A bizarre drama with good concept & promising material but couldn't translate well on screen as they failed to make ML's family redeem their failure as ML's brother, mother & father. They dragged the first love thing too much until the last ep & even the last two ep is focusing on weird & unnecessary murder plot that doesn't even align well/ important to the actual plot: how ML is so miserable living all his life & yet no one show their concern. Not even a sorry coming from his shitty brother (from being an awful undeserving brother) or the FL (for all the lies & make him her lab rat) yet the ML forgives them all the way.
That's funny lol although this drama is so bad, at least to me it's not boring to watch

True, only both of them know what really happened in that room & the whole situation is ambigious in a way to me too. There might be power imbalance in which he's famous I agree, but I still can't shake off the feeling at which rape victim would ever want to be in the same space again with a guy who just raped her to even ask him where to go for lunch? Like, ain't any victim would feel disgusted, frightened & hated him to be even in the same space? Let alone planning for future meeting?
Hence it's questionable if the situation was truly a rape, or they went for it over situation/mood at that time but she regret it as it doesn't turn into something/serious relationship coz they're not in the same page. But if it's the latter then it can't be deemed as raped to me.
It's up to people (their rights) whether they want to stand neutral or choose not to watch his drama, but to put his name to shame, dragged & teared him down over a thing that's still questionable & unproven is just malice. They can be one of the reason why there's a lot suicidal case in SK, throwing hate & push people into corner over unproven case.
Just because he's famous it doesn't mean he shd lost his rights as a human to be given the benefit of the doubt.

Would a victim who has just been raped ask the guy who raped her where shd they went for lunch the next day (In which he can show the message in court to counter her claim)? Like, would you legit do that if you're in her position as a rape victim? Not defending a rapist but dragging people down & put their name to shame over allegation without real evidence is just as bad. Is it really a rape or is it "inconsentual" because they both get led on by their situation hence proceed without "asking" ? Can't you tell the difference?
The court is on his side (win his counter sue case) & K-netz is silent over this issue (knowing knetz & their widely known cancel culture, they won't let him continue his career if he's proven guilty), why would you think us people who lived across the sea & too far away from them to know every little detail, know better than them?
Not sure how to rate this drama I liked the initial ep, but after Shen Du got tamed & they dumbed Yan Xing down and turned her into a stubborn, reckless mess, I find their relationship dynamic just too imbalance with only one side of party doing all the work, w/ confessing his love, accomodating all her needs, wooing & try taming the heart of the other party by literally being a simp in love (I hate this trend of making the ML character a simp as soon as they fell in love, the same reason why I dropped Wonderland of Love too).
Even the last arc I find wasn't needed & unnecessary just to show that once again Yan Xing holds the power while ML shd be kept to be always on his toes, at this rate I wonder if Yan Xing ever love the real Shen Du, or is he just a fragment of her childhood crush that she feel fond of.
I watched Forever and Ever and One and Only and I could feel the emotions better than with some who go through…
I'm not saying it can't be good, ofc there are drama with more physical affection & less emotional impact too, but my point is I don't see why I shd settle with less if I can hv both, it's good if it's working without but it can also be better with more affectionate kisses shown. I dropped One & Only as it's too boring & slow for me & dropped Thousand Years for you too, hence I'm wary & ask if the other thing (plot, characters, arc etc aside the romance) is worth the shot
Despite keep being frustated at times, I still liked this drama until ep 13, but ep 14 is just as absurd as ever, like what's the point to make the ML suffer all this time, all for what? Revenge? He's too kind to do that, forgiving that lil' piece of shit so easily, FL too has lost her chance to be honest, Mother? Smh she doesn't even bother with her kid all her life, why shd I care for her now, it's too late to show redemption arc both for his mom & his shitty lil' brother, I couldn't care any lesser for both of them

He's a good actor I agree & if this is a non romance genre/ has romance only as its subplot then I wouldn't mind either, but for a romance-centric drama (not referring as this one is), kiss scenes are pivotal moment for the leads as the built up moment (tension ) throughout the series peak right there & then with it, hence I find it's a pity if they conclude it with a fish kiss one 😂 but yeah if the other element of the drama is good enough to make up for it then it's worth the shot.
