can someone explain what this drama is and why it's so popular cause the description dosen't seem great
Yo hyun jae is a popular idol in the 90s, one day he's accidentaly travel through time to the year 2017 from year 93. He then met Choi Wo Seung & Ji hoon who is struggling to achieve their dream/make a living. They ended up living all together in a hideout in JH's room. Eventually HJ learns something about his past that he doesn't even know, something that connect him to JH. He also learns that he was declare dead in '94 one month after he went missing, so there's 1 year gap between the current 93 HJ & the day he die/dissapears in '94 so he tried to reconnect/figure it out from all the information he got. This drama is really great and refreshing to watch, it's different from the others, the mystery, time travel plot, the characterization & especially the comedy, it's too darn hilarious. Just try to watch the first 6 episode(@30min), I believe you'll love it rightaway. ♡

Yeah, am kinda lost my interest in this drama and not sure if I Iike the direction they're heading to. I love their character, the mystery part but now I don't feel it as interesting as they're used to be, I hope I'm wrong :')
Well, ep 21-24 is def not my fav, it's so hard to watch because of the whole noble idiocy, playing hard to get and "it's my fault" thing. The plot is too draggy as expected coz I think 20/40 episodes is too long for this kind of a drama. However, they ended this week episodes well as some secret has been revealed & they're balancing out the mystery/comedy/romance part. Not sure how they'll hold it up till ep 40 though, but I hope for the best. SP, fighting!

Hyun Jae went to the year 2017 from 1993 not 1994, he did announce "died" in 1994 when his car was found at the lake after 1 month dissapearing. So the current HJ is the 93 HJ (remember he said that it's no use for him to get back to his time in 93 now because he'll die/missing 1 year later). And after seeing how HJ feels right now to BH I don't think it's possible for them to have a love line. It's only my opinion though, you may feel otherwise.
Yes, it's possible that his time on 1993 stop, so he may return & no one realize he was missing (this probably related to my point #7 too)

I doubt that Hyun Jae is indeed Ji hoon's dad, because:
1.HJ was teleported to the year 2017 from year 1993, JH was born in 95. (23years old in korean age means 22)
2. Therefore, HJ hasn't start any romantic feelings towards BH like we seen on his reaction right now too, nor dating with her.
3. If HJ is indeed JH dad then HJ needs to get back to the past & develop relationship w/ BH
--> I don't think he will because I don't think he has any interest whatsoever (romance wise) & the idea if he might done that only to conceive JH (in order for JH to exist) is just too icky for me
4. So imo it's either BH is lying, or she has no idea if it's not HJ she's sleeping with (probably not in her right state of mind after drinking)
5. Or there's a pararel/alternate universe we're not aware of

6. Where is the other missing broken watch? We know HJ bring his watch along with him when he came to the year 2017 & both HJ & JH's watch stop once they met. Does this means HJ time is also stop when he is in 2017?
7. HJ is declared dead on 1994 1month after he dissapear (I watch the scene twice just to ensure it, lol). Did Kwang Jae & CEO aware that he is missing in 93? Or only in 94?
This drama is messing with my feels, in the beginning I keep jumping ships, from Ji hoon to Hyun Jae coz both are so adorable, but when I think I'd settle with Hyun Jae, I don't think there's any ship to sail, all is sinking, wae show waee??.. Gimme my ship T____T

Yap, he is the tyrant. But I think this drama want to explore it more on his humanity.
From the hystory he did once was a wise king, a good administrator & like to help the poverty, until he found out the truth why his mother died & then become, well, lunatic. I think the show is great to show us how complex/layered character yoonsangun is, and he is not born evil.
One word, this drama is amazing, despite many airing drama I've watched, it's hard to find the one that hooks you rightaway like this one does. Lee dong gun's portrayal as Yoonsangun is really great & complex. I can feel his pain & struggle. I hesitated to watch this at first as I was afraid it would be too stressful or boring, but turnsout they've made it well balance with so much heart to the stories, great sageuk as expected from KBS. ♡
Damn, lee dong gun, he's smokin hot in this, I ship ❤ , I feel bad for his character here though, he is so lonely ;( . I love how amazing their chemistry are, both (king & prince) w/ chae kyung. Also idk why but I feel both LDG & YWJ suits saeguk really2 well, like they're born for this (if there're such thing) XD
