the viewers at all.

Uhm I've watched that & I loved it but I still don't understand what are those requirement that apparently Jianni think any noona drama should have. That's why I think I need to ask her to enlighten me a bit.

This drama seriously, they had me stitches, crying from laughter & shed tears from their beautiful bonding moment, excellent!!! It's like watching every girls fanfiction & oh, ep 4 is the most hilarious ep ever!!!

It gets lower because it means more people are contributing in rating & in average they might gave lower scores more.

I haven't rated this yet (usually it took me 4 ep or more to rate) but I don't mind with ppl rated the series as the ep progressed. They can always change their rating as they're watching, so with those rating we can catch a lil' bit of gist on how ppl took the drama up to their current ep (the reception) but it never reflects their final score so don't bother by it too much.

The final & stable score would only be known a little more sometimes later after the drama completed, it's always like that.

I don't think it's unfair because every drama (not only this drama) had this kind of system, it applies to every drama on mdl.
So I don't get why a lot of ppl complaining in this page, even a few of them pointing the gun at someone else (which later proved to be blunder & false) & frustating much when the rating gets lower.
Relax, just wait & see, the ratings might get higher (or lower) later, depends on how great the upcoming ep will be.

Have it ever crossed your mind that maybe they rated Encounter higher because they do think that it's the better drama for them?

Is it forbidden for ppl to watch both Encounter & Alhambra? And why do you even have to bring Encounter to the table at the first place though? They aren't related at all, genre wise, airing time etc, I don't get it.

Just to be clear, I've watched both ep of this drama but haven't even rated them yet, so I don't think it's appropriate to point other ppl had purposely rated this drama lower, lol.

3 ep only & I didn't even manage to finish this, sigh (stopped at ep 2).
I can't connect with the characters nor felt their supposed to be love to eachother, everything feel rushed to me. Aside from their beautiful background, music, material, cinematography, visuals, I find there's something lacking with the built up of the characters story/background, from the way they spoke, behave & moment they shared, the characters feel way too modern & I feel empty watching it so yeah.. Although I feel bad for the cast since I love them all & hopefully I'll be able to finish them sometimes later but for now I think I'll drop this.

While I still think that my above reply to Kim is still valid that the whole setup clearly had disadvantaged KJH position for being less social/background compatible than CSH & her ex husband had, hence people may see them as less compatible in background/chemistry wise than her with her ex-husband so it's a bit unfair to compare.

I do agree that I hope to see KJH & CSH relationship will go deeper as a man & woman as their relationship progressed later & see a more mature side of KJH (& yes that's include sex if they had to)

It'll be a challenge for PBG to have a breakthrough image from his pure flawless image he had right now (which I very much adore because seriously his real personality is truly something that everyone shd cherish)
But as an actor, it'd widened his range to become a more versatile actor (even if I think that he already is rightnow)

Only time will tell if this drama will be heading that way or not, as for now I'll just sitback & enjoy watching this beautifully told drama.

As for their rating, don't worry, they're still going strong & stable at 9%, it's considered as spectacular since they aired on a paid cable tv channels and aired on weekdays (weekdays drama relatively had a far lower ratings than weekend drama ratings)

I think it's a bit unfair to compare them like that though, because her ex husband character didn't have to suffer this 3 major gap that Kim Jin Hyuk had to suffered:

1. Age gap: CSH is introduced as a more adult person while KJH is introduced as a fresh green grape, young & bright character
2. Social status gap: CSH is a CEO & KJH is her employee
3. Background gap: CSH is far wealthier than KJH is, they lived in a total different world.

So I think it's a bit unfair to say that CSH & her ex-husband had a better chemistry than her with KJH because ofc they should be that way since they had a way more compatible background, social status & suffered for the same exact controlling mother while KJH does not

But the beauty of this drama is to show us that the difference in them brings more color to their world even if other may see that they're incompatible to eachother.

True, there's a lot simbolism shown in their scenes that portray a lot of greek mythologies/fairytales which I find very beautiful/ sad, something that we rarely find (almost none) in kdramas, it shows that they put a lot of thoughts when making this drama.
Sad that some ppl might not catch their beauty & just stereotyping them as cliche without understanding there's an underlying meaning behind every little scene they shown.

Why do I keep getting this bittersweet feelings when watching this drama..

Jin hyuk may become Cha Soo Hyun's way of light to get a happier, meaningful life, the one who breaks her shell (like that one butterfly who keeps coming to awake the sleeping princess in the painting/animation they've shown in the ep)

but they may or may not ended up together (butterflies had a very short lived)
And her ex husband may become her very end game here.

To those who wonder if they're cliche, I don't think they are.
