Personally so far I love the remake more than the original, I find they're better in terms of production quality, flow of the story (character's decision or act makes more sense in this remake) & OTP's chemistry.
I love the original too but imo, this one so far is also a great remake. They're able to follow/stay close to the original without copying the entire scenes but only the idea while recreate a whole new scenes & insert some tweaks here & there, so eventhough I've watched the original just recently, am just excited as much as watching it for the first time & can't get enough to see what's more to come. At this point, I don't even know if they'll ended it like the original because anything can happen with the changes they've made/possible to make.
Woah, it's getting intense! I'm holding my breath through their ep subconciously, and when I see that certain scene on ep 6, I think I might having a heart attack!
This might be a dumb question but is this gory? or graphic? I can't really handle gory and graphic too much TT
Don't worry, no gory nor graphic scenes whatsoever in this one, although this one might still gives you the chills, but it's more on the psychological side. It's a romance thriller just like the tags.
IS SHE NOT GOING TO TOUCH HIS SCAR??? THAT PART FROM THE ORIGINAL DRAMA IS ONE OF THEIR MOST ICONIC MOMENTS
Yes that was a very touching moment & impactful scene in the original. Hope that they were just saving it for later, it's too beautiful to get wasted/skipped ;_;
Why are the viewership ratings dropping? :( the drama is good
I honestly don't know, some might expect more fluff /didn't expect the ML to be this dark maybe? If that's the case then they were watching this drama for all the wrong reason.
It's unfortunate because that is the exact reason why I find this drama amazing. Where else would we find another ML this dangerously attractive in kdrama land? ❤ Hope they'd keep this dark tone & unsettling feelings they created throughout the series, I'm loving the thrill & suspense they gave <3
This is that kind of drama where the more you watch them, the more you'll be craving for more. And 1 hr flew by like it's nothing because Moo Young's deadly gaze has absorbed you in.
should i start watching this? any hints about them being siblings? (if so, it's an immediate drop ._.)also, is…
Hmm, I think them being sibling will be change in this remake because I notice there's some changes they've made in the pilot ep, but nobody will know that for sure until the show finished its airing, because even in the original it was only revealed in the very last ep.
But if you mind him being 'physically' cheating then you'll miss the point of this drama. I believe there'll be quite plenty make out scenes of him with other women. Because in the original he had a quite plenty bed scenes too. The original was quite dark & twisted and I hope the remake will be as dark as the original too (minus the sibling part) otherwise I believe they will loose the core/essence of the story.
I'm sooo excited because all three leads are my fav, like Thank Goodness it's my dream casts <333 But they've also made me sooo confuse because I really can't choose which one to ended up with So Min's character. I think I'm doomed because whomever So Min's character ended up with, my heart will be broken either way since it means the other one will be heart broken < /3

I respect your opinion but I beg to differ. I don't think KMY's character being shady ruins the complexity of Ryo's, in fact it makes him more intriguing & interesting to me. To me, KMY 's being shady add this mysteriousness /layered characters of him & gave me this unsettling feelings & curiousity whether have he ever felt sincere.
It's a remake after all. They won't be 100% the same like the original because who would want that & where's the fun?
So far, 2 ep in watching the remake, I liked seeing the change they've made from the original & excited to watch their next ep.

Yes, hearing what the PD said during their conference I think they were hinting us about that possible changing. It's higher chance for them to get a backlash if they didn't change that after all, so I do think the remake would be different than the original eventhough I'm still expecting them to make another daring plot twist to keep us surprised ;)
I watched the J-ver only after I find the pilot ep of the remake was so damn intriguing & I can't hold back my curiousity. Binge watched their 11 ep in a day & had no regret. I think now I can enjoy watching the remake even more because I can compare & notice what's different between them two. So far, from the first two ep, I love the korean remake more because KMY's character was made more shady/dangerously attractive than Ryo's (the J-ver) & they had a better production quality. The actors, Takuya Kimura & Seo In Guk both nailing their dark character very well though, they're irresistably charming & acting so on point.
However, please keep in mind that there's this major plot twist that ppl hated in the original (which we don't know whether the remake will follow), so I don't think it's a good idea to watch the J-ver if you haven't spoiled yourself/prepare your heart with that.
About that twist I think it'll be hard for them to change it in the remake as it was essential to the plot. But…
Interesting, it's a great idea to make them related but not by blood, foster siblings, sibling through married, etc. That way they can keep their major plot twist but making it less disturbing.
KMY can be the son from his father & YJK can be the daughter from her mother and they're related because their parents married to each other. That'd be so much better than real siblings, anything but that actually, lmao
And yeah, seein' the pilot ep of the remake, I feel something different, like KMY has known something from the very beginning, I wonder if it's true
Idk how much do you want us to spoil the J-ver because there's this major spoiler, so I think I'll write them…
MAJOR SPOILER #5. That murderer turnsout was KMY's AND YJK's father. So both KMY & YJK are real siblings related by blood.
#6. That burn scar they had, was a burn scar caused by the same accident, from the collapse boiling water when their father was shot to death. Little KMY was protecting his little sister, YJK, so he had a bigger scar than hers.
#7. YJG has made them an orphan since he killed their only family, so he took the responsibility & want to adopt them both, but little KMY who was traumatized (from witnessing his father's death), runaway from the hospital he was taken care of (for his burn scar) & ended up in an orphan. And YJG ended up as YJK's brother.
#8. YJK at the end shot KMY & herself, ending their life.

#4 YJG had a secret past, backthen when he was a young cop, there's this case about a murderer he need to catch, but at the end he shot him & caused him to death.
I love the original too but imo, this one so far is also a great remake.

And it has the cutest villain ever xD
